They have been out to our home 2 times both times were great they fixed our unit and we're great thank you

This is now the second time AHS has sent this shitty company to my house. The first time they had to end up sending out another company to start over and here we are again in the same situation! They've came out 3 times can't do shit right only managed to make things worse so now another company has to come out and start completely over. If AHS assigns them to you call and complain until they send another company! I promise this company will be your biggest regret just look at all the bad reviews. read more

Awful, scam-like business. They appear to work with home warranty companies to help justify denying legitimate claims. They were extremely unresponsive, disorganized, and difficult to communicate with. Whenever I contacted them, I either received no response or inconsistent information. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this company. read more

Record, document and video the technician, especially at this company ( caught them in a lie from ring cameras in the past repair 2 yrs ago and forgot this was the company or I would not have let them into the house) the moment they walk in and while they are diagnosing your appliance. Company, referred by American Home Shield, Technician, came into my house to look at a refrigerator it stopped making ice in the freezer. The freezer was still cold but not below the temperature to make ice and the fridgerator was at 40 degrees so it was probably a condenser or a fan that was probably the problem. Superior Appliance Tech started looking around at the freezer and while my wife and daughters left the room to let him do his work the technician took the ice maker out and took out a couple panels and came back to my wife with a photo and said to her that he didn't know who would have cut the wires but there were wires cut on the fan and that the service would be denied by AHS. My wife said no one is here to cut the wires and that the ice maker was working last week. He said he didn't know and that he was going to let AHS know that it was tampered with. The guy also told my wife that the fridge we had has propane and that sparks from the wires could cause the fridge to explode. He said that in front of my wife and two daughters. My wife asked him if he unplugged the refrigerator and he said that was not his job and he left our house. Job has me working out the state so I looked at the ring camera in the room and it shows the Technician going into the freezer area with wire cutters. Why do you need wire cutters if you are just trying to diagnose what's wrong. Then I thought, this guy made $125 for 10 minutes, he doesn't have to repair anything and he's now making $700 and hour for doing nothing. Stay away from this company and if AHS continues to use companies like this stay away from them as well. I'm still fighting with AHS to get my refrigerator fixed. 3 months and counting. read more

Terrible service. They were contracted with my home warranty and it was nothing but problems. They Didn't fix any of the issues, terrible communication and impossible to get a hold of. Parts were on back order and they did absolutely nothing to get the dishwasher or oven replaced basically order back order parts with no eta and then just stopped responding or answers calls from myself or the home warranty company. Both my dishwasher and double over were left unfixed and I ended up purchasing new ones after months of waiting. read more

This review was originally written a few years ago. Unfortunately I just realized it was never posted when I signed into Yelp to post about my second experience with this company. I don't know why it didn't post originally but Here it is: (and my second review for my second debacle experience will be added after. All the reviews are accurate, except the likely fake good ones. I was assigned this company with my home warranty service a few years ago. At that time they were called something different and have since changed their name. Probably because of the bad reviews they received back then. But they came to my house for a service repair on a washer. They reported to the warranty repair company That the problem was due to poor owner maintenance and abuse. The washer was only three years old and to my knowledge there isn't much maintenance to perform and as far as abuse, I don't even know what to say to that. They just simply didn't want to do the repair or lacked the knowledge to do so Luckily, my warranty service assigned a new contractor and they repaired it in less than an hour with no issues. This company has no interest in fixing your appliance. They only want to get the service fee from your warranty service and move on. I don't understand why they are still in business because they are still doing the same thing as they were before based on the reviews that I have read. Find a different company! I have another issue with a different washer and my warranty company assigned me to this company again, but I refuse to have them in my house and asked to have a new company assigned. If you have a reputable home warranty service, they will do the same. I recommend you request a different company or if you are just paying out-of-pocket, I would definitely go with a different company because this one will put you through the ringer. oh, and one last thing. The owner is rude, moody, and very unprofessional. read more

