Just like what the others said don't bring your car here and if you do make sure to inspect every single inch of your car, after my car was returned to me the overhead console was now loose appearing to be slightly unglued and you can shake it loose, now also theres condensation on my left front lamp and these issues are non existent when I brought my car in, totally unrelated to the collision repair that transpired. I also got a text asking about the checks since they were tracking payment. This bodyshop had possession of the checks the entire time I even sent a screenshot of the check my insurance sent me and an email from my insurance stating that they already sent a check as portion of payment which this bodyshop cannot use for anything else since it was addressed to my hubby. I used this Bodyshop years ago and had no issues sadly it has deteriorated. Will never ever use them again. read more

Great customer service, very efficient and friendly. They did an amazing job on rims, painting my caliburs, and smoking out my rear lights. Will definitely come back. read more

Eloy & Delores was so awesome to work with with my truck collision. Since they are a certified with State Farm I have a piece of mind knowing I have the lifetime warranty. Eloy and team went far and beyond to make sure my truck was taken care of. Everything looks great. I even had them paint my roof and hood from oxidation as well as my wiper arms. Eloy even worked with me to get the drivers side running board to match & both rear bumper end caps (State Farm only replaced the damaged side), Looks like a brand new truck. All pricing out of pocket was fair and Eloy worked with me to make sure I was satisfied & happy before leaving. I recommend Eloy and his team for anything you need for your vehicle. Thanks Eloy & Delores. read more

Superior Paint & Auto Body - Fantastic Job!! - Body Shops Near Me - Modesto, California

FAR FROM SUPERIOR All I can say is terrible. You're better off finding someone off of Facebook marketplace to do the work. If you do plan to bring your car here for whatever reason, take a picture of every square inch of your car, inside and out or they will rip you off and claim the damage they did was already there before. They tried to hold my car hostage because they "misplaced" a "check" from my insurance. I had to go back and forth with this company and my insurance on tracking where the check was, and the check was in their possession the entire time. The "check" was sent as a wire transfer to their company so it was in their account within a few days before I had to pick up my car. To cover up their faults, I got a call back saying "don't worry about the remaining balance, you can pick up your car at your convenience". They lied, and tried to get more money out of me. After receiving the vehicle my husband noticed the driver side mirror wasn't working and I had a sensor on the dash stating " keyless access problem". Once I returned the vehicle the lady in the office and the tech Demetrious told me the mirror wasn't working and the sensor was on the dash was on when they received the vehicle. They pulled the vehicle to the back to "inspect the vehicle" They told me the harness was wrong and there was nothing they could do since they received it like that. Upon bringing it home, my husband pulled the door panel off, inspected the harness for the mirror and realized that the harness was not fully connected. He also found the antenna for keyless entry was also disconnected. Both issues I was told were like that prior to bringing the vehicle in. My husband called superior and spoke with the lady that helped me. She was extremely rude and unprofessional towards him. When he asked if they had actually taken the door panel off when the vehicle was brought back to the shop she admitted that they never looked at it since "it wasn't their mistake". My husband then told her that he had fixed the issue for them and upon doing so the lady on phone hung up mid conversation. Between the incompetent and low quality employees they have in the shop and the rude and unprofessional employees they have in the office, this body shop is far from superior. There's a reason they have more negative reviews than they do good. read more

I brought my car in after I incurred front-end damage to my vehicle. From beginning to end, Brandy took care of me and my concerns, helpimg to alleviate my anxiety about the whole process. Also, I received my vehicle back looking better than before the accident. I highly recommend Superior. read more

They did some very minor work to my car. The dealership sent them the job for warranty work repair . You would think they would do a really good job for the dealership. The color didn't even match and they scratched up a new car. They used a knife to remove a spoiler . Whoever removed the spoiler didn't know what they were doing. They drug the air line all over the black finish of the car. They did fix it and did a amazing job on the new color match. When I got my car back it still had tape on it and rubbing compound all over the car. There is still some light scratches and now buffer marks on the black paint. I don't think this is a very professional shop. The one star is for whoever matched the paint the second time. Every one else that touched my car should be fired. read more

I have to say that I had a great experience with Superior. Brandy was very professional and friendly. It's been years since I had to use an auto body shop. They called to keep me updated on progress. When I picked up my car it looked great, just like new. Also they detailed the inside of my vehicle. I was very impressed and happy with the results. read more

I do not recommend getting your car repaired here. They do not test parts or ensure your safety. The recycled parts do not fit properly. Eloy is the main person who you deal with and he just talks the talk. He lies to your face and just wants to submit claim after claim to the insurance. This place is a complete joke. read more

