Make sure you speak Spanish. Came asked the girl for 4 tacos... 2 men came after me and she decides to offer a deal on 4 tacos with a soda for less. When I asked her why she didn't offer me the deal she said I didn't ask for the deal while I heard her offer it to the 2 men. I speak read and write Spanish, spoke to her in Spanish but was addressed in English. What she did offer me was the free soda that was included with the meal she offered the men but not the difference in the price. Not saying I won't return haven't tried the food but in this area you definitely have to keep your head on a swivel. read more

Tacos were bogus asl. Back then, yes they were good but now it's straight a**. Tortillas were legit hard as hell when we got our "fresh food" the tacos you could have in one bite and it seems as if they sprinkle the meat legit had close to nothing there. Definitely do not recommend service was a 10/10 but the food was bogus save your time and money read more

In the past (pre-Covid 19 days) I would have written a favorable review, maybe a few. My wife and I enjoy(ed) the $1.00 tacos with just onion and cilantro. We also dug the taco-rice-beans $5.00 special. That was up until a couple of days ago. Those little "street" tacos jumped in price to $2.50 each. I can see a bit of a price hike, but 150%? I may be white but I'm not stupid. Back into the car and I was gone like a cool breeze. I hope all that new brick work was worth losing customers. How loyal are your customers? read more

Joliet Supermercado Taco Truck As a kid me and my family would always go buy groceries from the Joliet Supermercado and my mom would always buy us tacos after we would finish shopping because she knew we loved them and were so good. The Joliet Supermercado Taco Truck was very amazing and delicious. They always had someone selling cotton candy and that just always drew my attention and wanted me to go there more often. They provided some of the best service I have ever had around town and let's not forget about their amazing food. Their customer service is amazing even on rainy days. One day it was bright and sunny,so I decided to ask them all the ingredients and everything they add to their food and the lady behind the counter was more than welcome to explain to me all their ingredients just in case I was allergic to it. I always felt welcomed and the people working there were hispanic so we got along so well. This made me even more confident at shopping there because I knew everything that's in what I'm going to consume. Their tacos are very very good, the meat is very seasoned and very juicy. You can get them with everything which is onion, cilantro, and salsa, or you can get it on the side and add it to your choice. And also did i forget that these are only 2 dollars a taco like come for their price there perfect. They also have other amazing foods like Quesabirria, Burritos, Gorditas and many other amazing foods. I really recommend yall go and check them out to try some of the best foods in town. I really enjoy their food because it really reminds me of the food I would eat when I would go visit my family in mexico. Everytime i go to get food at the taco truck the smell of everything just smells so good and reminds me of my childhood. I would always as a kid be walking down the street to go buy tacos with my friends at the Joliet Supermercado Taco truck because they were just so good and were so cheap and you could get more for your money. Overall I've always had the best experience and customer service at the Joliet Supermercado Taco Truck, they have never failed me and have always kept me happy and satisfied with their amazing tacos. read more

There's more to this grocery store than the infamous taco truck that's parked in the back. Inside to the back left is where you'll find workers making tamales and gorditas and if you're not in a hurry, you can ask the short lady to make yours right on the spot, as to taking some that were already made sitting under a heating lamp. Takes about 5 minutes but its great to watch and the fact that there's a place in Joliet that does this is amazing! My only qualms were that they really don't have a set price for each gordita, which I think is $3.33 for 3 and the already ones sitting under a heating lamp had nothing written on the Styrofoam packages, indicating which gordita filling was in which. Service was good, most of the people there speak English, and they accept credit cards. I was expecting them to be above average but they turned out to be nothing special, tortilla and filling were dry and had little flavor but that won't deter me from going back. Watch out for the crazy guy that's selling stuff near the entrance. read more

If you are looking for good quality cheap tacos this is the place to be. My favorite taco place in Joliet hands down. They have seasonal birria quesadillas with birria caldo and if you've never had them from here i highly recommend it. They are so good. The cheese is everything you want in a quesadilla. There's the right stretch in the cheese. The tortillas are perfectly crispy. The birria is juicy and tender. The broth is hot and flavorful. You can get two big Birrieria quesadillas with soda and caldo on the side for $7. You can't beat that. It's cooked to order for the perfect experience. 10/10 highly recommend read more
