Yikes! Other day I checked in online and drove over. I was walking in the door and before 1 foot crossed the threshold the girl from the back left chair who was cutting someone's hair yelled at me, "we are booked for the reset of the day". I said, "oh, I have an appointment" and she immediately said "no you don't". Uhhhh, what?!? There are about 7 people including other customers in the salon all who are now staring at me... so I said "I checked in online, would you like my name?" and she said "no we are booked!" It was so rude and embarrassing that I said "you know what, I did have an appointment but I will just go somewhere else, thanks". She rolled her eyes and went back to work. I went to the Maui Mall Super Cuts and had a really welcoming and nice visit. I live a few blocks from the Maui Lani location but after this interaction I will certainly being driving across town to the Maui Mall location, they mo' bettah for sure. read more

Brought my kids in on rainy Sunday afternoon to get a haircut and a trim. It was the first time for my 5 year old and second trip to the hair salon for my 6 year old. Kim took care of both of them and was amazing. There was no wait and if you go to the Supercut's website you can have a coupon emailed to you. We took off 2-3 inches of length from my 5 year old and just a trim to get rid of the split ends and even out length for my 6 year old. For straight forward hairstyles, their cuts came out fine. Just some feedback for corporate, they may want to have a kid's haircut price or hair trim price. Right now the adult haircut is what is advertised. Whether you do a trim or cut off 10 inches and request for a style it's the same price. Other than that, we'll be back in a few months and will request for Kim again. Thanks! read more

I went to Supercuts at Maui Lani to buy hair products and saw Jay cutting a client's hair. I could see that she took extra care in cutting their hair. I told my son we're going to see Jay for a haircut. He was reluctant, but agreed to try again. I showed her a picture and she asked him a few questions then started. I've been to this Supercuts a couple of times for easy, inexpensive haircuts for my young boys. On Sunday, July 28th, I checked the website and noted a zero-minute wait time at this Supercuts, so we drove down to get a haircut for my five-year-old. As we were walking in the door, one woman stood toward the back of the salon, arms crossed, and told me, "We're closed." I looked at my watch-- it was 4:23 PM. I commented, "But you're open until 5:00." "We're booked," she replied, still not moving from where she was standing. Then, another lady appeared and said, "We have people coming in." I was a little incredulous, and told them that I double-checked the wait time online before I came down. At first, they expressed their disbelief that it was zero minutes, but then I was told by the second lady that that system didn't "connect" with their store, because it was "back East." Nobody offered to let us wait in case of a no-show, or even gave us an apology. After I got my sons back in the car, I idled in the parking lot for about ten minutes longer out of curiosity, and saw nobody come to the shop. This was absolutely appalling customer service, and I will not be returning. read more

At 2:55p I called to see if there was a 4:00p appointment open. The lady said if we can come in half hour 3:30p. I said he's is loading the truck. She said come half hour then. I said ok, what is your name and she hung up. Never asked for my name. We arrived at 3:28p and 2 ladies was cutting hair in 2 men. They asked if I had an appointment, I said no because you said to come down in half hour. They tell us we must have called the wrong place. So I get my phone and go to my recents and recall, their phone starts to ring and they giggle. What the fuck!? Then they tell oh well let's get your name and if you can wait till we finish. Worst haircut I have ever had. First she asked me when was my last haircut, I said about 5 weeks and she said "5 years?" Then she asked how I want my haircut and I told her that I usually get a #4 on top and a #2 on the sides. She used the #2 on top and nearly shaved the sides. I've been to this Supercuts about 6 times and I never had the same person twice. I haven't even seen the same person in the shop. I won't be back. read more

I was referred here by a coworker, and I am so happy I took a chance! I'm really skeptical about taking my son to anyone for a haircut and was so sad when his hair stylist moved because finding a great stylist is difficult. I set an appointment for my son at 2pm., when we arrived we were greeted right away. There were 3 stylists at the time and all were busy. Our wait was about 15 minutes, but we didn't mind. I absolutely love Jay! I got my hair cut by her last Thursday 9/13/19. She is an amazing stylist, the fact that she listened and knew what I wanted was amazing and she's from northern Cali as well that even made the experience 10 times better. We talked about Home and how different it was here all while she's cutting my hair and doing an amazing job! I found my go to person after 5 years on Maui! I hope she doesn't leave anytime soon! Went in today to get my 3 year old son's hair cut. It shows wait time and let's you get on the waitlist. My husband has gone to Cinnamon before so we were lucky she was working today. She was super sweet and really great with my son. She worked around his movements and casually talked to him unlike others who want kids to stay still and look forward the whole time. I would definitely recommend going here. The space was nice and clean and the other stylist there was also friendly. We'll be back for sure! read more

