Stylist didn't listen to my requests and went ahead and gave me a D-rated short haircut complete with spikes, uneven trims, and never asked what my preferences were. I have had good haircuts here from competent capable staff, and I have had rushed, subpar haircuts here from less than capable staff. Most of the good stylists leave for somewhere else. So if you are clicking "next available", do so at your own peril. You might walk away with your sideburns chopped off or patches of hair sticking up, or a messed-up hairline at the back of your neck. All this for the ever-increasing price of $27.00. No big bargain. Slap on any kind of tip- you're flirting with a $40.00 chop job. I found a barber near my work that I go to now. Serious people, that do a good job including straight razor in back and on the burns and less than this place. Been going here for a while, not anymore. read more

I had the worst haircut ever with Stacy , I heard from Kerry she was new , I gave her a chance which I shouldn't have. She got so flustered Stacy had to have Kerry fix her screw ups. This was supposed to be a very simple cut ( Quiff ). If she can't handle that she shouldn't be cutting hair. Thank god Kerry came to my rescue. Originally Stacy was going to do a #4 on my sides I ended up with a 1 1/2 maybe 2. Originally I wasn't going to do a review until I got home and saw my sideburns one side high the other side longer. She couldn't even get that right. I doubt I'll be back for another hair cut. If by some chance I did I'd have Kerry cut my hair. She should have gotten the tip. Also as I sat in Stacy's chair it smelled like cat piss. I told her it was either a bad Pine smell or cat piss. She kept saying this is gross over and over again. She needs to stop wining to costumers. Her area wasn't very clean on the floor by the base board area. Not good. I posted a review that was no longer there. I'm giving 5 stars. I didn't bother to read reviews before going anywhere I had no time. Had to get to a wedding which brings me to the 5 stars. The person cutting my hair understood I was under time constraints, my sisters wedding. I was a mess after not getting a cut during the lockdowns. But the barber whizzed around me and helped me make very clear how close I wanted a cut and I was out of there in no time. Excellent cut. They got me in and out quickly and I got what I needed. I think a 3 minute hair cut for a 3 year old shouldn't cost $22- and I mean 3 minutes - as an added bonus wanted to send my girls out with wet hair- awesome! I was a new customer. I spent $20 and less than 10 minutes to have my hair cut. The time includes new customer registration and the lady's phone conversation. So she spent 5-6 minutes on my hair. Moved to the area recently from Britain. I have short hair but it grows thick real ticket quickly so I like to get my hair cut at least every 2 or 3 weeks, at $15 a pop it's a good deal, and I've have three different stylists since I started going, all of which are delightful. I needed somewhere to blow my hair last minute before some major job interviews. And every salon was either closed or booked on a Monday. So I scrambled and made my way here. I was nervous as I've never been to one of these stores, but Maria did an AMAZING job and truly one of the best blowouts I have ever received for so cheap! I've been going to the Shrewsbury for sometime now and the quality of the haircut varies from haircutter to haircutter. Never had a great cut, but it's convenient and cheap. The last time I walked in there was one customer getting their hair cut and two other employees doing nothing but talking. When the guy, who was doing most of the talking, finally looked up and saw me he asked if I had an appointment and I said that I didn't, but the app noted that there was zero wait time. He said they don't do cuts without an appt. and I should come back in about an hour and a half. It's been about six weeks now and I haven't been back and I probably will never go back. read more

The stylist my mother had, decided to give herself a nice $12.50 tip even after my mom gave her a cash tip. The haircut was $12.50 after the $5 coupon my mom had, and we used a TD gift card. For "some reason" the gift card did not go through when she swiped the card and was asked to manually put in the card number after swiping it. Come to find out the girl tipped herself $12.50 making the total $25. We went back to complain and were given a new receipt that did not show the money was going back on the card. Well, it has been almost 2 weeks and the money has not been put back on the card and the transactions show no sign of a refund. Very disappointed but I guess happy holidays to someone who needed some extra money. ( The hairdresser ended up getting $17 as a total tip after taking the $12.50 off the card and the cash tip that was given.) Never bring a young child here! In the past I have had good experiences here, until this last cut. I brought my 2 yo in. From the beginning they seemed to be annoyed that he was so young. (I wish they just would have told me from the beginning that they could not do it!) Every time he moved the littlest bit, the stylist scolded him, rolled her eyes, and made a sighing noise. And she would talk to him like he had any idea what she was saying. Then she basically said she could not do anymore, even though his hair was not done. Then they charged me full price!
