The post office in Lovington, NM, is a good option for send offs... In my possession on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, was a very important birthday package that needed to be sent ASAP, but not so ASAP that I had to pull a loan... Lol. The employee who assisted me was welcoming & efficient. She didn't try to persuade me to purchase an unnecessary, more expensive method of shipping. There was ample parking at this middling site. It's a bit lackluster on the outside & inside, but it gets the job done. My package recipient was opening their birthday gift by Friday so I'm a happy camper. read more

This post office has whatcha need to get things posted! There's an ample unpaved parking lot that has lots of room for nearly the entire town. Inside, the place is a bit dusty. They still have the newspaper article announcing that the post office was opening up- in the 1960's. Nobody ever got around to changing out that announcement. The clerk took his sweet time getting my stamps. Apparently, they don't have a lot of call for individual stamps, so he had to go find the vault to get the forty cent stamps. The place was pretty desolate. There's post office boxes you can rent, and probably won't run anyone when checking your mail. It's a pretty average post office. There was no automation here as far as I could tell- no stamp vending machines, no auto postal scales and meters. It's all still done by hand here in Lovington. read more