Took my truck for a paint repair, ended up being a bigger project! Paint did not match, over spray all over the truck, did not cover side steps, said ins. did not approve the removal so they just left it on and did not clean the white compound and drips of primer or what ever they used, had drips of clear on the other door, scratched the side of the bed said there was national shortage on a blackout sticker so they just painted up to the sticker and did not do that properly as well smh, damaged my grille and tail gate handle with their cleaning chemicals. DO NOT COME HERE!! read more

I'm giving it a 3 because the last time I took my car there they did a great job about 5plus years ago so I wanted to go back when I was rear ended!!! I went in for my estimate I was running late I called they person who answered said come on in .. When I arrived the guy behind the desk was so rude he told me to sit down!! It was all just down hill after that his attitude was horrible so I cancelled my car going there for repairs and had my insurance send it to another shop for repairs. I had a business for 19 years customers service matters!! read more

Another UPDATE So after everything manager Gabe took car to Honda and fixed my alarm system he told me he would take care of any cost himself. Today I get an email from my insurance company showing that the repairs were actually added to my claim. My window never got fixed. Gabe called me telling me it was going to cost 600 to replace generator of course I don't have 600.00 for that and he acted like he was covering cost and was not going to pay for that either. Meanwhile it could have just been added to my insurance claim like my alarm system was added?! So now I am out of a window that rolled up and down perfectly fine until I took to get repairs done on car. GREAT! Update to my review. Same day I posted my review with my frustration Gabe the manager called me multiple times Stressing the issue of me not being satisfied with what was going on with car he told me to come in ASAP they will either fix this issue or take it to Honda personally and get it fixed! So thanks again Gabe for making sure this issue gets taken care of. read more

Superior auto body and paint are very unprofessional. They focus on money and not what works for the client and if one of their representative does an estimate and another one happens to do another, the other estimate is not valid. Basically, their word is worthless Vinny there is very unprofessional. He works on emotions! I'm glad I did not take my vehicle there and I do not recommend them! Also, because Vinny was working w emotions he claimed he did not have any appointments to fix the car for almost 2 months out! That alone is reason not to go there! read more

Last year on December, 2021, I was traveling north bound on State Route 113, when all of the sudden, a large black bird collided with the right corner of my windshield and pillar, shattering the glass and putting a couple of small dents on the pillar, and also causing the plastic molding on the inside of the pillar to pop out of place. At the time, I was driving my 2021 Subaru WRX premium, which I had purchased new in August of that year. I contacted Modesto Subaru for the repairs and they referred me to Superior Paint & Auto Body. As you guys can see from my details of my accident, the repairs that needed to be performed on my car were minor repairs. Well, the quality of work that this Body Shop did to my car was below standards to say the least. Especially, on the installation of the new windshield. Whoever does their windshield repairs and installations, does not know what the f..k he is doing. I had to take my car back to them several times, because my windshield was improperly aligned, which caused both the top right and bottom right corners to stick out of weather striping and rubber molding on that side. And even after all of those times, they could still not get it done right. Therefore, after dealing with so many times of incompetent work from their windshield repair person, I gave up due to extreme frustration about this. In my opinion, if this place doesn't want to piss of any more customers with windshield repairs like me, they should fire that guy and get someone else. The only reason that I am giving this place one star, is because the guy that I dealt with there named (Ricky), did everything he could on his end to help me and take care of me. He is a good guy and is not at fault for any of this. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing for the rest of his team. I will not be going back there again, or would ever recommend this place to any of my family and friends, or anyone else for that matter. read more

Run as far away as you can from this pit! Wish I'd never taken my car here! Horrible work and horrible service!!!

If you have been fortunate enough to have avoided the auto body repair circus that ensues after an accident, then listen up. It is the insurance claims department that is NOT on your side. The auto body folks ARE on your side. Work with them and they will work with you. As for the insurance folks in claims, gotta work with them too, but your friend in the deal is definitely the body shop. Superior is honest but fair, and that is golden when your baby needs fixin. read more

No integrity in scheduling and does a shabby job. As dealership recommended went there . I wonder why they repainted on area of the car that was not damaged. Car had paint stains on the windshield. Worse experience!!!! read more

This place looks professional and they speak well. Unfortunately job was shabby. I wonder how they did not even put some clips back after repair. Minor scratch was left unfinished. I needed a quote for damage on my car. It was already a stressful situation. I had called and visited a couple other body shops. Other body shops I called were very rude and seemed like I was bothering them. From the first call to Superior , I was treated great. The ladies in the office were very nice. And then I was helped by Vinny. He was fast and courteous. He was very detailed in the quote, and then explaining it to me. I really appreciate the service I received there. I will recommend this shop to everyone. Thank you again!! read more

