Kayla possesses the kind of confidence normally reserved for military generals, cardiac surgeons, and women who know they're always right. I shuffle into her salon looking like an overgrown Victorian orphan who lost a fight with a ceiling fan, and within seconds she has silently assessed every follicular crime I've committed since my last appointment. Then comes the inevitable. "Sit." And I do. Without question. Without hesitation. Without even pretending I had another idea. I've accepted that my role in this relationship is simply to nod enthusiastically while Kayla explains why my opinions about my own hair are adorable, yet fundamentally incorrect. Frankly, she's earned that privilege. The woman doesn't cut hair--she orchestrates follicular rehabilitation with the kind of calculated precision that borders on psychological warfare. Every snip is a correction. Every blend is an act of benevolent domination. Somewhere between the shampoo and the blow dry, I experience what can only be described as consensual surrender to someone with vastly superior aesthetic judgment. The shampoo alone should require paperwork. She starts massaging my scalp and suddenly my internal monologue changes from, "I hope this turns out okay," to, "Yes, ma'am. Whatever you think is best." It's honestly humiliating. Not because she's mean. Because she's always right. Every. Single. Time. I've reached the point where I don't even tell her what I want anymore. I simply arrive looking like an uncultured peasant and await whatever corrective measures Supreme Leader Kayla deems appropriate. My contribution to the appointment consists primarily of blinking and saying, "That makes sense," while she fixes problems I didn't even know existed. The confidence afterward should probably be regulated by the FDA. I leave convinced I'm the main character. I make unnecessary trips to Target just so innocent civilians can witness the masterpiece she's created. I've caught myself checking my reflection in the freezer doors at Costco. More than once. Friends compliment my haircut. No. Compliment Kayla. I'm merely the bewildered mannequin fortunate enough to be assigned to her. Google only allows five stars, which feels wildly insufficient. I'd happily sign a legally binding agreement acknowledging Kayla as the undisputed authority over my appearance for the remainder of my natural life. read more

I've gone to Supercuts for quick trims and I have gotten my hair cut for face framing bangs before. I've gone to multiple locations for years. Regardless of looks of horror when I'd say I go to Supercuts for my haircuts. Im a young women most go to stylist in those boutique salons. I'm not one who likes making appointments so I go to Supercuts for quick cuts. I've never had an experience like this in a Supercuts. The women who I didn't catch her name middle age Caucasian women blonde hair I believe blue eyes ? She was so rude to me. She starts cutting and I notice she is taking a lot more length off then we initially agreed and then I say id like face framing in the front and a slight v in the back. She cut off about 4 inches off my hair and told me that in order to achieve face framing layers length had to go. Any hair stylist would tell you this is wrong you are able to achieve this look without giving someone an almost mullet. I took my loss as the chair because she already had cut off so much I knew it just needed to be even. This women acted like I offended her! She started being RUDE. she hands me the mirror to look at my hair from the back and ask me "do you know how to use this" as she hands me the mirror. I was so astonished by how unprofessional and rude her tone and the things she'd say were. I still gave a 5$ tip because I never leave a service without tipping but even that left a sour taste in my mouth. I will never return to super cuts again. An excellent cut and completely different than the picture that was in my head. I gave her creative freedom and it led to many compliments from friends, family and strangers alike. Sometimes it takes being a little brave and allowing someone with talent to just roll with it. The only thing I'm missing is my wispy. Sideburns. I highly recommend this Location to have your hair cut and a bit of pampering. Stephanie did an incredible job that I decided to book an appointment for myself! When I came in the next time, she did exactly what I asked her (lots of face framing layers). When I decided to get a haircut on a Monday morning, as I walked into this Supercuts, I had no idea that my life would be forever changed after the experience I would have inside those four walls. Sitting in the chair, within literal nano-seconds, I was transported from a mundane Monday morning full of errands and chores, into a metaphysical journey that started and ended with equal amounts of zest and gentle consideration. I had the extreme pleasure to be chaperoned on this philosophical journey of wisdom, enlightenment, and perspective challenges by a Stylist named Kayla. She opened my eyes to the fact that the most amazingly delightful human experiences were not only yet to be seen, but they are within my grasp. I'll leave the positive part of the review first, there's a lady red curly hair, great