I stressed that I did not want them to shave her hair down close to her skin. She did have some matting, which I told them about when dropping her off, but they told me they could work with it. I also asked that her face be rounded, but they did not trim her face AT ALL. She had long bangs that hung over her eyes and they didn't even touch them, just put them in bows. She had 1 mat on top of her head and they shaved her head in that one spot and left the rest of it long. It looked absolutely ridiculous :( My husband and I had to cut her bangs ourselves when we got home just so she could SEE. They had her from 4:15pm - 7:30pm and I don't think they even gave her a bath. She didn't smell like shampoo and she still had dirt in her tail (which had also not been trimmed) Her nails were poorly cut so they were still sharp and long, one of them split in half at the tip? We think that because they were busy, they kept her in a kennel for the majority of the time and then rushed to finish her so they could go home. We will not be coming back and I do not recommend you bring your babies here.

Perfect on the car ride home, minimal whining when crated, perfect on a leash, very gentle with our grandson - completely calm around loud noises, such as the thunder we experienced this morning. As far as the negative reviews, all I can say is the current owner, Chris, is the farthest thing from what people say about the old owner. He was passionate about the dogs, extremely patient with my wife and me - answering all our questions, including any "negatives" that may impact our decision. All the dogs we saw were happy, well-behaved, and energetic. The store and training room were both very clean. We could not be happier with our puppy, or our experience with Von Dietrich.

Most importantly they taught me, the owner, how to better understand my dog's triggers & find alternative ways of addressing her behavior issues. I've had other smooth dachshunds before, and these two little guys are much more docile (but still fun!) and obedient, probably because of the long hair influence.

Our dog has been groomed regularly over the past few years and this time was among the best. He can also be itchy after a grooming, but I didn't see him scratch himself once after we brought him home. Everyone who works there is very friendly and they post cute doggie pics on Facebook with funny captions. So happy that we've now found the perfect groomer!

We've boarded our dog at a few places and are glad we came across this one. Now, it isn't a doggy daycare like other places, so the dogs aren't playing with each other. This does, however, mean the price is lower. We recently boarded our pup here for a long weekend and it was about half of what it would have cost at a daycare center. So even though it isn't daycare and the dogs aren't playing with each other all day, it seems like they have lots of room to roam and get plenty of playtime. Our guy came home tired and happy. Jill even sent along a few pictures of him playing around and it looks like he was in doggy heaven. We'll definitely be bringing our dog back again next time we're out of town.

Provided stairs for the big dogs to walk up into the bath, full pressure spray nozzle for complete & fast rinse, shampoo, conditioner, towels and dryer! (Of course, you can bring your own special/medicated shampoo, too). Tether to keep dogs from jumping out of tub and even water proof aprons to keep the bathers dry (or semi-dry!). We will definitely be returning!
