I explained to the lady at the register that I needed some one that can cut my natural hair and that it was my first time there. She paired me with Yoshicka and she was AMAZING! Nice and friendly. I explained to her what was going on with my hair and then she let me know what I needed to do. I agreed and she delivered! I am in love with my hair cut. Made a reservation online and check then once I got to the location. I was there to see a particular stylist but they had an appointment ran long, so they recommended that I go with someone else to avoid a wait. I was hesitant at first because as a black man I wasn't sure if they would be able to handle my hair, but I was assured that this other stylist was a fade master, haha. Turns out she was and my haircut came out great. All in all I was in there less than 40 minutes between my brief wait and getting my low fade haircut finished, so I wasn't disappoint with that. I went in for a haircut the lady didn't know what the style I wanted was.i showed her a pic and she hacked at the ends and didn't even cut it to the length I wanted. If i could give this place a 0 I would. I went in for layers, specifically told the lady i wanted to keep my length and she said okay. I quickly realized she cut off way more than I wanted & told her i didn't want it short and she said she had to cut bc my hair was too damaged. She cut my hair way more than I wanted and kept telling me she needed to do so. I was the one paying for the service so idk why she took the initiative to cut off my hair. CAROLINE is excellent! I have been visiting this salon for more than ten years. I used to go with the first available stylist when I visited. On one visit, I had the pleasure of Caroline being the lady that cut my hair. I have been seeking her ever since then. I am always willing to wait for her to become available. Recently, Caroline had relocated to a different salon. I was able to find her working at another Supercuts located on the other side of the city, Coppell/Las Colinas area. I was willing to make the trek to see her, as her skills are well worth it. I have now learned that CAROLINE has returned to the Cedar Hill salon. I am so thankful that she is back there! They do not listen to your request as a client and go against what you want because they feel as if they have the initiative as a "stylist". Some of these ladies should have their license taken. The haircut my friend received was horrific. She should not have to go the extra mile to put in extensions because it was cut too short when she asked the stylist to keep the length. It's is ridiculous and upsetting for someone to go against what you want as you are paying them to do what YOU have asked for. I do not recommend coming here if you really want your hair done and styled how YOU as the client asked for. Get your moneys worth elsewhere! You are supposed to walk out a salon happy with the product not heartbroken. Unfortunately I am unable to give it 0 star rating. read more

The category 'barber shop' is rather erroneous, as women can get their hair cut here, too. I used to loathe having my hair cut because it is unruly as it is, and having someone else work with it just wasn't my idea of fun. Now I actually look forward to going. Most specifically, they have a stylist by the name of Carrie who is a "shear" genius! She is friendly and accomodating and most importantly, knowledgeable, about hair design, and is a well-kept secret. I pray some pretentious high-end salon does not snag her up, because at $12.95 a pop, her services are a real steal because she can work wonders with hair. At least, she has with mine. I can't vouch for any of the other stylists, except for the fact that they are not so friendly when you walk in the door. But Carrie is certainly a God-send and very popular, too. It is recommendable that you call ahead to put your name on the list to be seen by her when you go, otherwise, the wait could be lengthy. read more

When I arrived 2 girls one cutting hair the other asked me for my name I said I have signed in online but she didn't call my name she called another guy that just came up not checked in and she took him. my husband usually takes both my boys to get their haircut at this location with pinky she has been cutting their hair for a while now and she's great! first time personally taking my boys to get their haircuts a day before picture day. i walked in and pinky was not in but i was surprise that the rest of the satff recognized and knew my sons by their name. one of my sons is autistic and shantelle was the one who took him on her chair i was taken away by patience and care she had with him. then of course my son had a hard time sitting still and then came mr. jack to assist her they both took their time to make sure he had the haircut i was paying for. its hard finding a place you can trust. thank you super cut staff!!! read more

It's no salon but if you are looking for a great cut, they can handle it. My daughter and I have been going to this Supercuts since 2005. We have tried others in the area that provide similar service but have not been pleased with the level of precision these guys have when cutting hair. I have gone from long to short to short to long and no matter the cut when i get home to style it, it always looks awesome! Stylist come and go but i go in and tell them what i want by having a picture available and they have been very successful in helping me achieve my desire look. I'm always satisfied with the cuts I get here. I have somewhat long hair that extends to my bra strap. I dread being one the ladies that I see that are hanging onto thin, see-through split ends, so I pay Supercuts a visit frequently. Caroline was my favorite up until last week when a new lady by the name of Katie gave me a true SUPER cut. My ends look and feel fabulous. She cut just the right amount to restore a healthy look and swing to my hair. Now, I'll always ask for Katie. Caroline is really good and worthy of your trust as well! Carrie....stay away. She chopped my bangs off late one evening and they were horrible! I requested long side swept bangs. She gave me side part, grabbed the front section of my hair and cut them straight across...no blending, no technique, no point cutting...nothing! I walked out looking like I had a late 80's early 90's asymmetric cut gone really bad. Prior to that she always trimmed my hair well, but would always take off an inch more than I requested. Since it still looked good, i never faulted her for it ....until the bangs debacle. She should be ashamed. Again, stay away from Carrie! read more

4 stars this place, everyone else takes their time on your hair, blending well and over all caring what people walk out with, however, there's this Mexican lady who works there who is short and wears glasses who's a little bit big. Anyways, she doesn't blend well. Not sure why nobody has made this an issue, I think she's lazy. I'm sad b/c I lost my receipt which listed my hairdresser's name. She gave my hair an amazing shiny bling and a lift AND I wanted to write a good review of her. Anyway, hopefully there is only one of her at this location and if anyone reads this and knows who she is give her a shout out. Anyway, I walked in ready for my red head to get a fresh and shiny look as well as hair a new shape. She did it and man, busted it out of the water. So, the red color my former hair dresser used (she had to move back to Detroit - shout out to Dakota!) was a special concoction just by her and I had no idea what she did...what product line or anything. All I knew was it was amazing. So, Cedar Hill Supercuts it is for me. The reds my hairdresser at this Supercuts chose well..she says she mixed two different reds and then after processing she gave me some well placed subtle highlights! Amazing! So, this hairdresser also made my day b/c she was real, positive, clear, creative, an artist in every right and pretty funny. I think her name starts with the letter "Y". She's African American, maybe 5'4" or so (I'm super short so it's kinda hard to tell height). Geeze, sorry I don't remember your name but I remember you and the craft you did on my hair is so amazing. I'll be back. Oh and the price, well, it's Supercuts so pretty reasonable! read more