personality and super sweet! Cuts (boys) hair super amazing.im so sad I don't remember her name but from here on out I'm going to make sure my boys ONLY get her or the older lady with curl hair. Now let's start from last year. My boys all had super long curly hair, and one day they all decided they were done with it, so we got it cut, a year ago almost to the day, I took my boys here because they needed a nice cut for the first day of school. The lady with the red curly hair did my oldest and my youngest at the time and it was my god the best cut I've seen without going to the barber. My middle son, we'll let me tell you, the lady who did his hair was not the greatest, but it was last minute and it was a few pieces that I had to kinda fix at home, nothing major but I told myself not going to her again. Fast forward to yesterday, I schedule 2 of my boys a cut and then my oldest decides he wants one. I was like okay if you have Time are you able to do his. They were very accommodating, and checked in my oldest as well. So this lady short straight brownish is hair calls up my youngest (4) for his cut, not I explain what o like, 1/2 one sides and 2 on top, lined up kinda squared. She says okay. Then the girl with curly hair calls up my middle son, again same numbers same way. She was great! Absolutely sweet personality, joking with my 7 year old and just great attitude for working with children. The first girl though on the other hand not as awesome, she was nice but too technical, my 4 year old said, I bet we're going to finish first (obviously you would think he should finish first because he started getting his cut 15 mins before his brothers) she replies to him well yeah we started first. I was like hmm that's kinda weird but okay. My oldest gets called up by the other lady with curly hair. So middle Child (with red curly lady) finishes first, my youngest says we man Anthony finished, she said well you have a lot of hair. Mind you his hair is longer than the others but barely long enough for a pony tale. Okay so she says how's it looking mom, I look over, thinking and by the question she didn't ask in a way that she was done; she asked like she was still working on it, I said it's looking better. She says okay all done, mind you the faded area was super patchy, the front part of his hair you could see his little curls and the line up was non existant, I asked my daughter to ask her to line up the front at the very least she then trims barely line literally nothing and said okay is that better. I was very annoyed. I'm not one to super complain or do bad reviews because I totally understand some days are not everyone's best. But paying 22$ for a shitty hair cut is not fair. Now sadly at this point I realized this eas the same girl as last time. We went outside and they locked the door. I literally ended up in tear because this was my baby's first time going to school and the hair cut looked absolutely horrible, and the more I looked at it the more I started freaking out because it was just that bad! So I had my fiancé take him to great clips and asked them to fox it. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of before they cut his hair, and I'm not wanting to post the great clips phone so y'all don't think it was super cuts who did his hair but when I tell you it looked a thousand percent better than what the super cuts lady left him looking like. Again, I will not be returning to the other lady, but the red curly hair lady! I will. This location only get 3 stars because of the other two workers. And again the short straight hair lady with a blunt cut, it was literally that bad which is why I want to make sure you guys know, she is the worst with faded hair cuts, maybe she's a lot of better with precision cut not simple faded. read more

I am always nervous to get my hair cut at a place like Supercuts, as I'm a female in my 20s and feel quite attached to my hair. However it needed to be done, and as I'm new in town and don't have a hairdresser, I took the plunge. When I walked in there was one man waiting and 2 hairdressers and when she checked me in she told me it may be an hour (!) wait because of online check ins, but that she'd try to get me in sooner. Luckily, it only ended up being about 20 minutes, but she only attempted to call one name before mine. I'm confused about the check in process here, but I'm glad I didn't leave. Cynthia did a great job on my hair. I like a simple cut, a few long layers and side swept bangs, and she didn't try to convince me otherwise. The peppermint shampoo was lovely and she gave a good massage along with it. She also partially styled and blow dried my hair without an extra charge. I am pleasantly surprised with my Supercuts cut, and will probably return to Cynthia if she sticks around. read more

