Hi Lissette, Thank you for the refund and for your opinion. I shaved my hair because I visited other stylists who said there was nothing they could do. I even paid to get it toned a darker color to try to blend the roots and it wouldn't even hold because of how porous it was. Even you said it would turn green if we tried any color darker so I don't understand the point. Nevertheless it's still no excuse for how crooked it was. I even went to a barber to get the cut I wanted but even they told me it look bad in the back because of how uneven the color was. I appreciate how nice you were, that's why I tipped you. When I came back for my phone charger I had my friend go in to get it because I didn't feel comfortable going back in after you rushed me out. No one could help how you left it, not even you. It's not like I was going to walk around looking like that until my hair was healthier.
If you're looking for an amazing cut & color then look no more!! This place is absolutely amazing! Blanca saved my hair from disaster and I couldn't be more thankful! The picture on the left was when I first came to Blanca. I told her I wanted to go platinum and right off the bat she told me that if I wanted to go platinum I would have to do multiple sessions because my hair was already damaged from the previous botched bleached hair from another stylist. Blanca wanted to strip all the box color I had prior safely without causing too much damage to my hair. And I trusted her decision and she got me to platinum blonde in only 2 sessions and my hair still looks and feels amazing! But honestly it's because of Blanca. Blonde hair is completely new to me and she took the time to educate me and show me how to properly care for my new blonde hair. That is something that I admire most about Blanca because she really cares for her clients. Whenever I'm there I feel like family and not just some client in her chair.

I keep talking about it and sending my friends pictures. And the color she did for me, it is so lovely! Literally, the whole experience was no hassle. I didn't even have to show Lissette a reference photo of what I wanted. She listened to me, listened to want I wanted, made appropriate suggestions and I got exactly what I envisioned. I have never had my hair this short for the past decade, and now I don't ever want to grow it out again! Lissette truly did an amazing job. Not only that, she was very personable, friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back, and I will no doubt be recommending this salon to everyone I know. Thank you!
I came in about 2 years ago to try this place out and I had a great experience i had Lissette and she has been doing my hair ever since.... very communicative, friendly and flexible as long as you communicate ahead of time (which you should do anyway). The salon is cute and clean it has plenty of parking as well. I also know Blanca and she is also a great stylist!!! before and after pic posted.... this is a year progress going blonde
Once again, my girl Kami does my hair and I leave satisfied! I come in here every 2-3 months and I always leave happy! Everyone here is super friendly and sweet. The atmosphere is very home feeling and relaxing. A small and cute shop you outta check out. They don't just cut and dye hair.. You can get your nails done, you can wax, you can get a massage. Pretty much all in one which makes it that much cooler and a must visit if you're looking for a great salon.. This is the place to go! Kami is my hair stylist and she is amazing!! Always doing what I want for my hair and it always turns out how I want it! If you are in need of a short hair cut.. Kami is the person to go to! She's precise and her short hair cuts are just phenomenal! She's amazing with color as well. Very passionate about what she does! Every style and every color.. Kami is your girl to call! Love Love Love this salon! All the girls are sweet and welcoming! Anytime I go they all have a smile on their face. Super friendly environment and very clean as well. And they are bilingual!!! Blanca is amazing at doing hair! She is my new go to girl for hair (cuts, color, style). She recently did my hair and she made sure I was happy with the outcome before she let me out the door. I've seen some of the work that the other girls have done and it is gorgeous! Would I recommend this Salon? of course! Will I be back? Let me tell you, I already scheduled my next appointment! If I could give Blanca 100 stars I would.! I went in with my hair passing my hips after not cutting in over 6 years and just had a need for change so I decided on a long A line bob. I showed Blanca a picture of what I wanted and she gave me exactly that.!!! As she cut my hair she asked me several times if I liked the length or if I wanted a little shorter, with patience she cut a little more as I asked. All to end with the final perfect cut that exceeds my expectations.! THANK YOU Blanca for giving me the change I've wanted for so long.!!!! ms. blanca has done it again! i absolutely love how my hair turned out! i booked my first appointment with her 2 years ago when i decided to finally restore my hair back to health with a much needed haircut! since then, i grew my hair to a length that fell just below the chest. i decided to finally cut it again due to breakage from having to tie my hair almost everyday for school. luckily for me i still had blanca's card and sent her a message, she was so sweet enough to be able accommodate for me very last minute and even remembered the length/style she cut it at my first time with her! like i told her, she is the only one i trust with my hair as i've had my share of horrible experiences with other hairstylists. to where i let her style and cut the way she wants to mixed with what i want. she strives to make sure her client's hair can be as healthy as much as she can from her end of things along with recommendations to improve hair health overall until you see her again. thank you so much blanca!

