The haircut stylists have done a pretty good job cutting my hair. The staff are very nice and talkative. The place can be kind of busy sometimes. I am definitely going to bring my boys here instead of a barber shop or the mall barbers. The barber shops are always so weird and awkward, not super friendly and inviting. My two young son and I came in on a Sunday morning for haircuts. The boys were a little nervous because they were not happy with their last haircuts at a barber shop at the mall. I have never been disappointed with this Supercuts BUT yesterday was a different story as I had to call and talk to the manager Luz to get a free hair cut for my mother. My niece took her this time as I was busy. My mom has dementia and barely gets out of the house so we managed to get mom out and decided to get a cut. We always ask for the same thing a super short cut. So when the girl was done my niece said can you go shorter. The girls response was I would have to do the cut all over again. If I was there I would have said then do it again. But my niece was frustrated and they left. I don't play around I got on the phone when they came back and the manager said I heard my worker ask your niece scissors or clipper. She said scissors but still wanted it short. Well I don't call little curls in back short. What a freakin waste of time and I might not be able to get my mom out for another month. She barely walks, has dementia and doesn't like to go outside. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My last trip here was to get my money back over the horrible "service" they did, and I will never be back. I went two weeks ago for a quick trim. At this time, my hair was a little bit past my bra strap. Some lady named Rashelle or Lashelle (one of those) helped me and cut my hair. I told her I wanted a long bob that touched my shoulders, and she said she couldn't do it because of my hair length, etc, whatever. She ended up chopping it above my shoulders and throughout the cut kept asking the manager, Danielle, for guidance. When Ra/Lashelle was done, she cut off more than what I wanted. It was a drastic change for me but I went home satisfied with a new look. As I began styling my hair for work, I noticed one side was completely longer than the other. The right side was at my shoulders, and the left side was a little below my chin. The back was completely choppy and uneven, and it looked like a shark bit off my hair. I immediately went back and spoke to Danielle and said my hair needed to be fixed. She said Ra/Lashelle would help me as soon as she was done with her client. I expressed to Danielle that I would feel more comfortable with her doing it and how upset I was over my hair. She told me to come back at 1pm because she was working on two color appointments. When I told her I had work at 1, she said to come later in the evening and the next manager would be able to help. I left extremely angry, frustrated, and in tears. I went to work that day in the foulest mood because I wasn't able to hide the horrible job this girl did to my hair. I went back that evening and spoke to Tammi, the manager, and explained the situation and asked for a refund. She constantly asked to fix it herself, but I was so angry and fed up with the "customer" service I received earlier that I no longer wanted to be there. Thankfully she gave me my money back. Then she went on to say that Ra/Lashelle was a sub from the La Mesa Supercuts. So don't go see her either or else she'll ruin your hair too. I'm more upset by the customer service at this place than anything. I don't know how or why any hair stylist would be okay with someone walking out of their place with the haircut I had. The stylists here are all friendly and know what they are doing. Last time I came here, my hair was over 3 inches long from the top and knowing that they get pretty busy on the weekends and in the afternoons, I came around 11:30 am to avoid their rush. The lady who did my hair was young and had a modern 'look', I went up to her and said I want a new look, make me look good and thinner; she recommended to cut my sides short and to leave a medium length on top. I ended up with a great looking fohawk and people now ask if I have lost weight... I love my new haircut. All the ladies that work here are young (under 35) and very nice, I am a returning customer and will continue until they decide to go out of business. read more

Got my hair cut here a week ago and the lady who cut my hair did a horrible job. When she first start, she told me my hair was damaged, and bad. First off, I take care of my hair. She was trying to sell their products, and umm NO lady! You do NOT tell a PAYING customer that there hair is totally damaged. She made me feel embarrassed! And on top of that my husband got his eyebrows done by her, and she kept messing them up. He had to tell her to fix it 5 times. This is not the place to go for the ladies looking for a hair style. I brought in a picture to get some Khaleesi braids. I brought in a photo to make sure she could do it, and I ended up looking like a chola. So I wasn't going to walk out of the salon like that, so she redid my hair and just did two simple braids that I was capable of doing myself. I still had to pay and arrived late to my event with hair that I ended up redoing in the car. This is the kind of place where men get their hair buzzed. It's not for women interested in updos. No stars would be appropriate. If you're thinking of doing color here, I would HIGHLY recommend not too. My family warned me about this place but I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I just wanted a color patch and cut. She bleached a portion of my hair but not all the way to the roots said they don't do that here, then a little later after foil done said she'll do the roots for me after she bleached everything in foil first, so the roots and the rest of hair weren't even, then she sloppily placed on the toner not even getting it on all the hair, it came out horrible blochy uneven and orange. Then she said she could reapply the toner or bleach more in a week. PLEASE don't let them do it. Your hair would be fried. Then they didn't wanna schedule me in the morning because I would take too much time and they'd loose out on money for other customers and I'd have to pay extra for the extra toner even though they fucked up. Just a a small patch of my hair literally a small side took 3.5 hours. I wouldn't recommend for color or if you want good customer service. Just overall a bad experience. read more

In Spring Valley from Connecticut visiting my son. As I never have the time to get my hair colored and highlighted stopped in and asked price and few specific questions about having it done here. Made an appointment and after checking Yelp called to ask if Janette was available. She is fabulous. She listened and did exactly what I asked for. Not only was I happy with the results I absolutely love my new color. Posted a picture on Facebook and had over 100 likes and 20 comments about how great it looks. Do need to mention that I generally trust one hairdresser at home with my hair so this was a very scary experience. This is a very clean environment. You are able to get a facial and brow wax here at a reasonable price. The stylists are friendly and they cut your hair the style you desire. The products they sell are exceptional and the staff is educated on which shampoos and conditioners are well suited for each hair type.
