I don't know that stylists get enough credit for being on their feet and using their hands all day while having to maintain a sunny disposition (despite whatever they may have to manage in their personal life and/or the myriad of oddities they likely have to endure at the hands of clients).... the salon here certainly deserves that acknowledgment. My visit to Tonic was a truly refreshing break from the hectic realities of life to thanks to their upbeat, welcoming environment with a very genuine and engaging stylist (who heard exactly what I wanted and delivered it!). It is clear that Allison seems takes great pride in her work and emulates a strong confidence in her approach (seems well deserved!). My mom washed her hair after 5 days and her all the roots were gray again...!! I was going on vacation. So, as soon as I came back (almost 2 weeks after the initial color application) I went there to show the saloon staff what happened. I was told to make an appointment , talk to the manager and come back for fixing it. I did everything. I drove there again. It takes me half an hour to get there; so I drove an hour total back and forth. And guess what, they told me they will charge me for the coloring again. Too much confusion among the staff members. The hair stylist who initially did hair color wasn't there; and no one else would get it fixed cause apparently they will not get paid for it. And they told me everything once I get there; not over the phone- I called twice before getting there. Manager is so unsupportive. Did not even apologize once.
