LoAnn and Zori cut my hair and both do excellent cuts at a good price. LoAnn has been cutting my hair but she gets very busy and Zori cut my hair, comb over scissors, very well. There are four barber hair stylist in my family stating back from my grandfather from Genoa, Italy to my cousin with a famous salon in Manhattan, another in Vegas and I say that both Zori and LoAnn are excellent barber/hair stylist. I never go to Supercuts and I never will again . I had LoAnne TRIM my hair . She cut about half an inch off the back and showed me for a verbal okay. I had asked her to lightly blend my curls. I've been going here for my haircut and my boys for probably 10 years. I cannot say enough of how pleased I've always been with every cut. Lo Ann is the absolute best! I have been using Supercuts for over a decade in several states, and generally had great experiences; however, my last trip to the Blackhawk Supercuts was very disappointing: my wife noticed a sign that said they accept competitors coupons, when we presented it, they rudely informed us that the coupon is from a different chain. I explained our reasoning and they said no, so I pointed to the sign in the window and the response was "yeah, but we don't do that". I suggested they take down the sign if they don't wish to comply with it, and they effectively refused to acknowledge the contradiction. Of course, Dennis wasn't there and his co-worker stylist had to do the fix for me, which cost me an additional $10 (the same amount of tip I gave Dennis) to her, which I gladly paid because of her excellent costomer service that day and from my previous experiences with her. After paying Blackhawk and Danville prices at other establishments for what often was a mediocre cut I tried this Supercuts and found out that you can find great talent at a fair price. This SuperCuts is the only shop that I go to. All the personnel are really good and I've been going there for years. LoAnn is superbly consistent and of such good nature. To clean up the cut hair fall off the hot towel is a nice finish. Discounts on shampoos and conditioners are an extra bonus. read more

My son was in an urgent need of a hair cut and even though I read those mixed reviews I thought a 3 year old will survive a bad hair cut. The great things first: they are very friendly and nice. They took us in very fast. She really listened to what I wanted in my son's hair cut but then she decided to cut his bangs straight which made him have a typical bowl cut. Something your mom would do if you get your hair cut at home. Next time I really need to be very specific about his bangs. I'm also surprised that they charge full price for a kids hair cut. Anywhere else I paid 13$ here you pay 18$. Until I find a better place I guess I will come back but be very sure not to give him a bowl cut! read more

I will not frequent this place ever. I walked in and the guy Yung was going to cut my hair. I sat in the chair and described what hairstyle i wanted. Well long story short, Yung said that if i could not describe exactly what i wanted that he couldn't cut my hair. Well, i went across the street to Hair masters just like another reviewer did and had Tammy cut my hair for me. By the way, Yung, what i was describing was an "A-cut". Not too hard to do since my hair had remnants of this style from another barber in your establishment. because of the non creativity and rudeness of this guy, I will not frequent this establishment with my family. Kate cut my hair short from my mid-length hair last week. Somehow, Kate found it justified to charge me $27 instead of $20 without washing my hair or blowdrying it. UGGGH -- what is that? I was SO disappointed. I would have left a $0 tip, but I think I was in shock. I went in there last week as I've done a 100 times before to get a haircut. Michelle use to always cut my hair and now I know why (please come back!). I had a lady that had a strong accent and smelled like she just smoked a pack of cigs. She asked how I wanted my hair cut and I told her the same thing I told everyone else, a 2 on the sides and back and a 4 on the top (both metal guards) and then evened out on the sides. It was like pulling teeth, she had no idea what she was doing, she was using a plastic guard, she said they don't make a 4 metal guard. I told her I've been coming in here for years, ask one of your co-workers to borrow there's and she said they don't have any. A co-worker walked up at the end and said we have plenty of 4 metal guards. I was so over this place and will never go back! read more

I read Bill of Danville's review. I was shocked why he thought SONNY was the best. I called for an appointment, SONNY agreed to see me last minute. I waited for 10 minutes. When it was finally my turn his mind was obviously not there. He was totally distracted, literally running around, and he finally said he had to do everything fast because he said he is going to the city. I thought, that was not a good sign, I feared that I might get a terrible service. Boy was I right. He was practically pulling my hair, no excuse mes no I am sorrys. I didn't know how to react because I am not very used to such terrible behavior and service - especially in DANVILLE. He dyed my hair, and left me for almost an hour. I watched him did more terrible and RUSHED services to those poor 4 other customers. The guy behind me looked very nervous and confused because Sonny who Bill thought was the best, was cutting his hair like crazy. He finally came back and asked me to stand up to rinse my hair. My face literally got wet. Yes, imagine that. I did not feel he was trying to be careful with me. All he did was rush whatever he was doing. To make things worse, he LITERALLY pushed my back to stand up from the chair. Really? I didn't know why I managed to be calm still after that - I guess it was a Saturday and all I want is to slow down and relax. He then placed my head over this dome-y thing without explaining what is it for. After 20minutes I was EXPECTING to get a blow dry. Guess what he said. "Oh no, I am sorry I don't have time anymore." Are you kidding me? That was the end of my suppossedly calm Saturday. I finally said, "This was the WORST SERVICE I had, you were literally pushing me around, and you are accepting customers more than what you can handle. FYI: YANG and the rest of the crew, I have nothing but good praises for them. This SONNY though, will get a notice from the HQ because I will make sure he will not treat any customers the way he treated me and those 4 other men he took after me. My husband goes there too and gets his hair cut from David, and now doesn't go to anyone else. He is immaculately attentive to his art and gave me the best haircut I've had in 3 years. I will certainly return. It was $17 and I tipped him four bucks. Convenient, generally no wait, especially if you go late in the day on a week day, open later than the competition and for the price, you cannot beat the quality of the haircuts! Yung is great, others are good too including Sophy are good too. If you go when they are busy, just put in your name and walk to one of the nearby food establishments (I like the yogurt shop two doors down or Starbucks) and hang out until your name comes up. If you want to be pampered and need a designer to help you make up your mind about how you want to look ( like two of the other reviewers), this is most likely not the place for you. The staff was generous, multiple times offered to entertain my son, cut my hair quickly and I was done very soon. The fee was fair and the studio was nice, modern and clean. They take the time to do your hair right - even for those of us who are "folicly challenged". What impresses me most about this store is how well the staff gets along with one another. I wanted someone with creativity, who could suggest to me the possibilities of my first professional haircut. I did not find that here. The guy kept telling me "if you don't know what you want, then I can't help you." He was rude, abrupt, and unhelpful. I left without getting my hair cut here. I didn't feel he cared. I went across the street to Hair Masters and was treated very well by two sympathetic ladies. I was serviced by Tammy, who helped me find a style for my short, thick hair. She listened to what I needed and suggested two cuts for me, which she verbally tweaked to suit my hair before having me choose one. I was very happy here. I will only be going here from now on. Full of people who DONT know how to cut hair. They mess up even a simple lineup! One more negative fact is that they charge $9 for a simple neck trim whereas the expensive salon across the street trimmed my neck for free.
