I visited this salon with high expectations after reading all of the rave reviews and seeing this…read morebusiness specializes in beautiful color work. Given that the prices here are premium, I expected to tap into their marketed expertise to treat my hair woes. I am super bummed to report this salon fell short of those expectations for my visits. I don't feel that I left with amazing hair and reaching the goals discussed with the stylist, or that I even had above average service. I came in to have my roots and ends match a seemingly complex service for me, and eventually after ongoing visits to have my overall hair color lightened. The person who I saw I feel overpromised and underdelivered. Between both of my visits there were many issues which I experienced that amounted to a negative vibe. I felt that the stylist was rushing a lot during a visit which caused her to splatter my face and clothes with lightening product unapologetically. The stylist got dark hair dye which stained very visibly all over my face and was ready to let me leave this way. I had to insist to clean off my own face with wipes. The next visit I needed to remind about this and no notes were taken to proactively avoid. Despite the discussion and understanding with the stylist about what I want for my hair, I noticed there was a difference between my roots and rest of my hair after a lightening service and simultaneous root touch up. I did expect for there to be better matching - this was noticed and confirmed by a different salon which I had a consult with to treat my hair. During one visit when I asked for a hair trim, it was not very detail oriented. Later while looking at my hair, I did see many parts of my ends which weren't trimmed and still had damage. The observation about lack of detail orientation was confirmed at a the different visit. There was another stylist next to me who was obsessing over a client's cut and measuring and cutting from every which angle to ensure perfection - I did not not have anywhere close to this level of attention, QA, outcome for a less complex trim! Then I noticed they were obsessing just to post on social in their in house backdrop/lighting mini studio, which made me wonder if that level of excellence is selective. During my second visit my blow dry was not smooth at all as it was rushed due to end of the night. The service also seemed a bit unapproachable as despite me conveying I need to get in in 4 weeks she was proposing 6 weeks or at times in the middle of the work day. Who in any job can reasonably travel and step away for 2-3 hours in the middle of the work day? Not until I repeated (again), was a more creative solution proposed which would meet my conveyed needs. Egh this lack of empathy in the customer service was yet another turn off. Due to these issues I chose to not proceed with visiting this salon another time, or making it a part of my ongoing hair maintenance routine. There are many beautiful photos on IG from the stylist I saw, and I'm so bummed about my own experience having spent on a premium experience and not being able to leave with awesome hair! I really did feel this salon experience failed to wow me during either of the visits despite giving them more than one try. Given the difference of results, I wonder if this salon is selective about who/when they offer execllent service versus mediocre as I experienced which is too much a gamble when you're paying such premium prices. Unfortunately given how long this business books out, I do not feel it is a practical salon to visit if you have a fast paced lifestyle and are in need of regular hair services. These were all rookie mistakes for a business charging so high - think twice!

I had a color correction, balayage, and hair cut done with Nichole about a month ago and she did an…read moreincredible job. I first called the studio about color correction after I used L'Oréal Colorista to put blue throughout my hair on top of my balayage. The blue would not leave; it had left a strong green color throughout most of the lightened parts of my hair. Fiber first booked me with a consultation, so Nichole could see my hair and book me for an accurate time window. She was super nice and attentive, but for booking, she didn't have any availability for over a month. When she saw how long it was though, she opened up a Saturday about a week and a half away that she had previously been off for because it was the day after her birthday. This was incredibly nice both on her part, and because I was desperate to get rid of the green hair. For the actual appointment, Nichole patiently worked through first stripping the color and then giving me a more dramatic balayage than I previously had. She really looked at the pictures I showed her and talked to me about what I wanted. I was in the salon for about four hours, and Nichole and the staff were nice and accommodating the entire time - including running out to my car multiple times to add change for parking. I love the finished look. I've gotten balayage done multiple times from several different salons, both in this area and in Manhattan, and her work is definitely among my favorite. We forgot to take a before photo, but I've included our after photo. It's been awhile now and I'm very happy with how it's growing out and fading. There was still a green tinge that showed in fluorescent lighting after Nichole was done (not her fault at all, she was honest about realistic expectations, and the dye was way more intense than I thought). However, that's gone now with her recommended use of purple shampoo, and I'm so happy with the final result. I highly recommend Nichole for color correction or for balayage!! Be sure to call in advance, they're very busy.

After a previous visit where I wasn't very happy with the service, one of the owners, Dani,…read moregraciously reached out to me in order to rectify any issues. I'm so glad she did. I went back in for a cut with Chuck and had a great experience and I absolutely adore the cut I got. Everyone was very friendly, there's a welcoming vibe (not pretentious at all like some other salons I've been to), and you can tell they love what they do. They carry Pureology and Redken products which I love. I don't know if I just had bad luck before or if they've since changed something with their operations, but it's now evident to me that customer satisfaction is a priority for them. I already scheduled my next appointment and hope I've found my "regular salon."

