Just a few weeks prior, I had purchased galbi from a Korean grocery store (Hannam Chain in Buena Park) and it was NOT GOOD. There was barely any marinade and the meat was thick/tough. I called Ace a few days prior to place the order. The lady explained the price and the quality of the meat they use. Galbi is $13.99 a pound here (Roughly 4 slabs per pound), and it was very much worth the price. The cost at local Korean grocery stores are about 10.99 or 11.99 a pound. I wasn't sure if we had ordered enough, so I purchased some extra galbi at H-Mart (11.99 a pound). My husband and FIL were grilling the meat and did a taste test on both meats. They both agreed that the meat from Ace was way better than H-Mart. The rest of the group ended up noticing a difference as well. The meat at Ace was very tender and flavored very well. Upon pick-up of the meat, the lady explained how she marinated the meat, and she really puts so much effort to make sure she gave us the best quality.
