    Staff is so welcoming and rooms are squeaky clean! I'm from out of town and wanted to get a tan in before my flight - Happy I did!

    SPRING BREAK TANNING SALON, 390 Metacom Ave. BRISTOL, Rhode Island. 02809…read more Rude, Disrespectful and Extremely OVERPRICED. I received a "gift card" for Spring Break Tanning prior to Covid. Today (3/23/22) I was met by the Owner who was snippy & rude using mostly one word answers from the moment I walked in the door. There was a women in the waiting area when I explained to the owner that I'd received a gift card for 10 tanning sessions from my sister for Christmas. I was completely forthcoming stating that I'd received the gift card prior to covid but hadn't felt comfortable tanning until now. The Owner took the printed PAPER card (which wasn't plastic, but was printed on card paper with a matching envelope) looked at it, and said she'd "owned the place since 2006 and never used that as a gift card". She then grabbed a shoe box type thing with plastic gift cards from under the desk and said "Why would I use that if I have these?" (Shoving them towards me on the counter). I took a deep breath and explained that I'd received it from my sister for Christmas and asked if she could look up my sisters account to see if the purchase showed up her account. (Note: the menu board inside the business listed 10 sessions as $120!!!!! NOT a cheap gift.). At this point the woman clicked about 2 buttons on the computer and said "Nope, nothing there". She then stated "Are you getting an attitude with me?". To be honest I was completely surprised with her disgraceful attitude seeing I'd gone in knowing that it was an older gift card and had been thinking about buying a few sessions (if necessary) to get my tan going for an upcoming vacation. However, this owner clearly wasn't up for a business discussion. She then told me that she'd bought the business from a friend who'd owned it since 2009 and that she'd bought it from her in 2017 and had never used this type of gift card. Sooooo, is the insinuation that my sister lied or that I was lying? And what happened to having owned the business since 2006 which she'd said previously?. She then stated dismissively, "I can't put this in a computer, can I, so there's nothing I can do with it". Oh I left, but not before smiling and telling her I'd be writing negative reviews of her business on any and all platforms I could find. Well, I hope it was worth it! A few things you should know: I was really looking forward to tan as a precursor to my upcoming VACATION! The OWNER chose to get verbally aggressive with ME (over a gift card???), and raised her voice while accusing ME of having an attitude. I can only assume that the owner has no interest in attracting new customers, because if she was, why would she be so rude (completely without provocation) and accuse a CUSTOMER (or potential customer), of having an attitude? At one point she even picked up her phone telling me to "Call your sister".... Ummm.. NO.... I'm not bothering my sister (who is on vacation already) when the reason I was there was to give YOU business (which incidentally will NEVER happen now!) I noticed the "menu" of services listed 10 sessions for $120. WHAT? After going to another Tanning business, I PAID (yup signed up and all) $46 for 10 sessions. Huh... I guess being offensive means you have to charge outrageous fees just to make a profit! I wasn't alone!!!! Remember the woman I mentioned earlier that was sitting in the waiting area? Well SHE heard the whole exchange and rolled her eyes at ME !!! It's really hard to adequately convey (in writing), just how verbally aggressive and offensive this interaction was. I could go on and on about it, but instead I share my experience with SPRING BREAK TANNING in Bristol, RI to HIGHLY discourage friends, family, fellow RWU Alumni and any and all potential customers from patronizing SPRING BREAK TANNING (unless of course you like to be treated disrespectfully).

Almost everyone I know at RWU that tans goes to this place. So when summer started winding down and I needed to get rid of my tan lines for work I decided to stop in here. You walk into this place and the first impression you get is clean, friendly, happy vibes. There is always someone there to greet you! The owner Lisa is almost always there. She is very hands on with her business and is extremely knowledgeable about tanning. I told her what I was looking to do (get rid of my tan lines) she made a recommendation. I've been 3 times since then and my tan lines are fading more and more. I've met one of the other girls that works there and she like Lisa really knew her stuff. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! If you are looking for a great tan and fantastic customer this is the place to be!