My first and second visits went fine although little things bothered me like no designated person working the reception area to greet me and the stylist reeking of smoke. My third visit - which was my final visit - I noticed when I got into my car and looked in the mirror that the stylist left one of my sideburns far shorter than the other. What happened to showing the client the finished style in the mirror before they add product and you leave? I went back in and politely showed the stylist her error. This was clearly an inconvenience for her. She muttered something then begrudgingly evened me out WITH NO APOLOGY. I don't think for a second this particular stylist is representative of the salon as a whole; rather, I just made a bad choice. Still, because of this experience, I won't give the salon another chance. PM me if you want additional details.

My cosmetologist friend was originally helping me cut my hair from what was 16". Unfortunately my…read morefriend got called into work and I was left with my hair undone. I had 3 options: wait for my friend to get off work later that evening, find a salon nearby who can finish it, or do it myself. Since I was in a rush to get it done and I figured it would be a simple task, I began looking for a salon near my house that could finish the job. On their company website I saw pictures from their gallery and read the stylists bios. I resulted with Keishla who I read "for anyone looking for a big change that scissors can't fix, she is your girl." I sat down and showed her a picture of the cut and color I wanted. It was a short hair cut with a level 10 blonde. She asked if I wanted to get to that color today and I said yes as I showed her a picture from (2) former times I lightened my hair to that level in the past. Since then I had grown my hair out and it was in its natural state with no chemicals on it, so it could be done. With her doubt I wasn't sure about a level 10 but I was at least expecting to end with a level 9. We began with a dry cut and it looked decent, although I would've liked my bang to be a little longer, but it was gone already so I didn't make a fuss. We moved onto the lightener. She applied, very slow for such a short amount of hair and it was not saturated at all. I sat for 45 min under a dryer with foil on top. After Keishla and Shauna looked at it they decided to put another bowl of lightener with 20 volume developer because it was still at a level 8 and it was very patchy in the areas where I saw she did not saturate it. It was a rookie mistake and also added an unnecessary bowl of lightener on my tab. After the lightener was rinsed we continued onto the toner. By the way, as I was being rinsed, Keishla and Shauna were making jokes about how black people and how they don't like dogs. They probably aren't racist but it was an ignorant statement, offensive, and very unprofessional. Anyway, my roots were high yellow and the rest bright orange. She gave me hot roots. The toner didn't take, which I never heard of before, so she reapplied another toner. It didn't take, but both bowls we're still added to my tab. At this point I started getting very worried, upset and disappointed. I honestly just wanted to leave but I wanted to see how it would turn out dry. As she was drying it she was telling me how she put something in it that left it straight for 10 washes. I don't really need that or care about that because my hair is short, textured and curly. So I don't want it straight for 10 washes. It was just unnecessary. I also never saw her put any other products or oil in my hair which is what it my hair needs, especially after lightening. After drying my hair was brittle and felt like straw. The color was terrible and I didn't even know how to feel about the cut. Shauna had to fade the back of my head because Keishla couldn't even do it. Which was still a mess because it wasn't lined up with edgers. Keishla continued to straighten my hair by under combing with the straightener. That wasn't efficient or gentle on the hair because again I have a short textured damaged hair now. It needs to be thoroughly combed before just placing two hot plates on it. After 4 hours and $100 later, I ended with a mess. Keishla even offered the advise of "you can even tone it again when you get home." I went home in tears and continued to cry throughout the evening. I went from long natural 16" of hair to a fried short highlighter looking mess. Knowing that she should've been a little more sympathetic about the tragedy or even try to fix it. None of that was relayed. I'm not sure if she did on purpose or if she just didn't know what she was doing. I wish I would've just had the patience to wait for my friend or do it myself. The next day I went to Sally's Beauty Supply purchased toner, color and lots of repair products for my damaged brittle hair. Before the color, my boyfriend had to clipper cut the entire right side and back of my hair because of the damage and the cut just looked bad. He had to properly fade it in with the rest of my hair and line up the rest of it with edgers. I still wasn't completely happy with it but it was a whole lot better than what I had, and I could actually walk out in public. It wasn't a professional environment and the stylist herself wasn't a professional. I wasted money, which thinking back, I shouldn't of even paid her with such unsatisfactory work. I even had to spend even more money and time to fix it. Please learn from my experience. All in all, I do not recommend this salon to anyone. If I could put no stars I would.