WORST customer service I have ever seen in Roseville!!! I have been going to this salon (if you call it that) for a year. Walked in yesterday, two hairdressers were working on clients. I was asked to wait 10 minutes or so, so I did. As one hairdresser was sweeping up after finishing her client, a lady walked in and was in a big hurry to get a trim. The other hairdresser was still working on a client. The young rude hairdresser asked me to wait another 10 minutes while she worked on the lady. NO CHANCE! Too many places for me to get a haircut in Roseville to put up with the rude, inconsiderate non-professional! Went right over to Great Clips less than one mile away and treated much better. This was the worst experience! The over weight stylist with the bright orange hair should not be allowed to work as a hair stylist! Her license should be revoked. She butchered my hair, leaving the back choppy, uneven and cut it too short. The manager had to take over and try to work with the damage that was done. I have body dysmorphic disorder. It's a mental illness in which certain perceived flaws in my appearance ends up taking space in my day to day. Today, I made an appointment in this location and asked for curtain bangs. I gave Dalvir a very specific picture of what I wanted and she agreed with me. Before she started cutting it, she asked if the length was ok and I said "No, I want it longer please" and she said ok and end cutting them extremely short and not in the style I asked at all. I attached pictures of the picture I showed her that I wanted to look like, and my actual haircut (my mascara running makes me look even crazier, I'm sorry!). It was so bad and I was so in shock that once I got into my car, I ended up having a panic attack. It's been an hour, and I'm still shaking from it. BDD is just something I have to deal with, but to put my trust in a hairstylist and come out with these results is disheartening. I'm not coming back to this location. read more

I really have not done many reviews but this one I just had too. I needed to find a new place to get my hair cut because I have moved here not too long ago. I had gone to a couple of salons I picked at random twice here, and had been charged quite a bit of money. Mostly $50.00 or higher. I dont even have a lot of hair and it was just a cut no style. I did not want to spend that much money again so I decided to try Supercuts. When I walked into the place The ladies greeted me right away and were very friendly. The first lady listened to me explain exactly what I wanted and did not rush me. Even though she had a quest in the chair. However, it was the second lady that ended up cutting my hair. She was also very friendly and sweet. I explained that I was a bit nervous about coming to a supercuts and she put me at ease explaining that they have to be re-certified each year. Im also nervous because of my hair type if it is cut wrong it really is so obvious. I could tell right away she knew how to cut my hair she was confident and very knowledgeable. I really felt at ease. She did an awesome job I am extremely happy. I will go back to her often for more cuts. I really can say its is a better cut than the really expensive cuts I have had in the past. She is an extremely good hairdresser. She also told me of a new product to use on my hair that I really like also. I cant tell you how thankful I am to have found her. Got to my scheduled appointment, the lady said she'd be with me shortly so I waited abt 5 minutes and then some guy walks in and the same girl was like "do you have an appointment" - keep in mind it was just me and the other guy waiting to be seen - and he said "no" in which she responds "ok I can see you right now." Like that's pretty ridiculous that their priorities are so mixed that they can't differentiate between people who were scheduled to come in at a specific time vs people who don't have an appointment at all. So I waited about another 20 minutes, although the guy's haircut took about 10 with no word from the girl about my appointment. Not worth a $30 haircut. Well 10 of it being the tip that I gave the employee who cut my grandmother's hair. Not too long after we seen the job she did was very crappy like if she didn't really care what she did to my grandmother's hair because maybe we weren't worth a good cut I have no idea what she thought but I felt horrible when I seen the long pieces of hair how and even my grandmother's cut was and she already has short hair. We came back to try to show her how uneven my grandmother's hair was and maybe give her a chance at making some money and showing us that she can do a better job because we would love to have a neighborhood hair cutting spot we can be familiar with and comfortable at since we live around the corner. But shortly after arriving really regretted making that decision. We got nothing but rudeness from the employee who kept a stone cold face and so rudely looked at her watch a few times in the middle of my grandmother speaking to her trying to show her the pieces of uneven hair. So the only real so I came here was because my barber was closed by the time I got home. Coming here was a big mistake. My head had some long strands and the back of my head was squared up but had been cut so high I have to walk around to cover the back of my neck up. Last time I ever go to a Supercuts again. I come to get a hair cut because I know I would not be able to cut my own hair, but in this case I think I would be able to do a lot better. I ended up having to go home and fixing my hair up at home. My wife wanted to go to the place and ask them why they think what they did to my hair was acceptable.
