I hate planning my days off around appointments. Decided to check in online and zip over to Supercuts in between chores. I only had to wait a few minutes, which was great! Make sure you check in to the right Supercuts location. Someone else walked in and was told his check in wasn't in the system. I get impatient in the chair. I liked having my hair spritzed instead of shampooed, because I was going to go for a run after, then shower. Plus, the wind was howling outside, so a style would have been silly. I got the trim I needed, with special attention to texturing my ends which get annoyingly chunky. I mentioned this to the gal (shame on me, I don't remember her name) and she knew exactly what I meant. I know for sure that I will be getting trims more often than I have in the past because it was so easy and inexpensive. I am very satisfied with my experience here! read more

I had a great experience here yesterday. I called 30 minutes before they closed to see if someone would be able to give me a haircut. The manager told me they would take care of me and Matt who cut my hair certainly did. He was so friendly, he understood my needs and concerns and was very genuine. I told him I was sensitive to the thinning spot on my head and made a suggestion to the type of haircut. I valued that a great deal. He made great conversation and even suggested some products, it wasn't just to make me spend more money, but fully explained why I should consider it. I had my interview and I have him to thank for making my cut sophisticated and gave me pointers to create a polished look. I highly recommend. For 20 years I saw the same stylist at a Santa Barbara salon. When that stylist got injured and was out for three months I had no choice but to go to another salon. I was scared but conjured up the nerve to check other places. Didn't want to waste a lot of money with stylist I never tried so I decided to try supercuts. I found a stylist there named Anna N. To my surprise she cut my hair just as good if not better than the fancy salon i was going to for many years. At half the price i had found a gem. Anna N not only gave me a great cut but she also had a great personality and made me feel comfortable. After a couple of years I am still getting great cuts from Anna N and have actually switched a friend over to her as well. She did such an amazing job with my haircut. She listened to everything I wanted, and made sure it was what I liked before she started cutting. Went in for a trim and told the girl who cut my hair that I have a lot of hair and it's already layered but I'm trying to even them out and grow out my hair. She did an awesome job listening to what I want but recommended some things opposite of what I asked because it would work better for what I was trying to achieve. I agreed and I was in and out in about 20 minutes max. Plus the hot towel at the end that's infused with essential oils is super nice. I'd love to have had it on for a few minutes longer! Philip sat me down, asked what I wanted and went to work, while holding an interesting conversation. He is a master at his craft and is savvy conversationally. This place bites. Stopped by a few different days/times and they were always "too busy to take me." So I finally remembered to call in advance today: called around 2:30, made an appointment for 6, got there, was told there was no record of such an appointment and (of course) they couldn't fit me in. I go to supercuts because they are convenient and this one has been anything but. And to tell me they can't take me when I actually made an appointment this time really ticked me off. What the hell is the point of opening a branch if you never have it properly staffed (seems they haven't improved in the 3 months since Frank's review)? I'm so over it, I decided I'd rather pay much more at a full service salon (even though all I need is a trim) than waste anymore of my time or give business to this sad excuse of a "salon." read more