These people are the worst. They never answer their phone, return voicemails, follow up on what they say they are going to do. Avoid at all costs!! You will regret it they have a 1.2 star rating and don't put their physical address anywhere public for a reason!! I've been waiting over a month for a simple repair for my LG Fridge and they are completely incompetent. A complete joke read more

I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The home warranty I have sent the order to this company. A few months ago, a technician came out to fix my dryer. I had previously informed the service department that it is a Bosch and that I needed someone who knows how to work on this brand. The technician fixed the dryer, but he did not properly adjust the door after taking it off. I decided to let it go and figured I would deal with it later. The heating element went out again, and the same technician came out. After he finished fixing the dryer, he was loading tools into his car. I went inside to quickly inspect the dryer to make sure everything was in order. That's when I noticed a 1/4" gap on one side of the dryer and a 1/8" gap on the other side. I immediately told him that the dryer was not put back together correctly. He was rude and said, "I tried three times already." I insisted that it needed to be corrected, and he replied, "I am not willing to try!" He then got in his car and left. When I went to take pictures of the dryer, I found screws on the floor and a part of the dryer in the trash! The front panel also had pry marks on it. I immediately called the company but could only leave a message. My message was, "Your technician just left my house, and please have the manager call me." That was three days ago, and despite calling every day since, I still have not received a call back. I have reported this to the home warranty company. I am hoping for a true professional to put the dryer back to normal, and it certainly won't be them. read more

Terrible service, terrible quality, not really a repair place at All! My home warranty contracted this "repair man". My refrigerator was working with the fan sound being a little extra loud. They came over and worked on the refrigerator which stopped working once they touched it. My property is an Airbnb and my very next guest. Let me know the refrigerator has stopped working. This company had said they were ordering apart, which took a week and a half to receive. Once it was received, they came to look at it again and said oops. We ordered the wrong part. It will be at least another week. I had to buy a new refrigerator because they broke my refrigerator And could not repair it and I could not reach them by phone. I can't believe they actually charge money for this. They're worse than doing nothing at all. read more

Advice: avoid them. Our refrigerator fan was making noise but still worked fine. We have a home warranty which dispatched this repair company. They didn't show up when they said they would. Later when they did show up they said to unplug refrigerator for 48 hours before they would work on it. Doing that ruined the refrigerator. It would no longer get cold. We had to hire a different company to come out and spend three hours fixing the coolant leak they caused. read more

I have to say, this place is a scam. My warranty company sent them out to look at broken piece on my washer and there report made it that the company wouldn't cover the repair. The worse part is that they spent maybe 15 minutes at my home. I called this company directly regarding the repair and they quoted me $600 +. I called my warranty company for a second opinion, a new company came out, actually looked and inspected the washer, found that there was just a need for a $25 part, came back and fixed our issue. O, there report showed that it should be covered. Today they came back and fixed my washer and showed what true service is. I have called my warranty company and told them to never send this company to my home ever again if anything ever goes wrong with my appliances. If I could I would rate this place a negative star. read more

I wish there was a way to rate this outfit Zero Stars. They admitted the washing machine was faulty but told the home warranty company it was fine. If you see this company being assigned to your home warranty claim you're screwed. read more

I didn't want to give 1 star, but here it is. We went thru American Home Shield and requested service for our dishwasher. It took almost a week for Superior to call us for a service call. Young man shows up on time, came inside for 2 minutes, took a picture of the model number, and said he had to order a part then left. Never said when he would be back and how long the part would take to get here. We had to call American Shield with a complaint only to find out that we were denied. Superior had told American Shield that we had hard water, and American Shield denied our claim. I didn't see the clause that they do not cover hard water. How did this young man now if it was environmental or mechanical if he did not open our machine. Something crooked for sure! We told American Shield to prove that is was environmental. So upset with the both of them. We were informed that next time look at the company before accepting them to do the job. We can deny these people to work on your appliances. We will see how this ends. American asked if this company can come back to prove hard water blockage. If Superior told us that they had to order a part, it's mechanical, right! But again, he spent only 2 minutes in our house. Must be psychic. read more

