We ultimately had another electrician evaluate the situation, and the experience was night and day. When someone is dealing with an electrical issue especially when their power is off they are already in an incredibly vulnerable and stressful position. He was attentive and gave me a quick assessment based on what he has seen in similar aged homes in my area. He had a good understanding of electrical codes, staying compliant with the laws/ordinances, and he helped me to better understand the home inspection report on the electrical issues for this house.