Do not go to the middle aged white women to get your hair cut at this salon, they will completely destroy your hair. Yesterday one of them cut off all of my hair from my head when I specifically requested a certain haircut and told them I only wanted an inch off of the length. They are very rude too when you tell them about their mistakes and I did so veery peacefully and respectfully. I am extremely ashamed for the way this place made me feel the last 2 times I have gone in for a haircut. Last time I went I had an appointment and even then they prioritize the walk-ins over me. I simply asked if it matters that we make an appointment since the walking got priority and the explanation was irrelevant saying that they are never sure if the appointment will show up so they take the person that comes in first, even though I did show up!? Then today I went in and the girl with short reddish/purple hair "the same one I asked the question to the last time" was there and asked me to come back in an hr. Because she was alone. I was fine with doing that so I left but returned 10 min later since it was too hot to wait outside. She pretty much told me I came back too early and I just told her it was too hot outside so I was just going to wait inside. She looked bothered by that and so I asked if it was okay with her for me to wait there and that I was fine doing so since they have made me wait there for an hr even with an appointment (I SHOULD HAVE NEVER ASKED!) she got so offended and told me that if she went somewhere and they made her wait that long she wouldn't return... then proceeded to tell me that there where other salons that would take me quicker. I let her know I was fine and didn't mind waiting and I wasn't rushing her so take her time. But she insisted there where other places and that she wouldn't wait that long if it was her. I just asked her if she was telling me to leave and she got so fired up saying she didn't know what my issue was and that she needed me to leave because she wasn't feeling comfortable anymore. I was confused why she was acting that way when I just asked her a simple question?! She then said she would call the cops(over a question, I did nothing wrong, just wanted to make sure it was okay to wait there). She called her manager (Jennifer Ots) and her manager hung up on me when I asked for the employees name to give my review. I felt so mistreated. They are super unprofessional, rude and racist! I gave my apologies and hoped for one back as grown adults and she got even more rude when I asked for even that. I apologize for asking a question. Maybe she was having a bad day but that still doesn't make it right to treat others terribly as if they are less then her for simply asking questions. I asked if she could trim my daughters bangs she said no because she had an appointment in 5 minutes. I was so excited to try this new supercut salon and in the end, I was so disappointed. I'm not as picky but I sure was after I cut my hair here. All I asked for was long layers and the back of my hair was so choppy. The lady who cut my hair literally combed my hair up and chopped it off. My layers didn't even flow and it was obvious that she took the scissors and chopped my hair straight! I couldn't tell what my layers looked like because my hair was wet. I came out of the salon, looking like I just showered. Very disappointed. I will not return. I've had great experiences at supercuts before, but this time, I'm utterly disappointed. My cut was $15 dollars and I even tipped them! I would've paid more if I knew they were going to do a crappy job. My boyfriend just got his hair cut here and I have to say, I'm impressed! He is very picky about how his hair is and who cuts it, so for him to say that he loves it is HUGE! We showed the girl a picture of the hairstyle he wanted and she did it perfectly. She cut his hair the way HE wanted it. Not the way she thought would look good for him. Last 4 times called was told they are "booked for the day". This has occurred at 4pm, 3:45pm, and 4:15pm most recently. There are routinely only 1 or 2 stylists there. They close at 7pm. How can yoy be booked for the day at a Supercuts 3 hours before closing? I will go elsewhere. read more

He started to curse up a storm saying the "f" word and was slamming things and being very unprofessional. Before I explain my five star rating, I have to say that I have had many excellent stylists work on my hair at other Supercuts salons and been very pleased. However, I went to Hollister Village Supercuts expressly to have Phillip cut my hair. He is an excellent stylist who not only hears what you want; he works with you throughout the process to make sure you are getting the haircut you want. For many years, I have wanted to try a buzz cut and Phillip did a stunning job of leaving some feminie fluff on the top, and my buzz cut on the back and sides of my hair. I was an amazed and delighted 74 year old, who is just loving the compliments. read more

I've been to this location 5 times, but only had my hair cut here once. Every time I'd walk in I'm told "we don't have any more appointments for the day" though the app and website say there is a zero minute wait. They're also pretty curt when telling me they don't have time to deal with a walk in. Funny thing is there is usually just one person cutting and two or three others milling about with no one waiting. This SuperCuts doesn't seem to have good staffing or customer service skills. Not once did they even try to schedule me on another day. I finally went down the road to the Goodland Barber Shop. It was PACKED yet I waited less than 15 minutes and they did an amazing job. Waste of time - I have been visiting Supercuts at various locations from a long time now but today I had the worst experience. Called in for an appointment and finally got one for 2pm. When I visited the store at my appointment time, I was told there are no records for it and they were telling me that I might have called the other Supercuts. I asked the lady at the front desk what's their phone number so that I can make her believe that I called them and not the other store. After showing her the call log, she started apologising and told me to wait for 30mins as they are busy. What an unprofessional staff.. First - They don't pay attention while taking calls and second - instead of accepting of apologising their mistake, they try to run away from it...Very Disappointing for me and probably its time for me to find a new salon for the next time... read more

I used to frequent this Supercuts many times when it first opened and I have to say the experience is completely varying each time. Some days my haircut would be perfect as I want it and some days it would be completely off. Needless to say, the people working here are extremely nice and conversational, although I dislike the cuts that I got, their customer service is very good. read more