Had my new 2020 Kia Optima for just a couple months. While coming back from Idaho the hood was hit by a big rock while driving by a construction area. Took the car to Superior to have this blemish fixed. First thing I thought when I saw the repair job was, "Magic!" How did they make this ugly dent disappear. I had a metallic paint and they blended it perfectly. I was told the job would take 2 days, they did it on one day. Thanks to Eloy and his magicians whose work made my car new again. I highly recommend Superior if you need paint or body work! Also, they're nice people. read more

If you want a true experience of dissatisfaction, then this is the body shop for you. I dropped off my truck May 31st at Superior Auto body while being told it was a few week job and today August 9th, I dropped off my truck at a second shop to finish the job. The last week of July was the first time I was told my truck was complete. I went to look at it and there was sags, chunks, and scrapes in the paint. For example, as they're putting on my tailgate they must slid it on something and slid the edge of paint off. The wiring was not even similar to as dropped off with clips being broke on the plugs and it ran through holes without being covered. My damaged rim had not been located and my billet receiver insert was missing. I emailed the list to them after leaving and waited for a reply. Approximately a week later I received a reply that my truck was complete. I showed up and the paint was a lot better, but not a premium job. The wiring had been cut and spliced in areas that should be factory, wiring ran through holes without being covered that were covered before, camper shell not bolted down, new brake light was chipped, rim not located, and to my very dissatisfaction, the front end is popping and the reverse cameras and sensors are not functioning. Like I said in the beginning, if you want a true experience of dissatisfaction then this is the body shop for you. If you care about your vehicle and want it repaired correctly then you should take it to somebody who cares. At this time I wish yelp had a zero star rating as it is much needed for the professionalism of the shop. read more

Look somewhere else to have your car repaired, unless you don't mind taking it back to the shop several times for them to get it right. They said they lost money on the job. After getting sideswiped in a parking lot, took my car there for an estimate. They were very friendly and up front on costs and the amount of time it would take if there were no issues. The estimate was competitive and I felt comfortable having them do the work. When I called with questions, they were very nice and kept me informed. I picked up the car this evening and they did a wounderful job. Very clean and neat. Looks like new. It was on time and they did not go over the cost of the quote. I would not hesitate to use them again if the need arises. read more

My wife and I got into an accident earlier this year. The car, an EV bought 6 weeks earlier was not totaled but not drivable. We had to have it towed and delivered directly to a Body shop. I called 3 different places all claiming to be full. One of them, was Superior Paint. Feeling a bit stressed that I could not find an Auto Body shop left me with limited options on what to do next. Then While looking for more places, Superior Paint called me back. The shops manager, Eloy asked me questions about my vehicle and told me he can make a space for it but I would have to really work with him. He told me up front that parts for a brand new EV could take month's to deliver and that I was going to have to be patient. I really appreciated his reality check, brutal honesty though the thought of losing my car for 3-4 month's was heartbreaking. As it turned out, that is exactly what happened. Needed over 30 parts that trickled in very slowly over the course of 4 months. Eloy and Delores went out of their way to consistently check on part availability and sent me weekly e-mail updates on how many I still needed to complete the repair. I Could'nt have asked for better service. In the end, we got our car back as minty as we bought it and Eloy was there with me every step of the way. Kudos to Superior Paint on a job well done. read more

My mechanic recommended these guys. Took my car in, and it came back looking great-- washed, vacuumed, shiny and new. Best part-- I saw a ding I thought they'd "missed." I was wrong-- it was on the opposite side from the original accident-- but when I told them, the way they responded was exactly what you'd want. They didn't say "that's impossible" or "I guess you can show us what you're looking at but we did what we were supposed to do." They immediately said "show us. We want you to be satisfied." I showed them, they looked at the papers, and we straightened it out-- and they offered to buffer that ding out a little later in the day. I've been to places where the first reaction is denial without inspection. These guys do it the right way, and want their customers to be satisfied. So thanks, I'll be going there again, though hopefully not any time soon. read more

Just picked up one of our vehicles from Superior Paint & Auto Body after it was repaired from a hit and run collision. Eloy was great to work with. He gave me an estimate within 10 minutes of when I took the car there. The car was repaired in a reasonable time and looks great! No shortcuts were taken in repairing our vehicle. I have used Superior Paint and Auto Body three times in the past 20 years and our cars looked perfect when the job was done. The paint matches and the repaired fender/bumper fits nicely. I'm very happy with their service, and attention to details. I highly recommend Superior Paint and Auto Body for any collision or paint needs. This is one of the worst place to take your vehicle in. My BMW was dropped off to dealers and he took my Beamer without my permission to his shop and start the repairs and did a terrible job and charge me way more money in addition to that he lost my tow hook and when I told him he said he will get me another one but he had a choice to buy one from the dealer because I needed my vehicle go to a better shot because he's repairs or not acceptable because the vehicle is still not running so he took one week to go to a club because it was cheap that way rather than buying the one right and then. read more
