This was a random find. I was going to the Keto bakery a few doors down and saw this place. It's a big room with jerky placed here and there grouped by flavor. No samples, didn't see any prices, and no customer service. I took a chance and bought one of each. I am so glad I took the chance. I have never had jerky like this. It's crispy like a chip which I really loved. They're $12 a bag but have a 4 for $40 special. All the flavors were outstanding. My favorite was the seaweed one. It had a full strip of nori fused to the side. I was honestly sad when I ran out, it was that good. Unfortunately they have a high sugar count compared to other jerky which maybe contributes to the crunchiness. Because of the high sugar amount I probably would only buy this on rare occasion. They really need to up their customer service game. An employee sitting there on their phone ignoring the only customer in the store isn't a good first impression. I tried a few flavors and really liked the ingredients and overall quality of the jerky. You can tell it's not your typical overly processed store bought jerky. The Flamin was my favorite by far. It actually had good flavor and a nice kick without being too much. I'll definitely keep ordering that one. The Naked flavor was okay, but it didn't have much taste to me. The Sweet & Spicy was good too, but I think it could use a little more flavor. Overall though, really good jerky and I'm glad I found this company. read more

My husband needed a haircut because of my graduation and his go to barber was out. But we were leaving for my graduation the very next day, so he found this haircut spot by work and I happened to park right next door. I look up and I see, Superior jerky. My normal instinct, Yelp. So I yelped the place and saw how highly rated this place was and was intrigued with their jerky chips. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the gentleman who owns the place. He instantly apologized for the current stock as he was making the chips fresh currently. I told him it was totally okay, and I happened to be in the area because my husband was in dire of a haircut since we were leaving for Arizona the next morning. He showed me the types of jerky he offered and the different kinds. I ended up buying one of each that were available and I'm not mad at about it. The owner explained to me that he is a small business and the reason for the small quantity is because he makes the products fresh and wants to keep it fresh for his customers. My Yelp stars in my head are going up while talking to him and listening to how he cares about the products and his customers. Once I left, my husband also happened to be done with his hair cut. To his surprise, he asked me what did I buy?! But after opening one to try, we were both shocked on how big each piece was and the moment you bite into them...it was CRISSSSPPYYY!! Driving down from the 91 on the heart of traffic was not what everybody looks forward too, but munching on these jerky actually didn't make me think about the traffic that much. The next day we were sad that we only had a little left but I really wanted my aunt and grandma to try it. Let's just say.. after they tried it while driving to Arizona, we looked forward to going home and buying more! 2 weeks after coming home from my Arizona, my family and I said goodbye to my cousin who passed away unexpectedly. While our minds were elsewhere, I actually brought these bad boys out for my family to try. They loved it so much that one of my cousins and his girlfriend drove to Anaheim to pick more up. Located in a strip mall in Tustin, this place sells seemingly one thing and one thing only. And that's delicious beef jerky (actually, I think they have limited other snacks and bottles of their sauces for sale). Not sure if it was later in the day, but during my visit, it was really chill inside the space and its set up like a specialty retail store. The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The style or their jerky is something I don't think I ever had before. While I'm a fan of good beef jerky in general, usually, it's a little thicker and chewy. A lot of the time, it gets stuck in my teeth, which in turn necessitates some dental floss. Not these jerky treats! These are almost razor thin and have a crisp to them, not unlike a chip. I came in an purchased a bag of their 'Sweet & Spicy' flavor to enjoy while driving around and running errands. I devoured the entire bag within a relatively short period of time. These snacks are delicious and addictive. The meat seems lean so I would even put them in the healthy category. Not sure why I had them bookmarked to begin with, but glad I was in the area and it popped up on one of my collections. Definitely coming back and buying more bags when I'm back in the area. read more

So the store was nice and pretty big for the amount of product they had on the shelves but they don't offer samples. Agreeing with the other reviews their customer service was blah. That was enough to have me walk out. I don't mind paying for good product but I'm not interested in buying before I try especially with a niche food product. So I didn't buy anything and I went to a different jerky brand store about a mile away called CraqJerky. I'm glad I did. I tried all of their products and ended up walking out with their full line of jerky products. read more

