Good authentic tacos! Very friendly and all kinds of food products of Mexico. Also has a meat market.

I was on the hunt for Aji Amarillo or Aji Mirasol for a recipe I'm preparing to make and I stumbled upon the Supermercado on Old 127 in my search. I was excited to find Aji Amarillo here, and also picked up some Mexican Oregano (Yes, it's different than Italian Oregano - It has more citrus undertones!), shrimp bouillon, and whole nutmeg. I also grabbed a couple tacos to try and they were amazing! Hands down, they wiggled their way into my top five taco spots in Lansing! I had the pollo, chorizo, and al pastor tacos, all with onions and cilantro. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the red and green salsas were incredibly robust, and they came in doubled up corn tortillas for the win! If you want to give them a try, head toward the meat counter, write your order down on a ticket, and hand it to the chef! You won't regret it!

I haven't had a chance to try the other food but if your looking for some bomb pan dulce this is the place.

I've heard many good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. I guess I didn't realize this place was a market too. The meat counter is filled with chicken, pork, and beef in many styles along with reasonable prices. I ordered a burrito. When it was ready I was like wow this thing is huge. A fork is much needed when eating this. So disappointed. They gave me the wrong meat and there wasn't anything fabulous to it. It was filled with meat, refried beans, and cheese. The menu said it included jalapeños but they weren't in my burrito. The salsa had a olive flavor to it which wasn't working for me. I needed up just ending the flour tortilla. Maybe I'll give this place another try and just get a taco.

asada tacos with cilantro, onion, and avocado

Had 3 asada tacos with avocado and a mexican coke, 9.66. New to Lansing area but not authentic tacos, have tried Oasis and the food truck by old town, and for me this is the best most authentic taco in town. Order in the back, pay at the counter. You can call ahead as well. Also the name of this place is actually Super Mercado La Estrellita per Google.

This is the best Mexican place in the Lansing area. Just go to the back near the meat deli counter and write down your order (pen and paper provided) and hand it to them. Do that first thing and you can walk around while you wait (get a soda, shop, etc). You can sit outside at the benches and eat there or take it home. The prices are fair. I'm not really a fan of pan dulces, but they are there if you like them!

Great tacos! Service was fast as well, and the kiosk I ordered from was a nice touch. At the back of a grocery store.

The food is amazing. I had it at a couple of catered events on campus. I just wished they delivered to my house :)

The space is large with plenty of seating, and they have a wonderful food menu with bagel sandwiches and delicious potatoes. The employee taking our order was patient and polite. I got the Parkside sandwich (bacon, egg, pesto, cheese), and Nate got a Thanksgiving sandwich special. I also got an oat milk latte. They have a pastry case full of pastries and doughnuts so I'd love to try those next time. It was nice to sit and enjoy our breakfast and I loved the latte - it was one of the best I've had recently, very creamy and smooth. The parkside bagel was quite greasy, but the flavors were so savory and yummy. I loved the pesto and it had a ton of crispy bacon. I saved half for later and it was still good heated up the next day. We got a side of the curry potatoes with some bang bang sauce to dip - these were so good! Crispy on the outside and soft inside, with lots of great curry flavor. They were pretty salty but I really loved them. This is an inclusive and welcoming space and I hope they continue to do well!

Finally! A bakery which has excellent customer service AND excellent baked goods! Other bakeries…read moreboast "old world recipes", too, but too much butter doesn't make it better. I ordered a German Chocolate signature cake and it was beyond delicious! The cake itself was moist and flavorful and the icing was perfect. It wasn't too sweet and was noticeably made from fresh ingredients. I never refuse a piece of cake, so from experience I can say that this German Chocolate cake was the most authentic you'll find in the greater Lansing area. The staff is very professional, helpful, and pleasant. They delivered the cake to my front door at no extra charge and took precautions such as a "no contact delivery." Their prices are reasonable, and moreover, less expensive than their competitors.

