Positives: - They had table tennis figures in stock! - They said they could build it while I waited (really cool, but I was in a hurry to get home) - After ordering, I realized I had forgotten my wallet, and they said it was fine for me to pay when I picked up (extra cool to find a business that trusts it's customers) - I stopped in on my way to work the next morning, and the trophy was ready and waiting. - The price was really, really good. I was very disappointed with the engraving done on a golf trophy I took there. This trophy has been in our family and has names on it each year dating back to 1959. I specifically requested that the engraving lettering and font size match the previous years entry. When I got it back today, the font size was smaller, the zero in 2018 was filled in as was the letter O in my last name, and the period was missing after Jr. When I called it to the attention of the store owner, he blamed it on "the computer." Didn't have a good experience.....Nice but overpriced, inconsistent and their printing is limited. I was quoted one price of $15 then the owner tried to charge me $35 just to engrave 3 initials on my husbands leather briefcase. Unable to provide a proof of what the engraving would look like before being imprinted on the briefcase. I wanted it done right with it being a special Xmas gift. My gut feeling told me to go somewhere else. Im glad I did got a better product for a lower price at Artistic Engraving which is less than 3 mins away. read more

I had two days to get two awards created on a budget ($100). My search led me to Things Remembered in Lombard, but left, because it was cost prohibitive and the salesman was unhelpful. A google search turned up Ambees in Westchester. I called and spoke with Hatim, who patiently guided me over the phone through their online catalogue. I explained my situation (lack of time and limited resources) but he was dissuaded. The awards I liked he only had one in stock, but had a slightly larger and more expensive version in stock, which he sold to me for the cheaper price--I was impressed! I sent him the text and graphics via email a few minutes later and he followed up over the phone to let me know he would be able to include the logo, which added a very nice touch to the design. The next day when I turned up to the shop to pick up the items he told me that he'd made a mistake. Upon inspecting the items, the error was still not apparent to me. He said, I wanted the item to be right, so I made a third award in case you weren't please. Again, I still cannot identify the error. I was SO impressed by his honesty and commitment to good customer service, that I felt compelled to write a review. My experience was positive, and I plan to make the trek from Chicago back to Westchester next year to purchase from Hatim. From a cost stand point, he was VERY REASONABLE! Had I gone with Things Remembered, I would not have been able to get our logo on the item (because they needed a 2 wk lead time) and the engraving alone would have cost me $87 per award. The 2 awards and the engraving at Ambees cost me $110 and he turned it around in 1 day--simply incredible! Trust me, he is worth the drive, and you will be pleased with the work. read more

I had a great experience with them. I was looking for a plaque at the last minute (within a week). I tried different websites that let you design plaques, but they wanted 10 days to process my order. I contacted a couple of local places. Because they considered it a "rush" order, they wanted to charge me double. I contacted Ambees via email. Immediately they responded with questions and requested a sample. I sent them what I needed and they quoted me a price. This price was less than half of what everyone else quoted, so I was kinda hesitant. I sent them the final draft on a Wednesday (I needed the plaque by Saturday). They had the plaque ready Thursday. On the day I was going to pick up the plaque, I got stuck in traffic. I contacted the store and the owner decided to wait until I got there. When I saw the plaque I was amazed - he upgraded the plaque (at no additional charge). It was exactly what I wanted. We spoke and he wanted to make sure I was pleased with the work before I left the store. The previous comments were spot on. Would recommend them to any and everyone read more