I just left there! I'm very picky when it comes to beauticians. I looked here on Yelp and probably called a handful of salons near me. I read all the reviews and figured I'd give it try. I contacted Blanca and she responded right away. As soon as I got there and told her exactly what I wanted. She definitely delivered. Blanca not only can cut and style your hair the way you want it she makes you feel like family. Her sister is awesome too! I feel 100% myself after coming out of this salon! Blanca is amazing! I haven't had my hair cut in YEARS... It was really long (down past my hips) but very dry with A LOT of split ends. I always worry that the stylist will cut too much, leaving it shorter than desired. I briefly explained what I wanted, but also said I trusted her judgement so to just work her magic... She made sure I was happy throughout the process. She trimmed just enough, added a few layers, & did a deep condition/moisturizing treatment so my hair looks & feels much healthier now! Loved our experience here. Came the first time this week. Blanca fit us in even though she was booked. She stayed late to accommodate us. We had babylights done on my daughter. They turned out amazing and they did not cost as much as most places. Under $100. I highly recommend Blanca. read more

I love The Corner Salon. First of all, I really like supporting local businesses and this is certainly a treasure. It's right off the 54 at the Briarwood exit and there's ample parking. After getting tired of the drive from Chula Vista to Encinitas to get my hair done, I started looking for some place closer to home. Now, that The Corner Salon is part of my monthly indulgences, I can't believe all the wasted time I spent on the road driving north. Stay local, stay local, stay local. Sandy, the owner, is a true artist in not only color but also cuts. The best part is that the atmosphere is so easy and comfy that you feel you've just spent an hour with your best friend. The Corner Salon has a second gem that surely warrants accolades, as well. Lisa is the salon's nail technician who does an incredible job. First of all, it's so refreshing to have some one start with a consultation that not only asks what you want, but she thoroughly explains how they will look when they are done. She explained how the drilling was damaging my real nails and then proceeded to work on my nails with just Emory boards. The pink and white acrylics are beautiful and lasts for 3-4 weeks without lifting or chipping. Lisa even added a bit of nail art which I love. read more

Would like to say thanks to Ilse for being able to squeeze me in on a Saturday after a holiday. The place is very nice and close to where i live so the drive is not bad. I've switched from my acrylic nails to OPI gels--and they actually stay on till they grow out. Seriously--I get three weeks out of these things over my thin nails. Lisa tells me this isn't typical, but I'm sold. Sandy is as always wonderful--terrific for short cuts--I mean, AMAZING--and the color--wow--just always fantastic. read more

Called in this morning for a last minute appointments and Blanca was able to fit me in. I am absolutely in love with the work she put in for my hair. Blanca and her sister were so kind and welcoming. I called this salon last minute and they were able to take me in that afternoon. Blanca and Erika were great and super nice. Erika did my hair I wanted to get a balayage, I had one previously that had completely grown out and faded. She was able to take my hair and make it beautiful and at the same time giving me a cut I needed. Lissette is awesome! She's great and I love my new hair style. I have long and thick hair and she was completely professional and totally patient the entire 4 hours it took! I made an appointment with Erika & she's a wonderful stylist. I informed her I wanted a light brownish/caramel balayage & that's what I got. My hair before was damaged & colored wrong & Erika helped transform my hair into something I love. She cut, colored, conditioned, & styled my hair. She gave me helpful tips about maintenance & was very nice. This was my first time getting my hair done here & I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this salon, great customer & affordable prices! read more
