I've done the stickers-on-laptop thing for years. But with my latest machine, a 12" MacBook, it was time for something different: Laser engraving. How does one choose an engraver for an expensive piece of electronic equipment? I found several engravers on the web, and visited a few in person. In the end, I chose Chicago Award Source. Firoz, Christan, and Jenna did an outstanding job with my engraving. Christan and Jenna were meticulous with the laser machine, double- and triple-checking the alignment. They even did a practice run on scrap acrylic. It was clear that I had placed my trust in the right team. I strongly recommend Chicago Award Source for any engraving you may choose to do. They handle laptops especially well. read more

Wonderful, family-run business! Quick turnaround just as promised, and the final product exceeded my expectations. Great experience! read more

These guys are the best! I came in earlier this afternoon (2 days before Christmas) looking to have a shirt custom framed as a gift for my dad last minute. I had been to a couple other framing spots in the area all who estimated ~ 2 weeks turnaround. The team here went above and beyond to help me get my last minute order on time. They were all so nice and accommodating. The person who took my order helped me through the process and even offered to pick up my items to be engraved from a nearby store, which saved me a lot of time. The engraver kept on testing to make sure the engraving on my items was going to work and that it was aligned perfectly before engraving, even though it was past closing time and his shift was already over. The owner kept the place open for me, showed me around, and even showed the engraving process to me. They didn't have to do any of that. The service was amazing and my customized gifts came out great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

Overall a great experience with Chicago Award Source (CAS). Very timely, excellent product, and good customer service. I called to have a farewell gift made for two friends who are leaving Chicago. I originally hit up a different shop but they were unresponsive to email inquiries and very slow in communicating with me, so I tried Chicago Award Source instead. After speaking with Firoz on the phone, I sent an email with notes about our conversation and corresponding photos for a frame job. The product was ready within a couple of days, but when I went to pickup we found out there was a small miscommunication - I had though I had requested two identical frames with different engravings, but CAS understood the request to be for only one frame with the two engravings inside the same product. Despite this, Chicago Award Source was very accommodating and worked with me to have modifications made. After discussing sizing adjustments and alternative options, within a few days I received two excellent frames with the specifications I wanted and at the same price point that I was originally quoted. I was very thankful that despite the initial miscommunication, CAS was very professional in their customer service, and made sure that I was able to get the items I needed in a timely manner. Would recommend to friends in the future. read more

I received a request from my manager to have an award engraved that same day within a 4 hour window. I reached out to Firoz and his team and without any hesitation, they were able to help me with time to spare! As someone who was stressed and anxious that the task would not be completed within the time frame needed, Firoz kept me updated (constantly) and assured me that there would be no issues. To say this company is fast, is an understatement. The urgency and customer care is something I have never experienced before or witnessed. read more

FAST FAST FAST service. Was promised a week for four custom trophies and they were done in three days. Could not be happier with the quality and service I received here.
