They told him the upper and lower control arms needed replacing which was going to be a $2700 job. We wanted to get a second opinion so we went to c-side auto repair. They told us that the control arms were perfectly fine and the only thing that was wrong was the wheel bearings on the passenger side were bad. So instead of paying $2700 we paid $400. What's scary is that if we would've paid the money to get the control arms replaced my husband would still be driving on bad wheel bearings. It's unfortunate that Mavis would rather upcharge you for a job that doesn't even need to be done rather than worry about your safety and the safety of others on the road. Highly recommend c side auto repair!

I came in with a shaking/misfire issue and instead of just throwing random parts at it, they spent the time to properly diagnose the problem. Turned out to be a bad ignition coil on cylinder 2, and they got it fixed quickly and at a fair price. What stood out most was the honesty and professionalism. They recommended a carbon cleaning service for later on but made it clear there was no pressure at all. The owner even told me he'd rather spend extra time diagnosing the issue correctly than waste my money replacing unnecessary parts, which is hard to find nowadays. Truck is running smooth again and I definitely trust these guys. Highly recommend Rick's Repair Service if you want honest mechanics that actually care about doing the job right. Kudos to these technicians, they have definitely earned my business in the future!

I tried to find a cheaper part for my car but his prices were dead on to what I could have paid. The only downside was paying a diagnostic fee that wasn't added into the repair. I do have someone locally (Dunn, NC) that I use and he includes the fee into the service. Not sure how most other mechanics do their fees. Overall he finished the work within 2 hours and I was back on the road. He was polite and a pleasure to deal with. He didn't try to break our pockets either. I would definitely recommend him and his company to anyone.
