I am so lucky to have discovered Superfine Tiffins! I love Indian food and don't have any time to cook, so this is a healthy yet truly delicious option: What sets this meal service apart from others is that I don't have to sacrifice flavor and spice to stay fit. (In the past, it has been extremely difficult for me to stick with nutritious food services because the meals were never spicy enough, never left me satisfied, and then I would often go to bed hungry and frustrated/eat a giant bag of Masala Banana Chips to compensate). That being said, it is also a very personalized service. The chef is not only talented and likes to vary the menu from week to week but will also reach out to you personally to ask about any dietary restrictions and/or preferences. Deliveries are just once a week, and you will always receive a text the evening before so that you know when you should be ready to receive the food. I receive mine early in the morning, so the delivery never interferes with my work schedule. I have chosen the option to receive six different veggie and protein dishes (to mix and match throughout the week), but I believe they also offer breakfast items like masala idli. Highly suggest! read more

As a college student in NYC, Superfine Tiffins has been a service that has not only saved me money and time but also my diet. The food is absolutely delicious, keeping me satisfied but also includes sufficient protein, veggies and nutrients to keep me going on a day to day for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. The Sohals are such humble and loving people and I couldn't be more appreciative of them. It's thanks to this service that I feel at home even miles away from it. I couldn't recommend this homemade tiffins service more highly! The food is so fresh and healthy, the dishes delicious and varied each week, and my husband and I always remark on how great we feel after these meals -- nothing like our (beloved but) heavy Indian take-out in our neighborhood. Especially during quarantine, this has been a true godsend. The chef is so talented, and we love that it's a local family business. Plus amazing customer service, and it's completely customizable week to week, so zero commitment. Highly suggest!! read more

I cannot believe that I have never seen this restaurant before today. Actually, I can, since it's a store front type of setting but don't let that be a deterrent. Okay, I I decided to google nearby restaurants and came upon this one. The reviews were waaaaaaaaay too good to be true but I always check yelp anyway... so I'll get the truth... right? So, yelp reviews were ridiculously good as well. I decided to make this place a "must try" and boy am I glad I did. The food is REALLY, REALLY GOOD HERE!!!!! Even had desert. read more

Food gets delivered early Sunday morning and is enough to satisfy my home food cravings throughout the week. Feels healthy and balanced. Flexibility to eat as much or as little especially during these work from home days. I'm hooked and have not missed my weekly order for weeks now!! Highly recommended. read more

I'm a big fan of Indian food so I am very excited to find this gem of a place. My wife and I had the Tikka Masala, chickpeas, rice, garlic naan, and the salad. It is the details that differentiate a good restaurant from a great one. The subtle spices were very tasty and not overwhelming. The tikki masala was wonderful! You can actually taste how the chicken was roasted. And the garlic Naan was highly addictive. We ended the meal with a mango lassi...in all its deep creamy goodness! To top it all off, the staff was superb. Polite, quick, and professional. A true 5 star experience tonight...my new "go to" place in town! read more

Superfine Tiffins is fantastic. I only get the vegetarian, but it is fantastic. Curries that I ate growing up at home in India that I no longer remember the names of, vegetables that I did not even realize were available for sale in the US, it is amazing, authentic, and very healthily prepared. I've been in the US for over a decade, this is the food that I grew up with in India, at excellent quality. read more

I am a regular at this restaurant & I'm surprised I didn't leave a review earlier. It must be because I so happy after eating the delicious food here. The people here are very pleasant and give you great service. They will cook the food to your liking weather spicy, mild tangy or sweet. They have many vegetarian options but I recommend the chefs special when it is available trust me it's amazing. The butter chicken is also very good. As for deserts my wife can't get enough of the gallob jamin, I'm probably spelling it wrong but if you ask they will know what your talking about read more

We have worked with Superfine Tiffins to cater a lovely, large Diwali dinner (before the pandemic) and more recently, long overdue friends and family get together - both in Montclair, New Jersey. First they traveled out to New Jersey with food as fresh is if it was coming off the stove! And then, to be able to have ghar ka khanna in the form of kofta sabzis, dals, gajar ka halwa, salad with homegrown vegetables at one's party, is nothing short of soul nourishing. Everyone, Indian and non-Indian, commented on the flavor of everything they made. The ras malai melted in your mouth :) Their food, made with love and heart, made both of our events warmer and more memorable as everyone helped themselves to just a little more :) Thank you. read more

