BEWARE!!!! Good ole Hans told me my Porsche 911, that I had driven to his shop to get a computer code resolved, had thrown an IMS bearing and I would need a brand new engine! Shocked at this news since I had driven the car to his shop with no apparent issue, I had the car towed to a N Ga Porsche specialist for a second opinion . The N Ga specialist called the next day stating he could find nothing wrong with my engine. I was both shocked and relieved to say the least. I had to pay $750 to have my block drilled out to replace the muffler bolts Hans had snapped off so the muffler system could be reinstalled. I drove the car straight to Autohaus to confront them with this diagnosis. When I pulled in the "mechanic" that had shown me a shredded bearing previously that was supposedly from my engine, approached me and loudly exclaimed "you got it rebuilt already??" I'll spare you the expletives that followed. Hans...what a great guy. read more

My 928 needed a timing chain setup and service, oil and filters change, complete tune up and some other repairs that Hans found after checking my car and giving me an estimate. Hans called me and invited to the garage to see the type of work needed for my car. Reviewed parts, components, and what he and his team were working on the car. Picked up my 928 and what a change. If you have an Audi/VW/Porsche (or any combination thereof) that's out of warranty, I highly recommend that you write a nice 'Dear John/Jane' letter to your dealership and make tracks to Superios Autohaus. Hans K, the owner and chief mechanic, has been taking care of my Audi since 2004. Now with 175k miles on it, the car still looks and drives like new. He's definitely more expensive than your corner Jiffy-lube but the last time I checked Jiffy lube didn't have any Audi and Porsche certified techs who trained and received their certification in Germany. That said, I will gaurantee that his prices are a LOT cheaper than your local stealer's. If you're an auto enthusiast and want to race/track-prep your car they can help as well. Put on some kind of aftermarket or Porsche rejected upper control arms that lasted 10K miles and one year. Parts had serial numbers grind off. That didn't fix the entire front end anyway as the lower control arms were bad too. Ended up taking it to the dealer to have it done right. :/ read more

Never completes the job 100%, there's always a difference in billing, and never follows through with what he promises. I sent an email to Hans to request a quote and appointment to replace the bushing for my lower control arm on my 2012 VW Jetta. He requested the VIN which I provided and then the quote I received from the dealer. I wanted him to provide his quote before providing dealer information. He refused initially and finally relented by giving me a price and then telling me to take my business elsewhere. He was incredibly rude throughout the entire interaction and in hindsight I am glad that he showed his true colors before I wasted my time with an appointment. Han's is a pretenious jerk. Called them (Superior Autohaus) a second time because Han's wouldn't return my email. I was transferred over to him and the conversation went like this. "This is Han's". (Me) Hi Han's, I was wondering if you could give me a little info on the APR tune. I have an Audi A6 2012 and am very interested in getting it tune. (Han's) "I'm too busy...email me". That was it. I hung up and am now going over to Autobahn Performance. I'm sure $2500 isn't anything to them but I'm not about to give my hard earned money to a guy that won't spend 3 minutes on the phone with a new customer. Especially since he didn't returned my email (gave him 4 days). Piss poor customer service...what some people call "straight forward" I call rude and bad business. I took my 2015 S5 here to get the front brakes replaced. Sensors were going off indicating it was time for that. I went by there in advance to ask about pricing, and as expected, it was dramatically less expensive than the dealer. A couple hours after dropping my car off, Hans called to let me know my rear brakes were in need of replacement, too. Not something you want to hear, but he explained that the rear brakes were much less expensive, and that he'd also give me a discount on the front brake replacements due to the additional cost of the rear brakes. I went back by the shop, and the mechanic ("Mike," I think?) showed me the brake pads, and what a new one looked like, as opposed to the state of my rear ones. It was pretty clear the rear needed replacing, too, and that they were really looking out for me. Finally, he provided a loaner car since the additional work was going to take additional time, which allowed me to get on with my business day. Glad I found Hans and Superior Autohaus! read more