My home warranty sent a service tech out to repair washing machine. After a short inspection he told us it was beyond repair. We called home warranty again. DO NOT LET AMERICAN HOME SHIELD SEND THEM TO YOUR HOUSE!! 1.2 is way too high so I have to submit another review. Guy who works on dishwashers doesn't like to work so he concocts an "electrical" problem. Electrician comes out and confirms nothing wrong with the outlet. Dishwasher guy comes back 2 weeks later, diagnosed the issue and then transfers the service to another vendor, forcing another 2 week delay. read more

Superior Appliance was recommended by American home insurance On my refrigerator, the top door bracket and holds the part of the door wore out and broke off, and Superior said that I caused the issue. not sure how that happened just refrigerators 22 years old and I would never buy American home insurance. The repairman was here for one minute, walked in, looked at the fridge and walked out and wrote it up and said, abused, insane between him and Superior and American insurance they have a total scam going so do not sign up for it read more

Absolute Garbage. They came through AHS home warranty and said the fridge was fixed 4x when it was not. Terrible service, guy on the phone is grumpy and the tech is super uncomfortable to talk to. I'm guessing they only contract through AHS because there is no way anyone would directly pay these people their hard earned money. Completely lied and said they came to the house and completed the repair when they did nothing of the sort. Avoid at all costs. read more

Worst repair experience ever had 2 appliances a refrigerator and a washer both serviced by this company both stopped working after they serviced them I tried to get them back to do repairs but they never answered my calls and when they finally did get back out there claimed I had to pay more money for them to fix the same issue read more

I went through my home warranty to get my freezer repaired. It was disappointing service. The initial visit was about 15 minutes. They said they needed a a part to be ordered. We didn't hear back for a month. Our warranty couldn't update us because there were no updated details on our profile. This company was unresponsive for a few weeks then contacted us to let us know they got the part in. When they came to fix it there was a problem with the part. Then they had to come back again. The total time of the project was, I want to say six weeks. I would not have worked with them if it wasn't for my home warranty. Honestly I feel like this place is getting a bad reputation because they are possibly understaffed. My freezer is fixed now so I guess the headache is over. read more

My home warranty contract-- American Home Sheild--Warranty (also a very bad company)--put in a request for my dryer that was not working --- Seven weeks later --I still didn't have a working dryer--- or had they even tried to fix it They said they couldn't get the parts. They hadn't even tried to fix it So after waiting for them for seven weeks--I called Sears. They came the next day. They had the part in truck !!!!!They fixed it and I had a dryer that same day !!!!! This is the second time this company has been dispatched for repairs for appliances in my home. The first time they never fixed the dryer saying it was dirty. The second company came out and determined the dryer needed replaced. Then my oven circuit board went out. Due to the cost to replace it I used my home insurance service again who dispatched this company again. The tech gave a different diagnosis and said they would call to get approval to fix. They instead closed the ticket saying repairs were complete. This company is a joke. Don't waste your money read more

They sent a very rude and unhelpful technician. I kept asking what was happening to my washer and he said he wasn't going to tell me because I didn't understand technical words. I have paid the money through my insurance for them to come out and the technician said they'd order the part and they would contact me in few days. They never called and canceled my new service request. Do not waste your time with this company. They have horrible customer service and are not reliable. read more

Absolutely the worst. The place is basically a scam for home warranty companies. They dont actually fix anything. Had to service request for separate issues go threw them. The most unreasonable and ridiculous appliance repair company. This is the only repair contact for American Homeshield in Reno and all they do is refuse repair. They will give reasons to AHS that would warrant not doing repair. if you have AHS, and they assign the job to Inferior, I mean Superior, you are doomed. Theyrefuse my 4 year old dryer to be fixed, and then when I called for my washer after 2 months, they refuse the washer too because according to them, we are overloading the machine... how can they say that? will be cancelling my AHS because this does not make any sense anymore! they deserve a negative star!! read more

