the manager at the supercuts in college drive is the worse professional hairdresser I've ever encountered in my life. I went in for a haircut with and I honestly dont think she wanted to cut my hair because I'm black. She was rude and dismissive and I will never go back. Each time I visit, I have been paired with a different stylist, which isn't bad and per my request. However, every stylist I have had has been outstanding over the years and locations. Today I had Paige. She was engaging, conversational, polite and professional. Additionally, she gave me a style as I instructed, then sought my opinion of her work, to guarantee my satisfaction. Overcharged; waited almost two hours. Only one stylist; just told me to sign in. Saw I was about 4th or 5th on the list, and there were 4 people in lobby. She seemed to be cutting pretty fast, so didn't worry about it. As other people came in, she told them it would be a lengthy wait. I was not extended that courtesy. So, an hour and 50 minutes of listening to loud gospel music and it was our turn. My daughter asked for a "bob cut". At the end, we were charged $25.95 instead of $19.95. When I asked why, I was told it was a "specialty cut". She left with wet hair. After it dried, you could see what a terrible cut it was in the back. It does not look bad from the front, but the back is very wonky. But we paid extra for that "specialty cut". I do not recommend this place. But if you want to listen to loud music for almost 2 hours and be overcharged, by all means, go. read more

VERY RUDE MANAGER LADY!! i went for a haircut last Friday at 1:30 - 1:40PM, signed in and waited my turn. i had an appointment a few blocks away to sign a document at 3PM. I though I'd have enough of time to get my haircut first. That didn't work out, so at 2:45PM, when i was next on the list, I realized I'd be late for my 3Pm appointment. I left to signed the paper and returned to Supercuts. My name was still on the list, so i sat and waited again. When a chair came open they called for someone else. I walked to the desk, pointed out my name on the list and said I'd been waiting the longest. The manager rudely said I'd have to go to the back of the line, since I'd left and came back. Until today, I was a fairly regular customer. Today I went in, and asked to have about half an inch of my hair trimmed off. By the time I realized he decided to cut almost all of it off, it was too late to salvage. Not that it mattered, he was too busy shoving his finger in my ear and singing along loudly to the song playing from his iphone for me to get a chance to say anything. They had already done a mediocre job on my fiancée's hair a couple of months ago, but I decided to give them one last chance. Won't be going back. read more

When I first walked into Supercuts today I was hoping to get a trim and even get some curtain bangs!! The stylists were so friendly and so nice I absolutely loved them but you can bet your ass I will not be returning to the Supercuts or any Supercuts ever. I spent $65 which included a shampoo, cut, blow dry and style. After my stylist finished blow drying my hair, she flat ironed it and curled my "bangs" but left the rest of my hair completely straight. Why?? Not really sure. I didn't say anything because it was already half an hour after they had closed, it looked pretty cute and I just wanted to get home. I tipped her $15 and when I got home, i flat ironed the curls and I was absolutely devastated. I did NOT get what I asked for AT ALL. Pics below. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in to get a haircut, which I have been doing for years. The person that cut my hair was not there. Instead, of one of the employees telling me my hair Styist was no longer working there, they just said she wasn't there. I made another trip for Lorraine C. to cut my hair, and a lady in the parking lot had seen Lorraine cutting my hair a couple of times were nice enough to tell me Lorraine is no longer working there. I live 40 miles from there. I was not only mad, but hurt. Lorraine has cut my hair for over 12 years and I refuse to let anyone at that location cut my hair, because they don't have the experience she has. I know for a fact Supercuts will lose customers and business will not be the same!!! Every single time I was there, people came in for Lorraine to cut their hair and waited for her no matter how many people was ahead. She was the best and Supercut lost the best! You all need to think about the customers feelings and how it will affect us! Your manager there is very unprofessional. I observe closely and how she get a title of manager I don't know. Guess it's all in who you know. I have met many that use to cut their hair cut there and I'm not the only that feels this way, but I believe in freedom of speech! I sure hope I find her to cut my hair because my family or I will not be coming back to Supercuts! Get together SUPERCUTS!!! read more

Haven't been to this one in years and I don't plan to unless I'm desperate and have no other choice. Usually, they're crowded, parking sucks and their attitudes suck. They act like they hate to see customers coming. One time in particular, the girl decided to chastise me when I explained to her how I wanted my hair. I'd gotten this style a few times and it turned out great, but she seemed pretty sure that it was not going to work for me and wasn't afraid to get a little loud and defensive about it. Sometimes it's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. Other customers were looking at her. Maybe she just wasn't secure in her ability to do it right and this was her excuse. Yep, that's probably it. She also told me to put my purse on the floor or in the other chair instead of holding it in my lap. It was a big purse but it wasn't my first time bringing it and I'd never been asked to do this before. But my favorite part about this visit was when she was done with me and acted completely different with the customer after me (a guy). She was all smiles, greeted him politely and even asked him how he was doing. It was like a completely different personality had emerged from this woman. They've butchered my hair a few times - not the girl I just talked about but other stylists. They were pretty good at blending it in so that I didn't notice it right away. I wouldn't notice until after I'd wash it. Anyway I just go to the O'Neal and Perkins/Essen locations now. They're much better than this one. Not as crowded and the stylists are much nicer. This has GOT to be the worst salon in the history of bad salons. Went the first time because I had a coupon for $10 off a color and she did a decent job and it was $70 out the door with tip and using the coupon--pretty pricey for a dirty, crappy salon like this, but my color was right and I had a wedding to go to and I wrote it off as no big deal. I went yesterday to have my roots touched up and to match a hairpiece I bought. You would have thought I was asking them to cure cancer AND give me their first born child. The stylist was so unsure of what she was doing and kept repeating how they "couldn't guarantee" the color and they charged me NINETY DOLLARS for the same service that was $70 a month ago. WTF??? They clearly don't do much color here, because she was terrified. Anyway, I know enough about salons and color than I figured I could fix it but it came out all right however these people are totally incompetent on running a salon. She tells me to put my purse on the HAIR COVERED floor--what?? My handbag is a Dooney Alto Vera and I am NOT ABOUT to place an EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLAR HANDBAG on a hair covered floor. Ever hear of a broom? You might get a little exercise and sweeping up the NASTY CUT HAIR ON THE FLOOR may not be the Jane Fonda workout but it's better than sitting around smoking. It was one of the worst salon experiences of my LIFE and I wasn't sure she had a clue what she was doing and I couldn't find her license posted ANYWHERE contrary to state law. No one should be that unprofessional and obviously they have no consistency on their pricing because this sure as hell wasn't a $90 job--and I know the difference. Don't go here--it's just as expensive as the fancier salons where you aren't expected to put your designer bag on the filthy hairy floor and they have SOME idea of what a salon experience is supposed to be unlike this place. Supercuts should change their name to super-screwed if this store is an example of the company--no wonder it was empty!! The color wasn't properly rinsed out of my hair because it bled ALL OVER MY pillow case, ruining an expensive set of 1000 thread count sheets. These people are barely competent--I've seen dog groomers who are better at hair cutting and a lot nicer too. This is a salon of "stylists" who are extremely unhappy with their jobs, the "salon" where they work and everything else in their lives and is shows in their attitudes and their work. I would NEVER go here again and suggest you don't either. They are wayyyyy overpriced, but they are so unprofessional and the salon is so dirty that I wouldn't go here again if it were FREE. I SURE didn't get what I paid for here, not by a LONG shot--and I paid top dollar.
