I ended up at Supreme Picture Frame under unfortunate circumstances. I had a large map, very special to me, framed at another frame shop in Chicago, and upon taking it home, I noticed the map was wrinkled. I brought it to Supreme Picture Frame and Brent, the manager (owner?), immediately diagnosed the problem and offered to fix it for no charge. I feel that kind of customer service doesn't exist these days. After picking it up, the map looks brand new. From now on, I will save myself the hassle and have Supreme take care of all my framing needs. read more

Wow why doesn't this place have more reviews? I've came here twice. First time was for a beautiful oil canvas painting which I received as a gift for Christmas. I wanted to stretch the canvas painting out onto a board so that I could hang it up in my bedroom. The guy who helped me out was very helpful. He explained to me how it would be done. I remember walking out of that place being very happy with how much it cost, but I guess since I wasn't technically framing anything but just stretching it out on the board, it was not that expensive. The second time I was there was to do a custom 14x14 frame. This time a lady helped me out. I told her that I just needed a basic black frame and I wanted to put a matte around the picture. She was very helpful in suggesting different colored mattes that would match the color of my picture. In the end, I decided on white. Can't go wrong with white! It's pure and elegant. She also gave me suggestions on how the picture can be put on a foam board for better support inside the frame. Most importantly, I wasn't pressured to accept her suggestions and she said that it was totally up to me. I decided not to put the picture on the foam board as it's an additional cost of about $25. She also said that if I later decide to have this, I can always come back at another time. The total in the end was about $150. I expected it to cost less since I requested for the most basic and cheapest frame. But hey, it's custom framing and not some mass produced standard frame from Bed, Bath & Beyond or Target. Overall, I was very happy with how the frame looks (classy!). And I'm willing to pay for the customer service and quality of their work. if you need custom framing, definitely check out this place. Had a great experience at surpreme picture frame. We went in - never having had anything framed before - with a lot of questions. All of our questions were answered warmly and graciously, and our piece was framed for $70 including tax (it was an 11x17 print). I found the staff to be incredibly helpful in helping to identify the frame and matting that were within my price range, providing suggestions for the overall color scheme on the matting and frames so that it would fit the rooms I wanted, and also very timely despite the Christmas season rush (because they were definitely busy). They actually finished my order earlier than quoted. They also provide 20% off on framing which is much appreciated. The finished product is outstanding. It is better than I expected and looks great. They do a very quality job there and the price point seems great to me considering what a quality job and professional staff you get to deal with. DO NOT GO THERE!!! This place was horrible and not very dependable. I had a rush job that needed to be complete and I stopped by the store at 8A (which is when they open accordingly to their website) and the doors were locked. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and after no one showing up, I left. I called their office around 9:30A and Austin answered and said he could absolutely help. After explaining that I was unable to go back to their shop (as it's across town) I asked if I could email him the files to be printed and framed. He said their email was not working but offered to come by my office and pick it up. Austin said he needed to connect with his production manager to check feasibility but would call me right back. I waited and NEVER received a phone call. 2 hours later I called back to follow-up and someone else answered the phone and said Austin was out on another job and wouldn't be able to come by until much later in the day. I explained to this guy my frustration of them first being closed and then not showing up and he seemed to care less and rushed me off the phone. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend them and will be going to a more dependable place. read more

Supreme Frame does a fantastic job. I had three 11 x 14 prints of a sentimental photograph that I needed framed and matted for Christmas presents. I only gave them the prints a few days before Christmas and the guys worked extra hard and put a rush on it so I would have them in time. The end product was phenomenal. They chose a combination of frame/matting and even a plaque that looked great! To top it off, they delivered the photos to my office on Christmas Eve. The employees are nice, but that does not make up for the extremely poor craftsmanship. I brought several large photographs to be framed for a show, and they fell apart as I was hanging them days later. The corners cracked, I requested new frames and they did a shoddy filler job. They also melted a photo while mounting it. I recently opened up the back of one of their frames to replace a photo, and I see that the mounted photo, spacers, and plexiglass is held together with packaging tape. Not exactly archival. Ill-fitting frames; cheap materials. Need I say more? Actually, I will. The shop is messy and unorganized. When I want things framed, I at least want the illusion of order and that my artwork is being treated with care. Sorry. read more

Correction update! I "have" to update the finale of my picture framing at Supreme! I thought the owner Barry's apology would have meant smooth sailing from "problem to wall hanging!" NOPE!! Call from studio suggesting they had no idea which order the matting (of two) was to go in---matting "size" incorrect in the end---"chip" on the left top of frame upon delivery! And the absurd--when I phoned the owner Barry-his argument was "tell us how we can make it right--apparently we can't please you!" SERIOUSLY??!! How about not going in the business unless you know your business!!! Very amateur-ish--and predictable---to hold the integrity and resolve to believe it actually correct to transfer the blame to the customer!! Quite a joke!! Save your $$!! Susan Graves read more