Absolutely awful. Do not use this company. They do not diagnose your issues with your appliances - they guess. And, I was only using this company because of American Home Shield. They came out to do a warranty repair and got my claim denied because of some maintenance issue per the report. It wasn't a maintenance issue. It was a problem in the drain line but they were too lazy to properly assess the issue. Another problem I have is that as the property owner after the service is done, they write a report it's very vague. When I call them to find out more detail about what's going on my call goes to voicemail and they never return phone calls. I have to call them over and over. So if you want poor work done, bad assessments and bad communication go here. Otherwise, there are a lot of other vendors in Reno in a better. read more

Honestly if you have American home shield you can request sears to come out instead it's worth the wait. This company was nothing but trouble. Never answers the phone. Sent me on hour long calls with whirlpool and cost me an extra 300$ in service requests just to get a compressor replaced. After many hours on the phone with American home shield they said I could switch service provider's. And guess what sears came out inspected the fridge. Ordered the parts and will be fixed within the week. This company strung me along for two whole months and got nothing done. I would give 0 stars if I had the option. The guy that came to repair my dryer was very rude. He started telling me what I needed repaired before looking in my dryer. He tried to get $450 from me on top of the $100 I just paid my home warranty. He said it was mandatory that I have my dryer vent cleaned and that would have been $300 alone. I took him outside to where the air came out of the vent. He said "see, there isn't any air coming out ". No S**t Sherlock. The dryer wasn't running. American Home Shield should be ashamed for referring this company. I've kind of had it with them too. I'm purchasing a new dryer today and just for routine maintenance I'm having my vent cleaned by another company for less than $100 . Don't let these people in your home. read more

AHS assigned Superior. He meet with my tenant and said this 21 year old dishwasher is old. The disperser button in the machine for the rinse broke off while washing. No big deal the new pods have it in them. A small piece broke off the front panel having nothing to do with the operation of the dishwasher that currently is not cleaning the dishes. The claim was denied by AHS due to abuse. Its 21 years old. It would have broke earlier if abused. While at the house he barely looked at dishwasher, talked about his father's alzheimer's. Absolutely horrible service. I attempted to use them through my home warranty. The first time they showed up they could not figure out what was wrong with my refrigerator and why it would not maintain temperature. The second time he came out he informed us it was in fact the coils and they would need servicing but he would need a second person to help him pull the fridge out. And since then it's been crickets. Not a phone call. Not a text. Not a nothing 2 weeks. I do not trust them to work on my appliances and I think they're severely unqualified to do this work. I think they are taking advantage of the home warranty and milking it for everything it's worth. I have informed them through my home warranty that they are not allowed on my property. Liars, cheat, conmen, whatever you'd like to call them...NEVER agree to have this company in your home! We have dealt with them several times over the years, due to various home warranty company using them. Each time, we have had to escalate the issue, because their standard MO is to lie on the report they send to the home warranty company, close the ticket before work is performed, ignore all calls (from the homeowner and from the home warranty company), and let this go on for months. Then and only then...if the homeowner is tenacious and won't let up...will they finally fix the problem, and always sub par. That Superior Appliance is even still in business is appalling. NEVER have them even out to your house to begin with! Feb. 2024 - Our most recent issue has been a dishwasher door that needed to be fixed (the spring component has broken). They came out, and the guy left only saying to me that he had to "contact his company to see about a part." But in the report he sent to American Home Shield, he said he "couldn't access the dishwasher, because the floor prevented him from doing so." He never asked me nor my husband to give him any additional access - and it's easy to do, he was just lazy and lying. I have called the company multiple times and it goes to voice mail. I call AHS every day and they also call the company and leave voice mails. This has been going on now for over a month...still no resolution. They are simply crooks. read more
