Excellent service and quick turnaround saved me on Christmas. I thought I was out of luck when a different shop messed up my frame 3 days before Christmas. Thankfully when I called All Right about my oddly shaped piece, they said they could build me a frame for pickup the next day, and then trim and frame my piece when I brought it in. On top of that, when I went to pick it up, the frame builder felt that it wasn't exactly perfect--I overlooked some details in the haste of the communication--so he adjusted the frame while I waited at no extra cost. The end result was perfect, at a reasonable cost, and faster than I thought possible, all with excellent and friendly service. I will definitely return in the future! read more

Mr. Patel, the owner, is a class act. You can really tell he is doing this because he wants to interact with people and offer a service at a reasonable price. He wants to save you money! Seriously. I was looking at one frame for a very large poster and he told me it would cost twice the price because he would have to order it. He then searched around for something similar that he had in house. But he doesn't deal with only cost efficiency! When I told him the large poster was for a nursery he suggested not getting glass, which is cheaper, but instead getting a high quality and light weight (not to mention shatter proof) acrylic. I agreed and paid the extra for the safety and piece of mind. In the end, for a framed, foam core mounted, and matted large poster I paid 1/4 what I was quoted at two different framing stores (one being Michael's with a coupon and during a sale). Also it was done the next day! Now if I had gone with the original frame that I wanted I know he would have happily done it for me and it STILL would have been around 1/2 the price I was quoted other places. So yes as others have said it is a bit bare bones but the service, quality and amazing value make up for it a thousand times over. Mr. Patel has got a loyal customer in me. After several months of searching for a place to get our certificates/picture framed, I decided to try a place local. Wow! Am I ever so glad I did. Please let me start by saying that when I went to Michael's craft store. The estimated cost was $262, that's with coupons! They also told me that it would take at least 4 to 5 days to get framed. However I go to all sales, the total cost with tax was $71. And the work was completed with in four hours!! They did a fabulous job. I've had several things framed with this business over the years, and it's definitely one that I recommend. That said, there are a few minor things to note. First and foremost, the new space is a bit confusing. The windows are papered over (they're still in the process of settling in!), so if it's within posted business hours, just pull the door and go in. They're open! Secondly, ask for an estimate before they start to write stuff up. I'm terrible at asking the right questions at the right time (my failing, not theirs!), and ended up with a much higher bill than anticipated. I'll also say that the prices have gone up slightly over the last couple years (totally expected!), but this is STILL the cheapest place you're going to get decent custom framing done in Chicago. I've liked custom work I've had done other place slightly better, but their price was at least twice what I paid at All Right Sales. I'm happy to sacrifice a negligible amount of quality for that kind of money. Additionally, the staff was lovely about working around my pick-up schedule. Overall, unless Michael's is running a 60% off + 20% off anything, go here. You won't be disappointed! read more

I would have loved to write a positive review, because the proprietor was kind and friendly. I went there looking for an olive green mat for a print in harvest greens and golds. But no matter how many times I repeated what I wanted, he kept pulling out mats in colors that were appallingly awful, like bright baby blue and royal purple. It took us forever to find the one and only olive green mat he had, and even that was --ehh... not great. I happened to ask how much it would cost and that's what drove me right out the door: $80 to cut a mat, when he'd already told me that an uncut mat would only cost $15. No assembly, nothing extra, just one mat, cut to order. Eighty dollars. Yikes. When I recoiled at that price, he immediately dropped it to $70. As I packed up my print to go, he quoted $50. As I headed out the door, he kept pressing me to take his business card, offering to carry my print to my car (how much cheaper would it have been by the time we got to my car? LOL). No. No, thank you. Thank you, but NO. I went to another store where I got exactly what I was looking for. They had so many wonderful colors to choose from, I had a hard time choosing among a half dozen beautiful shades of olive green. What's more, they charged me a grand total of $42 for far more: mat cut to order PLUS archival foam core PLUS hanging hardware, all fully assembled and ready to hang. And unlike All Right Sales, they don't confuse olive green with baby blue. read more

I do think this shop is as good as it gets when it comes to framing! They are super service oriented, calling me when my order is ready and consulting me on frame or matting color that enhances my artwork or photography. They have a wide selection of in-stock framing so they can turn around an order very quickly. And, they keep in mind my budget, too, which lets me splurge on framing my more valuable art pieces while choosing a lower-cost option for more standard frames. We brought a very complicated 3-dimensional original art piece here and Mr. Patel helped pick a frame that corresponded so well, and at a more reasonable price than any other frame shop I've been to. Since then, I keep going back here, and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in need of custom frames! It's not much to look at from the outside, and the inside is jam-packed with pre-framed prints, but please just go in. I wish I would have found this framing store earlier. Being a collector for years, I have spent countless dollars on framing. My most recent one was close to $500.00 (Joann's). I was told that when I ever needed any future framing jobs I should check this place out. And I did for a repair on a lithograph that fell off the wall and broke the over 80 yr old frame and glass that matched the rest of the 8 others that were part of a collection. I walked in at the end of the business day and Art the owner was welcoming and professional and was very interested in helping me immediately. When he told me he could maybe fix the frame and glass back to normal and said it would only take 20 minutes I was floored. I told Art oh no it's the end of the day I can come back tomorrow..he insisted to get it done as I waited! I was floored again! Then I said ok I will wait. Well when he showed me the final results in that 20 minutes the frame and glass was absolutely back to normal as if nothing had broken or cracked. Unbelievable. I was again floored when he told me it was $35! Needless to say the service and pricing was impeccable and I will definitely be using Art's framing for everything that is framing. I came in with a very very rare collectible and they put it in an amazing shadow box for me. He double layered it with 2 different colors and then layered the front too. It's hard to explain but it's the greatest thing I could have possibly hoped for. This is now completely a one of a kind vintage piece!! The toy community is going nuts for it! He took an hour to show me what steps he was going to take to frame it and shadow box it and I stayed as he did the first few steps to give me an idea as to how it's going to look. When I came back the next day (yes it only took 1 day!!) he had added extra depth and layers to it. The personal attention and care was unmatched. It wasn't a drop off and we'll call you in a week situation. And the price was very reasonable in my mind for what they did and considering it took less than 24hrs.
