After getting the worst hair trim at Mena's Salon, I decided to go to Supercuts. I walked in distraught and just started crying uncontrollably! Erica helped me pull it together and totally understood my mini breakdown. She got me some water and we both got on the internet to look for a new haircut. Qiana did a remarkable job on my wiry rebellious hair. She shaped it so that it laid down, disarming my spiky cowlicks and obstinate forehead wave. I was very pleased with the finished product. As always, the haircut was quick and the conversation with Qiana was enjoyable. She trimmed my bushy eyebrows, which I always forget to ask for. The warm towel was an unexpected plus. Her cutting was so neatly done that I had almost no cut hair on my clothes afterward, which was a real plus not having that itchy irritation on my neck to deal with. After visiting three different hair stylists in the Chicago area, I think I may have found the one for me. I was not expecting much from a Supercuts, but the hair stylist that had helped me when a different salon butchered my hair back in early November. I should have just gone back to her, but I tried two other salons near me and one cut more hair off which made my bangs stick up permanently unless I used a product to keep them down, and the other barely trimmed my hair. I have written down what my stylist from Seattle did for me in the past, and none of the previous stylists followed the instructions. They chose varying shades of the color (ok I understand that it's always trial and error in the beginning) but they didn't follow the method of application to make sure my grow-out was the same color as the rest of my hair. Jackie is the only one who listened, and since she did my hair turned out the way I wanted. Thank you Jackie for not thinking I am trying to make you do rocket science! Jackie asked me exactly what I wanted and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my hair. For background, I get my hair dyed a red-violet color. I've been doing this color for over ten years. When you use only one shade on all of my hair, this turns my blonde roots bright red, while the rest of my hair will be dark red. Jackie made sure to apply a color specifically to my roots and specifically to the rest of my hair. Thank you Jackie for listening to me and paying attention! I plan on coming back. read more

I've been going here off and on for years. I have had my best haircut/color and my WORST haircut here, my worst cut was my last cut. My best cuts were from stylist's no longer there. I've waited 6 weeks before posting this review as I was hoping my hair would grow out better, its only gotten worse. Note, deep conditioning is expensive, so if offered ask about cost, same goes for blow drying. Decent product line, friendly staff, easy online appointment page, and once there wait time appears average. I may go back but not to the stylist that gave me such a horrible cut. read more

Kim was a good manager. Poor management skills by the owners. New Owners Should meet with their managers and advise of their expectations. Owners should back their managers. Worst experience ever. This person jacked my son's Mohawk up and all she had to do was clean up his side's and line him up. First thing she asks me was what number does he use. (We should have walked out then) I said YOUR THE BARBER!! She should have known but she didn't. Ended up cutting him damn near bald on the sides instead of fading the sides and the lining was TERRIBLE. Uneven. My son was DEVASTATED! Crying in the car the entire way home. I asked her over the phone if she knew how to clean up a Mohawk before we came. Maybe I should have told her he was a lil African American boy cause SHE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO CUT HIS HAIR. JACKIE! I'm still unsure how I feel about this experience. We came here for a kids haircut. I was pleased it was probably one of the fastest haircut we've gotten. Unfortunately the next day when hair was washed, it looked chopped up and uneven. I was very clear on what I wanted and for 15 dollars and speed I couldn't complained when I was there plus she put a product that made the haircut seemed decent. I will never come back here. 11/9 I was able to schedule a cut online to save a space. I got there early and was able to walk in, and get the haircut without a long wait

#HAIRFAIL. This was my first time ever going to any SuperCuts location. Their website seems to only allow same day online Check In for haircuts and I needed highlights- so I called my closest salon to book for the next day. A woman named Kim answered, she was friendly and booked me with Jackie. I arrived 10 minutes early and was greeted by another friendly woman- 2 women were working, both had clients. I told her I had an 11am appt, she said OK and to take a seat. Around 11:10, the woman who turned out to be Jackie finished her client. I had overheard her complaining and making fun of a previous client who had cried about how her hair had turned out. (reflection on you- not the client btw) Jackie then walked with her current client and said to the man who was waiting for her "your hot girlfriend is ready! If you don't like her haircut, I add lice." Hmm. Awkward laugh by all. She then went back to her station and I heard the woman who greeted me say "that woman said she has an 11am appointment". (ME) A man walked in just then 11:20ish and he goes to the counter. Jackie comes back and greets him and he goes to her chair. It is clear that he is getting his hair cut- so I ask who is handling my 11am highlight appointment? Jackie then tells me that he was here the whole time but in his car. What? Not sure what that even means. No apologies, no professionalism, no trying to right a wrong. First and last SuperCuts visit for me. Lesson learned. read more

Most terrifying hair experience of my life. Not only did the stylist here completely ruin my hair, she told me that I was the one who told her to do it in that manner. When I asked her if she could fix it, she told me that I needed to HURRY UP because there were other customers waiting. At this point in time, I was pretty sure she was going to take the razor and just shave me bald so she wouldn't have to deal with me. Awful customer service and honestly I hope that my one poor experience with that stylist is not indicative of the other stylists here. If you do decide to come here as a cheaper option haircut, be prepared to get what you pay for. read more

Have been getting my haircuts from Fanny for about 5 months now and have super pleased with cuts and service. I have never made an appointment and have always been taken immediately. Note, that I return to keep my short haircut properly shaped. The entire staff are always very friendly and I believe the customer service to rival top salons I've used when I lived downtown. read more