This company has tried to smear customers on their facebook page, deletes all reviews that are negative and even blocks accounts on facebook to prevent any kindve negative review. They have crossed a line with the community and are getting farther from getting any sort of respect back. This company in my opinion doesnt deserve business of hard working citizens, not after how i have seen how they conduct said business. ***End of updated section*** Avoid this place in regards to events and poor customer service. Between the staff being extremely unhelpful to an owner that is brazen and rude enough to try and over charge on a kids 5th birthday this isnt a place to do any event with kids of any age. Was advertised on facebook for a great place to do a kid birthday but thats far from truth. The staff was unpleasant - not as in they were extremely rude in the yelling manor but more of the crowd that never smiles and doesnt appreciate life. Doesnt introduce themselves, never gets involved and has a feeling of not wanting to be there. As a crowd that has small children every parent pitched in to clean up and help setup. The space was extremely small and even when told how many people were going to be there nothing was mentioned about how they dont have the seating to accommodate all (total of 8 children and 5 adults) - 6 seats for that crowd, I would think at least get enough for the kids - or better yet - explain to your customer prior that they would have to bring their own seats would be wise in my opinion. This was booked 30+ days in advance. We didnt complain about this when we arrived or left, its something i thought i would add just in case someone likes to deal with these kindve situations even after reading a detailed review. Lets move onto desert. Taste wise, ill give credit where credit is due - not bad, TBH had better for the price but thats not the point. The main point is that when making a unicorn cake whipped bakery missed the mark, even having a very well inspiration photo that isnt over the top. Well, I cant tell if they were purposely slapping us in the face or if it was i giant artistic mistake. After speaking to the manager/owner - im feeling it was both. To explain the major issue - they cant do a unicorn's horn at all... or ears... If you cant do it - please state that before hand instead of trying and making it look like something you would buy from an 'adult super market', if ya know what i mean. Moving onto price. The business was paid a $75 deposit, then prior to the event paid $187 for a cake and cupcakes ($135 for the cake, $42 for 24 cupcakes) after the event we paid the remaining balance for time/space of their floor ($75) and shakes made for everyone ($31 total, $10 for the b-day kid and $3 for the remaining 7 kids) bringing our end checkout $108 and change after taxes - where the issue comes in with price is the owner tried to have her lovely staff charge us ~$170 instead of $108. We had all the receipts to show what was needed to be paid/been paid and was explained to them what was going on but that is when things went real south. After having to listen to the owner huff and puff their stuff on the phone we thought that was the end of it. Unfortunately the owner then took it upon themselves to smear us on facebook. Saying we left things a mess and didn't pay our bill. When rebutted on their comments with class (no yelling, no name calling or being spiteful) comments would be deleted and accounts banned from their page only leaving the handful of praise comments that have no clue of the situation - and now cant be educated on the situation. When someone treats customers of their own community like this it screams volumes at the horrible person they have, and are, continuing to become. To go into detail about the mess - we had 2 out of 50 balloons pop, 1 was a small filled confetti balloon and the other wasn't filled. We picked up what we could and a small amount of confetti was left (all on the floor, none on products/counter tops) . Not done though, again credit where credit is due - we left a balloon group (about, 10 balloons). Now, this was an accident because we were so taken aback on how the staff treated us it was just forgotten - i guess you can say we wanted to get out of that horrible experience and never go back but in our haste forgot a handful of blown up balloons. To be smeared over that is completely unacceptable.

I got the bed head BLT and the bacon was so thicc I want it every day of my life. The bread was hearty and a little more toasted than preferred, but better that than soggy. I think the crusty bread just made it harder to eat. (But we made it work HA! So yummy) the potatoes had so much flavor, rosemary which I loved but some of the kids in the party did not care for. My partner got the breakfast nook and it was pretty simple and tasty. The fruit and yogurt bowl was a hit and looked incredibly fresh. The naan plate also got good reviews. We would go back if we're ever randomly in Lansing again. Plus we love to support a woman owned business!
