With any salon, the results are largely dependent on who your stylist is. As one recent reviewer below, I also got the "younger, heavyset Hispanic girl" who was indeed nice. But the whole premise of this place is for the stylist to LISTEN to what you want done and then execute it. She must have tuned out for the last half of my instructions because she essentially just gave me a buzz cut. when this isn't at all what I wanted. I told her that I always keep the front part longer. Then as the haircut progresses she suddenly goes over the front with a 3, which is very short, and all I could say at that point was "I said I keep it longer in the front". The look of disappointment on my face said it all and she kept saying she was sorry. Left feeling like crap. I gave this place a couple chances, this was the last one. Taking my business elsewhere. I used to come here all the time. However, I don't see the purpose of call-in or check-in at this place anymore. I called them, was told to come in an hour. I came in 50 minutes, was told the wait was 20-25 minutes. No problem, I can wait this much. But, I waited for an hour and it didn't look like I was getting a haircut in the next 20 minutes for sure! Tell me if it's over one hour wait, I'll go get something to eat. Got so hungry had to leave... Nice, but seems to have NO IDEA what she is doing. I have never written a review on Yelp before, but felt the need to after receiving the worst haircut I have ever had.
My hair is so uneven in so many places it is ridiculous. She took such a huge piece out of my bangs that it was impossible to even out, even when I said she could cut my hair shorter to match the length she had removed. I had to fix a lot of it when I got home, but there are still so many problems. I cannot believe this woman is paid to cut hair. STAY AWAY FROM NICOLE. I have posted a picture of a section of my hair that should be an even curve. Instead, I have a halfpipe on my head. I am shocked that a certified hair stylist is capable of doing something like this. Like I said before, she was very nice, but please keep her on the front desk until she learns how to cut hair. I would recommend staying as far away from this place as possible. Lisa R., lacks the skills needed to perform a basic haircut. I asked for a basic trim, but ended up with my hair looking as if she cut mini tiers in it.... It was very choppy looking. The center was 1/4" shorter then the right side, while the left side was longer then the right side. The haircut looked like a game of Tetris. It's obvious that, Lisa, needs extensive training. When I returned to the salon to show her what she had done to my hair, she seemed surprised. She wanted to correct it, but I opted for the managers help instead. Side note: Just because, Lisa, completed 1600 hours of cosmetology school, and passed a board certified test, doesn't mean she's actually good at what she does. She should be focusing on continuing her education, so she can learn and grow as a hairstylist. It's clear that she needs some guidance in her field of work. Ana, their salon manager is wonderful. She did her best to correct the haircut, but unfortunately it was hard to correct without removing more length. Overall, I lost about 3" of hair. I stopped into the salon today and was fully refunded. This was my first visit to Supercuts, and my last visit. Lesson learned! Worst haircut of my life. Don't know the girls name but never again. She cut it way shorter than the picture I showed her and she just basically hacked it! I'm horrified! And there is nothing I can do because to fix it would mean I have to go even shorter. It's uneven and doesn't even make sense which means I can't style it. I literally sat in my car and cried afterward. And I'm still crying 2 days later. On the plus side the lady who cut my daughter's hair did a lovely job. I had a completely awful experience today. This is surprising because I usually am very satisfied with the haircuts I get here. This younger heavyset Hispanic girl who was very nice, had no idea what she was doing. I asked for a blended clipper cut. Not exactly an advanced cut, it's a pretty common style. It was evident as soon as she started, that she had no idea what she was doing. I couldn't really give her pointers because it felt right away that she wasn't qualified to begin with. I'm at another place now getting it fixed. Grrrrr! What a mess. No common sense. Me and my wife were the only ones in thee shop for hair cuts. While she was getting her cut, three customers came in, no callers, and all three were seated. After over 1/2 hr one of the girls asked if I am waiting for a cut??!!! No customer service. No common sense. Go somewhere else this is not worth it. Totally understaffed for any improvised make overs. They just want to cut hair in under 15 minutes and don't value walk ins with LONG HAIR. I was talked out of my highlights because they close soon. Weird. Was told read more