I loved Superfine tiffins. The food is healthy and tastes great. It is ideal for people who want home made north indain food but dont have time/dont know how to to cook themselves. The service is great as well. They have all kinds of options from vegan to non vegetarian. I tried the omnivore package and really liked it. You can also customize your plan/add extra rotis as you like. The menu is changed every week so you never get bored of the food. The price is higher than the other tiffin sevices in NY but i feel its definitely worth it. read more

I was totally disappointed to drive here only to see that it is now a deli. It appears as though yhe restaurant no longer exists, if so, it's no longer a priority. I guess it's not the best location for a restaurant. I'm sorry that I missed out. read more

The boneless chicken curry with Nan bread was great & definitely loved the story great ppl too

Phenomenal customer service and tasty food! Asked for my butter chicken to be extra spicy and the spice level was barely medium, but it was still delicious as was everything else! I'm not sure where they get their cheesecake from but it was also delicious - moist and perfect. Will order again!! read more

I bought chicken makhani and was amazing. Chicken was tender and great. Kids and I really enjoyed it. Will order again.

Great food! Chef Harpreet Sohal has a lot of experience and was very open to accomodating our requests for a party. The guests (mix of ethnicities) all loved the food. The samosas and chicken Tikka were highlights of the menu. Dal makhni (lentils) was also highly praised. Would definitely recommend the place be it for "just Indian takeout for the night" or a big party. read more

I am so delighted to have discovered Superfine Tiffins. I wanted a healthy meal delivery service now that I'm working from home, and I had been using a larger company for a bit, but I was disturbed by the significant amount of packaging their meals came with. Superfine Tiffins sells reusable containers that you buy once, and then you can just have food in new containers delivered each time and give back the old ones--a brilliant way to avoid waste! Delivery has been during the time slot promised, early for me but worth getting up for because the food has been healthy and absolutely delicious thus far. Also, the customer service has been fabulous (emails with questions have gotten an almost immediate answer). I would definitely recommend this service, and I can only wish more restaurants offered an option like this, but I'm very grateful to have found this one. read more

I ordered from this authentic family-owned Indian restaurant last week. It's hidden on Rockaway Boulevard, an area not known for this type of food. I was skeptical. I give every place one chance. This place blew my mind! I've been to good Indian restaurants in Manhattan and further out on Long Island. I'm spoiled. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised at Superfine. I had no idea the food would be so delicious and authentic! The menu is extensive and includes a nice variety of vegetarian/vegan options as well. The portions are large. We got 3 meals out of one entree, a salad and two appetizers. Very tasty, well cooked food. Chicken cooked to perfection. Salad was super fresh, garnered from local farms as much as possible. The staff were quite courteous and patiently explained the menu items to me over the phone! The food was ready on time; they called to let me know it was ready. Everything is freshly prepared, spicy to taste. This restaurant is an extra treat to the neighborhood. The prices are very reasonable. Not much space for dining-in for a large group, but good for an intimate meal for 2-4, and they cater. This is our new go-to place. 5 minutes from home. We're going to order from them again real soon! Note: They are closed on Wednesdays. That's OK. Everyone deserves a day off! :-) read more

This restaurant is phenomenal! I went there for the first time last summer and have been going ever since. Their food taste like authentic home cooked Indian Cuisine and they have many amazing options for Vegans and Vegetarians. One of my favorite dishes is the Vegan Curry Chicken Drumsticks. the flavor of the curry is so flavorful and the drumstick texture taste just like meat but all plant based. once you go hear you will not want to stop! read more

I found this place on chance, but was very pleased with the result. The staff are extremely friendly, great food, great service. I ordered the chicken curry (spicy), garlic naan brief, and cumin rice, which was just shy of $20 for the three items. The staff were very attentive, and our food was ready in under ten minutes, all very tasty. This place is a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, and kind of blends in with the other Indian food restaurants along Rockaway Blvd, but I give it a thumbs up and would definitely come back again! read more
