Speaking as someone who usually hates going to the salon, that is really saying something. You see, I don't like having my hair washed by other people. I have neck pain and every time I get put in the sink, it hurts. However, my stylist was so gentle that I felt okay while she put shampoo in my hair. She then brought me over to get my hair cut and the chair was actually comfortable. I had told her that I was very sensitive due to my disability and she couldn't have been nicer about it. She kept checking in with me to make sure I was okay. My hair looked gorgeous after my cut and blow dry, which I usually never think. I was so happy that I could've hugged my stylist. My hair on the floor was immediately swept up, leaving it spotless. I couldn't believe how clean and accommodating this salon is. Everyone who works here is personable and kind. They offer free water and, on the day I went, pastries! I can't say enough how nice this salon is. The prices are good and the staff are happy to assist with any need you might have. I also went to Toronto and NYC several times for haircuts (tried HK and Japanese salons) but Dianne is by far the best! I have natural wavy hair but wave in a not-so-good way. My hair is thick and heavy which makes it very hard to style and to look good. All the stylists I met in the past suggested me to straighten it (which I don't want to cause it's costly and may look fake) but Dianne was the only one that didn't ask me to do so. She follows the hair flow when styling it and the end results just looked great every time. I also challenged her by straighten the top half of the hair and curl the bottom half and the result was again, perfect! It looked natural and healthy (compared to the one time in Taiwan which gave me a obvious line between straight part and wavy part). Overall, I highly recommend Dianne, especially for haircut and styling! (She also does nails but I haven't tried it.) TIP: book her at least two weeks in advance (especially for longer sessions like coloring, curling and straightening) as she is so popular!

I'm not big on sitting in a chair for 20 minutes while someone cuts my hair and makes awkward conversation. So it's definitely a relief to have someone who not only takes their time giving you a nice haircut but is also not awkward to talk to at all. You feel relaxed afterwards, both from the haircut and the conversation. I would highly recommend going here whether you are a girl or a guy.
