I'm not going to name the stylist because she was very sweet and kind throughout this experience. On 10/14 I spent over $200 for a service I did not receive. I came into the salon as a professionally colored brunette with some roots showing. After a consultation with my stylist, we agreed to touch up my roots and add lighter pieces up to my roots and the majority of my lower hair for a full balayage with a natural grow out look. After my next shower and straightening my hair, I realized that my roots had NO color, there were harsh horizontal lines all over my head, and a large section of the hair on the back of my head had NO color. I emailed the salon requesting a refund. In response, I received an Instagram message from the stylist offering color correction at no charge. I kindly denied not wanting to risk the health of my hair with lightener and bleach more, in addition to not feeling comfortable with the quality of service I would receive and having to find child care for over 4 hours again or take off time from work. She said she would let the owner know my decision. I emailed the salon 3 more times after that with no response. I messaged the stylist again on Instagram requesting that the owner call me by end of day or I would come to the salon in person to resolve this. The owner called me 11/1 and she was MEAN. She told me that my poor result was my fault after needing so much color correction in the first place... I simply had an even brown hair color..? The color correction I need is because of the terrible service I received at her establishment.. She told me they don't offer refunds, and became very defensive when I calmly mentioned my concerns about not wanting to further risk the health of my hair or get childcare for 4+ hours again. Her response to that was that she has been in the business for over 20 years and has never had a balayage take less than 4 hours. Okay, fair.. I just was explaining why I would prefer not coming back and time was one of many reasons. I asked 3 times why she didn't reply to my emails and it took her over 2 weeks to finally respond with this phone call. She eventually said that she was "busy doing business things yesterday". That call ended with me in tears. I just wanted my concerns to be noted, not to be belittled by the owner. Photos are what I asked for and agreed with the stylist on doing at the consultation vs what I received.
