In my possession on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, was a very important birthday package that needed to be sent ASAP, but not so ASAP that I had to pull a loan... Lol. The employee who assisted me was welcoming & efficient. She didn't try to persuade me to purchase an unnecessary, more expensive method of shipping. There was ample parking at this middling site. It's a bit lackluster on the outside & inside, but it gets the job done. My package recipient was opening their birthday gift by Friday so I'm a happy camper.

I popped into Master Cleaners back on October 16, 2026…read more The weather at that point was getting quite chilly, so I decided to take one of my daughter's wool sweaters that was given to her by her grandmother (sounds old and ugly but it's a very fashionable one - lol) to get it dry cleaned. I think I spoke with the owner that day. If I did, I greatly appreciate her insight and saving me money. I ended up getting the old makeup stains out of it on a gentle wash cycle and air drying it flat. She was very kind, honest, and courteous. I will be bringing my other garments that definitely need dry cleaning here in the future as they were much nicer than the folks just across the parking lot. Worst part is said annoying parking lot here! Located on the north side of Grimes in Hobbs, NM. Final note: If it was the owner, I want to express my condolences on the loss of her husband just a few days ago. TIP - drive-thru service available.

My hometown Habitat for Humanity makes me proud!…read more Yesterday--May 8, 2024-- I called their office to inquire about how furniture donations work. A receptionist referred me over to her coordinator. The coordinator explained that as long as the furniture pieces had no damage or stains that most likely the items would be accepted. Then she had me text her some photos. After giving me their blessing that they would accept them they gathered my address and pick up information as I was not able to bring them to the store. I am not sure what their mile radius is, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if they would be able to pick items up for you. If you're able to drop off items, this large building in Hobbs, New Mexico is easy to find next to Tractor Supply. Today--May 9, 2024--when the two guys who arrived on time (11AM) to pick up my sofa and loveseat donations, they were very cordial and mentioned that the set I was donating was very nice. I hope somebody will appreciate them as much as I did. Please donate or volunteer for Habitat: https://www.hobbshabitat.org/about-us

Their Thrifty Boutique is located on Turner Street five blocks from the police station. When another donation drop-off center had a sign on their door that they were no longer accepting donations for 2022, I decided to see if Sheri's was available. Prior to this day, I had never been there. The ladies who were working here on 12/9/2022 when I dropped off donations were welcoming and friendly. Most of the items are women's and children's clothes and shoes, but I saw jewelry, girls' hair bows, and a plethora of other items. From now on, I most likely will be bringing my items worth donating to Sheri's - especially after reading about Sheri and her mother's efforts to change law enforcement mindset about victims of domestic violence. Under no circumstances should anyone - female or male - be a victim of domestic abuse! Please help make others aware of this tragic nonsense by donating & encouraging others to donate to Sheri's.