I have been a customer of Superior Autohaus for approximately 10 years. During this time I have owned four Porsches which have all been serviced at Superior Autohaus. The technicians are always attentive to any concerns I may have with my vehicles and make me feel like my business is priority number one to them. I was looking for a good mechanic to take care of my new to me 2005 911s and after researching my options in the Roswell area I called Superior Autohaus for a quote on some specific work I needed done. Hans quoted me and then called me back a few minutes later and offered a reduced price as he "wasn't very busy that day". I took him up on his offer and received very good service from his shop on that work and other work he performed over the next two or so years...water pump, clutch etc. I then had a persistent check engine light issue that needed to be resolved and I asked Hans to check into it and also change my oil while he had the car. The next day I received a call from Hans telling me he had bad news...he had found metal in my oil filter. He said it most likely was the result of a failed IMS bearing, which in early 997 Porsche's is catastrophic and the end of your motor. In shock I went to his shop to see what they had found firsthand. A mechanic named Jason, who I had never met, had worked on the car. He took me into the bay where my car was up on the lift and showed me a large piece of ferrous metal (mangled bearing) that was in a magnetized dish on the work bench. He said he took this out of my oil filter. I asked if that was a bearing and he confirmed it was. About this time Hans appeared in the shop and after talking about the situation for a few minutes he presented me with an invoice from Hennesey Porsche for $18k for a "re-manufactured" Porsche short block engine. With the addition of the necessary machining of my cylinder heads and installation I was looking at close to $30K!. I told Hans I would have to "get my head around this" and get back to him. I asked to see the mangled bearing again and Jason searched the workbench and "couldn't find it"...said the nearby floor fan might have blown it somewhere! ??? I went home and spent the rest of the day researching my available options. In the process I contacted one of the top Porsche engine builders in the U.S. who just conveniently happens to be located in North GA. and descrbed my situation. Neither of us could understand how the engine ran fine when I dropped it off if my IMS bearings failed unless it just happpened to fail precisely when I turned off the ignition at Superior...what are the odds of that happening. He convinced me to flat bed the car to him for a second opinion. Hans was not happy about my getting a second opinion...I was questioning his expertise. If you'll notice in some of his customer reviews he doesn't want you to take your car to anyone else but him or he won't work on it again....hmmmm wonder why? I received a call from my second opinion guy the next day saying he could find no metal pieces in the engine. He informed me that whoever worked on my car (I hadn't shared the name Superior Autohaus with him at this point) had snapped ALL the muffler studs off at the block! Also they couldn't understand why anyone would take the muffler system off to investigate this scenario in the first place! They had basically vandalized the car. My second opinion guy said he wanted to re-drill the muffler studs ($750), put the mufflers on, fill the car with fresh oil and drive it to see what he could determine. I agreed. A day later I received another call from my second opinion guy...he had driven the car and done another oil change but could find no "metal in the engine". I paid the bill, retrieved the car and drove straight to Superior. I pulled up in front of the bays and was enthusiastically greeted by my friendly mechanic Jason who raised his arms in the air and exclaimed "you got your engine rebuilt already?" About then Hans came out of his office and I told him what my second opinion had resulted in. He got very defensive as did Jason who swore the mangled bearing he had shown me came out of my engine. I asked them why they sheared off my muffler studs and Hans said they were rusted and wouldn't come off. My second opinion guy completely blew up the reason Hans gave for taking the muffler system off in the first place. Porsche Master Technician huh? WOW. If that wasn't enough, Hans then had the nerve to offer me a $750 credit on "future work" he would do on the car to offset the cost of having my muffler studs redrilled! UnbelieveabIe. I told them both what I thought of them and their tactics and drove off. And no I never did go back to take advantage of my "credit". read more

I'm way overdue in writing a review on Superior Autohaus. I first met the owner, Hans, about 12 years ago when he saw me drive up to an ice cream store in my 2001 Audi S4. He approached me and said that he specialized in Audi's and Porsches and handed me his card. He had a strong German-sounding accent, but hey, it's an Audi, so I thought that should be a plus! LOL! As soon as I was off warranty I gave him a try. Such began the saga of the last 12 years of his servicing my baby. :) He was so competent, thorough, fair and reasonably priced it never occurred to me to go elsewhere. I have seen him become frustrated with difficult customers (I have often waited on my simpler services to be done, so have been around the shop) but he has always treated me like a prince. At one point I had scheduled needed service, but was quite sick at the time. He came with one of his technicians and picked up my car, worked on it, and returned it without my ever leaving my house. Now THAT is service! Fast forward to today: Finally decided to go for a new car. I looked at other brands, including Lexus and BMW, but quite honestly, I had to factor in losing Hans if I did so! I ended up buying another Audi (an S3, the size of my original S4 that I loved so) and lo and behold, after the Audi dealer offered me so little on my trade in, Hans offered, and I accepted, to let him buy my baby for a much better and more reasonable price. Doesn't get any better! I would highly recommend you give Hans and Superior Autohaus a try. If you do, you should expect: Higher quality work at a better price with no padding for unnecessary services. What you shouldn't expect: fancy coffee machines, sumptuous waiting rooms or kid-gloven treatment like at the dealers. Lastly, you can expect peace of mind. :) read more

It's the same here as I stated on Google . . . The problem with online reviews in general is an overwhelming lack of pure facts. Typically you read a lot of one-sided stories grounded in a distorted perception of ridiculous self-entitlement, which lead to nothing but misinformation and gross misrepresentations. The facts . . . 1. Hans Krajc is a master Audi and Porsche mechanic who was trained in Germany, and grew up in a car culture where these cars are the center point. Of course, that also includes VW and more recently Lamborghini. 2. The team at Superior Autohaus acts as a competence center and are experts on the products they represent and deal with on a daily basis. 3. They are extremely accommodating. 4. Their pricing is more than fair for the time, effort, quality, and detail put into a visit irrespective of the type of work being done. Communication is also excellent as is the transfer of knowledge - if you are interested in learning more about your car that is. 5. The automotive industry and the related service industries are not consumer goods, despite what some reviewers have alluded to and want them to be. Some background and opinion . . . I love cars and have since I was a kid. I've owned and/or had wheel-time on just about every brand (in the U.S.) that you can think of and I can wrench, although I'm certainly not the best. However, when it comes to the aforementioned brands - Hans is the best. As long as I have my B8 S4 it will be serviced (most recent service was 11/07/2015) and upgraded at Superior Autohaus, period. If I end up buying a 987.2 or a 2008 VW R32 then the same applies. There is a lot to be said for consistency and continuity when it comes to properly maintaining a car over time. It also seems that negative reviewers don't understand business very well either. For one, if your vehicle was improperly maintained or received inadequate service prior then that becomes a liability for Hans and his team, so his right to refusal is a sound business practice. I'm sure you don't like continuously fixing mistakes made by others either. Secondly, unless you have successfully completed a business transaction then you are not a client or a customer. You are just a prospect at that point and that is no reason to negatively rate a company. I am extremely happy to be a client of Superior Autohaus and I know you will be too. Just tune out the noise, be straightforward, and make your appointment, and the get the job done right each and every time.