Wow! Door locked @ 6:45pm (they're open til 7pm) and saw the hair stylist standing near the door. I recognized her (Jaime)and thought she did a great job the last time I had her, so I knocked to ask when she would be back to work later on in the week so I would come back. She would not open the door, gave the hand slice across her throat sign, mouthed 'we're closed!' while looking really annoyed and bothered. She then turned her back, walked away and pretended to answer a call on her phone. Absolutely rude and poor customer service! I've tried to give this Supercuts a chance but this was deplorable. There's a high turnover and this stylist had such poor customer service. This clearly is NOT the way to treat customers here on Maui as I know she just started her job here from Oregon. Jaime needs a good lesson from her manager Kim on how to deal with customers during the posted normal business hours. read more

I'm not sure what place the rest of these reviewers went to, but we've gotten neutral to bad customer service at this establishment. There's usually only 1 stylist working at any given time. It's almost always at MINIMUM, a 2 hour wait for a haircut. We've called or come by to make an appt and when we come back BEFORE our appointed time, we NEVER get our haircut AT that time. The stylist almost ALWAYS has a whole bunch of other people lined up that go ahead of us. We show up before our appointment time. Are ALL of these other people just late?? Or are these stylists SO overwhelmed with clients that they run 45 mins late all day long?? Why aren't there more stylists there? There are what..?...9 chairs, but only 1 stylist??? After multiple visits like this, the last being this past Sunday afternoon, we're all done with Supercuts. We won't be back. read more

The staff don't pay much attention to what kind of haircut you're requesting even if you show them a video (made by their former corporate trainer Misty) on phone showing them exactly how to cut your hair! Customer service was great. Stylist was hilarious! I didn't get his name but he sure made my day. We laughed the whole time. All the other employees were very friendly and welcoming as well. First time here. They earned my 5 stars. Awesome blend of customer service and hair cutting skills. Better experience than I get back home on the East Coast, USA. My kind hairstylist was Cinnamon. She was super courteous and gracious, super professional, and cut my hair exactly as I described -- with natural expertise and understanding. Would definitely come back again and would recommend to my friends and Ohana for sure. Full disclosure, I passed by a day earlier and there was a waiting list out the door, already four customers deep, so I came back the following day. I called ahead to secure a time range and was welcomed for my haircut as soon as I arrived with minimal delays. Before cutting they made sure they repeated back what I was asking for. Once done, they made sure I was satisfied with my haircut -- which obviously I was. You can pay for a haircut anywhere. Every time I go to a supercuts the results are always disappointing. I walk out with a bad haircut. Really, in a pinch I will go to supercuts because they except walk-ins, but by the time I leave I remember why I don't like going there. This time was no exception. I just wanted a little fade on the sides, and even on the top. Simple right? Well, once I got home I realized that the top was all different lengths, I still had some really long hair around my ears, and the back of my hair by my neck was really crooked. I went back to have her fix the back, and she was nice enough to fix it, but it took her a few times though of me telling her that it is still not straight. I don't feel like the name of the lady is important, because no matter who I go to at any given supercuts, the results are usually about the same. I do not recommend this place. read more

I have never been to Supercuts before myself but I've taken my children there many times in the past. Cory did a great job! My cut came out really cute and the conversation was great and he made me feel really comfortable throughout my service. The only thing was I only had an hour break and I ended up being there for a total of one and a half hours. Because I was on my lunch break, I was 30 min late returning to work. Cory did take his time to be sure everything was straight, and I really appreciate that. To his defense, I did not mention I was on my lunch break until my work started calling me. At that point, he asked if I was on my lunch break and so he asked his coworker Jay to finish up my facial framing. And again, I really appreciated that too. He's been a men's barber all his life and only in the last few months had starting doing women's cuts. Being in the industry, I know that you just need to get your hands on more people, so I can see Cory being an amazing women's stylist in the near future. When I walked in I noticed there was only 1 person working. I called & scheduled an appointment in the morning for 3pm. All I needed was a simple eyebrow wax. Showed up, waited for the lady to come greet me. When she asked if I had an appointment I said yes, for an eyebrow wax. It was then she told me that the person who does waxing has gone home early. They failed to contact me. I wasted all my time driving there, just for them to tell me there wax person wasnt there. Mind you, it was my daughters 1st birthday... I had to find someone last minute & luckily I did. Never again am I going there even if it's the last place on earth. OKAY. Let me just start off with I came to this place and had an appointment for 10. So I called ahead and told them the ages of my kids and everything. So I wait 45 minutes past 10 to finish the haircut before. I understand, whatever. So I put my first child on the seat and he fusses because he had to wait and so I'm turning on the phone for the child to sit still and before I could even turn the phone on she tells me she doesn't want to do a child that young. Telling me she's had a bad experience cutting kids hair and bending her finger backwards. Why not tell me when I make the appointment or 45 minutes before when I walk in and have to listen to you talk to your client before about how brave you have to be to cut hair but you can't even cut a child's hair.
