I can't thank James at Superior Automotive enough! They took me in just before closing to help with a slow tire leak caused by a tiny metal wire. The hole was so small it was pretty much invisible, but James was so patient and used a few tricks to finally locate it and plug the leak. His willingness to help so close to closing time and his attention to detail is top notch. Best car shop I've been to by far--I'm sure I'll be back, given my driving luck! Like to wait days before getting a response? The owner rather post on his little Snapchat story and instagram rather reply to his clients, meanwhile you've already waited days for a response. What about texting them and then getting a reply "What vehicle is this" when you've already texted them many, many times previously, probably deleted my contact. Also blatantly ignoring a request to fix another area on the truck? You can see him completely ignore my request in the screenshot. Enjoy being hung up on mid conversation? Or what about waiting a month after a part was supposed to be delivered and it never showing up? And to add a cherry on top charge your customer $100 for a diagnosis fee when you didn't diagnose a damn thing, you didn't find a single new thing that was wrong with it that I didn't already tell you! This place is blacklisted for a reason. Do not come to this place for your repairs, a sorry excuse of a "mechanic". I noticed in other reviews he claims this place isn't blacklisted but the proof is in my screenshots. And that is the most up to date version, so don't be stupid and reply to me saying it isn't black listed, I'm calling you out on your BS. read more

Love how most of these reviews are from people who work for him, live at the shop or who have no idea how much he actually ripped them off for example the viper that was purchased for a much lesser price than what he told the customer. This dude gives the illusion that he's looking out for you by telling you "details" of things you should fix but he doesn't tell you he uses the cheapest options and methods for everything possible. I've been in that disgusting shop and every fluid he had behind the counter is a generic brand from Walmart. He doesn't provide any superior to your service. It took him 5 months to replace my clutch because he ordered the wrong parts, then told me he was overwhelmed, then admitted other customers offered to pay a higher hourly rate for their work being done and even when I offered to pay in full he declined and preferred to wait until the project was done to receive payment so it taking 5 months is outrageous and unprofessional. I didn't even have the car back 3 days before my tire almost flew off because he didn't make sure it was installed correctly. I was missing all but one lugnut and at first he told me that wasn't his fault or his problem, wanted me to pay for the tow and said he never touched that tire only for me to forward him a photo of the tire off while on his lift that HE sent me. Instead of taking ownership or even investigating, he instantly deflected the blame and told me someone must have had it out for me and sabotaged my tire. This guy charges high rates for his knowledge and experience but passes it off to random mechanics that he pays a much cheaper rate to so all of these exotic cars are not being worked on my him directly like he claims. I get my car back the second time and have barely 30 days before it breaks down again, conveniently a part that he had to remove to do my repair. He has me pay for it to be towed to the shop and then says he's on vacation and can't look at it for over a week, and gets a worker to send him photos of the part I tell him is broken. I decide to take it elsewhere and now he is threatening me with a mechanical lien for a "diagnostic fee" that he never informed me of and claims the two photos his worker sent is a diagnosis, yet it was never moved or diagnosed. The unethical and neglectful behavior is intolerable and it didn't start until he showed interest in me, told me he had herpes, and I declined interest so he started treating me like an unimportant client and behaving as a child. Absolutely do not trust this shady ass shop. You get less than what you pay for here with all of the cut corners, cheap attention to detail and high turnover rate of mechanics. Hope this review doesn't break my contract!!! I brought my operable truck here for a battery problem and got dragged into this. 1.Vehicle was there for 3 months with no repairs just disassembled engine. 2.$2,087 dollars later still no fix and had to take my vehicle off the lot. 3.Had a firearm pulled on me after I simply asked about why my vehicle is still there. 4.Hid from the cops once I called them due to the weapon as my family was in my second vehicle waiting. 5.Text messages saying he didn't pull out a firearm but later admitted he did. 6.Signed a contract that goes against my rights. (Very illegal) 7.Also got threatened to tell my chain of command as if I did something bad. 8.Got told over text that all parts were there and my new shop confirmed with pictures of all the parts and had to pay $333 for new parts that weren't in those pictures that is needed to make a engine run. 9.James later texted me and told me that the towing company that came to pick up my vehicle was owned by a rapist. ( Very unprofessional) 10.Was told later by text that I was being passively aggressive due to my hands being balled up in my pockets and because I was taller and bigger than him. 11.I personally made a review that he views as slandering and he proceeded to say he was going to sue me if I didn't take down the review and sent me a picture of the contract that everyone gets saying," I will not sue or slander the business " (I personally was dumb for signing it lol) On a good note I took my vehicle to Lowe's Automotive and they fixed my broken down engine in roughly 3 weeks. Absolutely the WORST experience at a mechanic shop that I have ever experienced. Had my vehicle for over a YEAR- and became very hostile and angry when questioned. Spent over $5,000 and a year without a vehicle- so finally had the vehicle towed somewhere else, and within 1 hour and less than $50.00- the vehicle runs like new. Disclosure: not speaking on the behalf of the Marine Corps, speaking of my own personal experience They had my car over a week and some change. And I still had to go to another shop to get it fixed. They charged me for unnecessary parts and items, I'm glad to know Marines are no longer allowed to go to a place where the owner makes has made threats to go to their commands over a post that's talks about the poor services/poor attitude at this establishment. These guys repairs my car in 4 days knowing I was on a time limit. Even though it's "blacklisted" highly reccomend to anyone in the Jacksonville area. Repaired my car for a cross country drive. Drove from superior to Arizona with no problems. They might have your car for a few days but it's worth it. 5 stars read more

I drove my van to this shop in November 2018. After 20 months and several thousands of dollars in parts and labor I'm having it towed to a capable professional. Yeah, I'm a sucker. So I don't normally take my vehicle to shops, but I was in a pinch and needed a little more help. I drive a 96 12 valve Cummins and was having some weird transmission issues. I took it to this shop and explained what was going on and paid for the diagnostic test they do. They called and wanted to do some wire work on the batteries and main ground of the vehicle, so I agreed and allowed them to do so. Came back to pick up my truck and they said they believed I needed a transmission rebuild which would cost roughly 2 grand. I opted out and wanted to do some more troubleshooting myself. Thank goodness I did. My issue turned out to be caused by a 20 dollar relay. Fixed my truck! The issue I had with this shop is that in the process of "fixing" the battery connections there was a total lack of attention to detail and the wiring was awful, they also left my power wire from my second battery hanging and arcing on my timing cover. Once confronted they seemed concerned that the wire which is a 00 gauge wire wiggled out. There was no room for it to be connected anywhere in the first place. Then wanted to charge me for the corrections of their mistake. read more
