I called and spoke to the owner and explained my disappointment. They came back out reviewed what was done and agreed with me the work was bad. They had used an outside contractor who did not meet their standards. They tore it all out and redid the whole driveway. I am very happy that they stood by their promise of quality work. I had received a personal recommendation to use them. They are a company of integrity and good work. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to the delay in having the job done. After promising to redo it there were many delays.

The nice website and ValuPak advertising are all nice impressions, but those things don't get the work accomplished. Empty promises for timelines and not answering phone calls is his specialty after he receives the order. The business and cell phone numbers have full mailboxes and there is no reply to emails either. We did receive a huge pile of gravel, but it's been sitting in our driveway for over two weeks so we'll need to take care of that too. We try our best to give business to local companies, but this is one to stay away from.

He forgets stuff in his own bid and promises he makes to try and fix problems he creates and when confronted with his own bids and his own texts and emails he becomes combative and says that he never said those things or at least didn't mean what he said and then proceeds to ask for more money. His mail coupons and ads seem professional but are all a ploy to get you to give him your money so he can do a sub par job. Do not use this company!!!

His work included a generous warranty that covers not only things like cracking and shifting but also if the tree roots lift up the new panels again. As soon as we signed our contract, he and his crew were out almost immediately for demolition over the weekend and poured the new panels just a few days later before sealing everything post-cure. The final price we paid was very reasonable (almost 30% less than other bids!), particularly considering this project included the extra work of removing tree roots buried under the panels. They worked out issues with the slope of my driveway, rebuilt a clay soft spot, removed roots, and put off picking up the hot mix until everything was perfect with the gravel base.
