There's often a moment of uncertainty until the meeting occurs and a quote is provided. Additionally, selecting the right colors can be challenging; wondering whether the chosen shade will match the sample or online representation can be frustrating. From our very first conversation, Joey put me at ease. He is genuinely kind and professional. He informed me that he would follow up within a few days with a quote, which he did, and it met my expectations. The cost was under what I had anticipated, so I responded, and he called to schedule a start date. The project was scheduled for a few weeks out, not months. My initial anxiety stemmed from this being my first time painting a house, and I was concerned about making the right choices, including the colors. Joey was very patient, answering all my questions thoroughly and offering guidance, regardless of the time I reached out to him. On the day they began power washing the house, everything went smoothly. Joey got my final decisions on colors (making one color change recommendation) and went to buy paint to start the next day. I am SO happy he changed the color of the trim because I would have hated the color I picked... Love the one he picked; it's perfect! They provided a clear plan for the upcoming work each day before leaving. The team included a very attentive young man who meticulously taped and prepped the house--everything was thoroughly covered. During the painting process, Joey regularly inspected the work and pointed out areas that needed touch-ups, which I might not have noticed myself. The attention to detail was impressive, especially when they used very fine brushes, I couldn't see it, but he did. Then the trim. Meticulous! At one point, they were using a paintbrush so fine that it seemed more suited for a canvas. I am extremely happy with the workmanship of Joey Lanza and his Team. I would recommend this company to anyone. Six Stars!! Thanks Again Guys!

I wanted a fresh new color scheme to match my modern-style pool--those old brown, gloomy colors just weren't cutting it anymore. So, off to Yelp I went! After getting several quotes, what stood out most about Wilfredo from Coastside Painting Inc. was his honesty. He took the time to explain different paint options and gave his professional opinion on which would be best for durability. When I compared quotes, he actually beat everyone else using the same type of paint--so I felt confident upgrading to the higher-quality paint he recommended. Even with the upgrade, his price stayed competitive with other quotes I'd received for the cheaper paint. That level of transparency and value is rare, and I truly appreciated it. Wilfredo was on-site every day, always with a smile, even in the blistering Southern California heat. His attention to detail is unmatched--the crisp lines, clean finish, and the way he addressed any concerns I had with patience and professionalism. If I pointed something out, he'd reassure me it was on his list for final touch-ups, which he saves for the last days to ensure everything looks perfect. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the result. You can tell Wilfredo takes pride in his work and his reputation--something I can't say for many other paint jobs I've seen around the neighborhood. Choosing Coastside Painting was absolutely the right decision, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, skilled, and detail-oriented painter!

I…read morecould tell during the estimate that Wilfredo is very detail oriented and would be the best choice. He and his assistant painted my home exterior, as well as the master bedroom. The exterior was previously done in very dark colors, and painting it much lighter transformed our home beautifully. It was a pleasure working with them. Wilfredo is a hard worker and most importantly - *meticulous* attention to detail. I've had several painters over the years, and no one preps as thoroughly as this guy. It makes a big difference, especially with a larger job like this one, not to have to worry about any overspray or drips. He also uses the high quality formula paint, and premium oil base for our doors. I was impressed with the good coverage the almost white color had over the dark paint, due to his thoroughness, and the garage and front door turned out beautifully. There were some details that caused extra work, like small repairs and having to paint around the rain gutters to paint the top strip of fascia that barely showed. These things really made a difference. He's also very tidy; each day he completely cleaned up his equipment, and at the end returned everything around the house to where it previously was. This included raking all the mulch back into place so I didn't have to! Wilfredo and his assistant are diligent, hard workers, along with being friendly and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Coastside Painting again (and again), and highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, the owner continues his online crusade to discredit me and I'm backed into a corner to prove the legitimacy of my concerns. I've added a video showing yellowing throughout the house. This is not a moisture issue. When the work was finished caulking was not yellowed, but I found several areas throughout the house that were not caulked at all. I was also was unhappy with the gap between boards and the floor. The owner is correct when he says I signed a contract indicating that this would not be done. I was guided into this and later found out that it is not always standard practice. Nonetheless, I signed this contract and feel that it would be unfair for me to grade based upon this problem alone, hence the updated increase to my rating. When painting was finished I did voice my discontent with the way things turned out. The owner became defensive about his work. His strategy was to deflect these concerns as a me problem, rather than a workmanship problem. I can remember feeling pressured at the end of the job to agree that things were satisfactory and reluctantly paid. There was no call back to fix the yellowing because his arrogance turned me off. I did not want him back in my house. I've lived in the house for years, looking at my unsightly baseboards. Every time I walk through my hallways I'm reminded of how frustrated I am that I paid good money for this. I do not like publicly shaming a company, but in this case it's necessary. After years I finally posted a review. The bottom line is that the job is substandard. I have to have things repainted at my own expense and I'm very disappointed about it.

All in, including pressure washing day, our house was completed in 5 days. What a difference! We had seen other neighbors' exterior paint jobs take weeks! Juan worked side by side with his team and really knows what he is doing. Many times I would pop outside to find Juan up on a ladder working hard. They carefully wrapped all our porch lights, A/C equipment, windows and doors. They put plastic down everywhere to avoid overspray.