I came to Superior Jerky 3 weeks ago while visiting family in the OC. I'm always in the lookout for "healthy" snacks for my drive to and from work, and lean jerky seems about perfect to me! I initially bought 12 bags from Nike on a Friday afternoon, and after having one back of the Naked jerky, I went back the next day and bought 16 more bags. I gave out half the bags i bought as gifts to friends and family that like jerky and they all agreed it was a very tasty and unique jerky. I tried a few bags of the chicken skins...not my favorite but still tasty. My favorite flavors are the sweet and spicy, peppered, 50/50, Naked, and spicy...in that order. I think 3oz is a good sized package. The packaging is well done and while I see it is resealable, I finish the bag at once anyway. I initially had a Luke warm reception from Nike when I first went to the store, like he seemed I was bothering him. He did answer my questions and told him if I liked the product I'd be back to by more. The next day when I returned he was much friendlier and even smiled when I came thru the door. I wish they had sampled to give out, because if they did I prob would have just bought 30 bags all at once instead of two trips. Product is awesome. A friend of mine brought me some Superior Jerky to try and they are SO good! These are not your regular beef jerky where it is chewy in texture. No, these are best described as beef chips. They are paper thin and very crispy. It's definitely worth trying if you've never had them before. I tried the Flaming Spicy as well as the Sweet and Spicy flavors and they were both really good. It's $12 a bag and I find it a bit pricey because you don't get a lot in one bag. Despite the price, I am a fan and will be returning to purchase some in the future! read more

I was craving some thin crispy jerky so i yelped and this place came up. My family and I went here and right away were greeted by friendly people. They made some nice recommendations and we decided to try the brisket candied flavor, sweet and spicy and sea weed, they all are really good and fresh, we especially enjoyed the brisket, probably bought too many, but we will be back and will recommend them to family and friends. I stumbled upon this place because I wanted to buy jerky as a Christmas gift for my dad. I was looking for a local jerky spot after trying Psych-ko's jerky from NorCal. If you haven't tried Psych-ko's, they have really crispy jerky and that was my first introduction to thin and crispy jerky. The place itself is a small hole in the wall shop. Very clean and modern looking tho. I believe they make all their jerky in house, which is super cool. We asked if they had any samples, and they were kind enough to let us try a bit of the most recent batch they just made. After trying that sample, we were hooked. I can't remember exactly what flavor we tried, but YUM. We ended up purchasing 4 different flavors. I believe they were cracked peppercorn, sweet and spicy, crispy seaweed, and 50fifty. The 50fifty is a bit more fatty and not as crispy, but still SO good. The other 3 flavors are the thin and crispy kind. If you've never tried super thin and crispy jerky before, I HIGHLY recommend checking out this spot. I'm trying to lower my cholesterol nowadays, but if I wasn't, I'd purchase more jerky from this place for sure hehe. And I'll probably be back to buy more jerky for my dad sometime! :) read more

I can eat a bag easily in one sitting. I was in the area going to the keto bakery a door down and saw jerky on the signage , so I got out the car again and went in. Very clean straight forward layout space. I picked up the Naked flavor to start. Service was chill. Took it home and dove in . The texture is not your typical jerky. I call it jerky chips. It's not the soft chewy type . I like how different it is. Super easy to kill a bag. I went back when I was in the area and got the flamming beef. Still tasty and great flavor and spice. I stopped by earlier today and bought two packs of jerky because of a recommendation from a friend in vegas. They're pretty good and I would say there reasonable for the prices. However I had a bad taste in my mouth when they didn't mention to me about buying four packs of jerky for $40 instead of purchasing each pack for $12. Initially I came in and only got two packs because there were no signs about four packs for $40, Later that day, I called and they said that I have to purchase all four of the jerkies and one transaction. The thing that doesn't make sense is that if I literally bought the same day maybe within 2 hours (12:25pm and called at 2:01p ), it doesn't make sense why they can't just void the transaction and purchase it all in one. As a business I would think they would want to sell more product, but I guess not. I would say before you come in, ask all your questions. I also noticed that there is no tax for online orders and you only responsible for a $5 shipping fee. So do your cost benefit analysis to see if the tax is cheaper or more than the shipping. I mean haggling over 8 bucks is not that much, but it's frustrating that they didn't explain to me why it isn't prossible. Hopefully they'll see this review so next time. Especially if there's someone who is coming back to buy additional product. If they really don't want to make an additional sale, fine by me. I can save on the money. read more

The guy in the front just said "IT IS WHAT IT IS." Hey I get it, all business wants to be sold out but what I can't stand is the attitude toward a walk in customer. Off the bat, I already had weird vibes cause he was literally just chit chatting & didn't even ask me if I needed help.
