If you want to feel beautiful and pampered when you walk out of a salon (what woman doesn't?!) then…read moreAVOID THIS PLACE. I've been getting my hair washed and blow dried at other salons with no issues. Wash. Blow dry. Simple. However, this salon, specifically Jessica, took what was a simple task and turned it into more work for me. First of all, Jessica was unprepared - stated that she didn't have her stuff at the salon. First red flag. Secondly, she proceeded to blow dry my hair with a regular brush and a blow dryer. I asked her to please use a round brush and she stated she was just trying to get my hair dry before she used the round brush. And then, proceeded to use the round brush in the same exact way she was using the regular brush to blow dry my hair. Second red flag. As she's working I can feel that heavy dread in my chest of "this woman has no idea what she's doing". I am Indian and after she finished "blow drying" my hair - I looked like I had an afro, LOL. I told her I wasn't happy with how my hair turned out and I said I am not going out looking like this. I then asked if I could use their blow dryer to go ahead and fix my hair. I use some serum or smoothing cream they had at the salon, a round brush, and their blow dryer to fix my hair. When I stated that this is what a blow dry should look like her response was "Well, if I had known that's what you wanted I would've told you I can't do it or don't have time to do it" and then went on to tell me that if I wanted it done that way it would have cost $50. An extra $25 for something she should've been doing in the first place. Then with an insincere and sarcastic tone said "Oh well sorry about that" as she moved onto her next client who mind you, is a white woman. Lastly, when I told her we are gonna have to negotiate the price of this wash and blow dry since I had to do some of the work she refused. I said ya know what I'm gonna give her the $25 for wash and blow dry but I did NOT leave a tip. I could be wrong but, I think she was just upset that she was washing and blow drying a brown woman's hair because she had no problem at all moving on to her next client who was a white woman while I stood there and fixed her mess up. If you decide to come to this salon, DO NOT count on them to tell what you need to know or ask you anything to gain clarity on what you need/want. SPELL IT OUT FOR THEM because they have clearly had a slow life.

My 8yr old daughter received a bob hair cut this summer at this Salon and it was surprisingly…read morereally good. I'm always cautious when getting my mixed curly girl haircut but after entering the Salon, it was super clean, the staff was welcoming and answered all of my questions and it was inexpensive, only $18 for her haircut and her hair was long. I recommend this Salon because of the open atmosphere, friendly staff and really cut haircut.

This lady gave me a botched cut. Told her I was getting married Saturday. It looked nothing like…read morethe cut, the picture I brought in to her. I was nice to her just the same. Left upset and my future husband found someone to just blend it in and fix it better. Had to go to a short pixie, which is really not me but it is for now. Will let my hair grow back out and let Oakland Hair Care cut it from now on. They do well for sure with shoulder length or longer hair. Have had beautiful cuts and coloring done there. If I wanted to look jacked up for my wedding, I would have cut it myself. I actually think I would have done a better job. She was very quickly cutting it. Did not blend any hair into the back section of my head. Also, had a bit of a hateful attitude. I will not be going back to her. That's what you get for choosing a $10 haircut that you leave a $10 tip with. He's so mad that he even tipped her at this point. Also, I have no problem with saying I voted for Trump and I am not going to bash others who chose who they wanted but I think there is a place and time for political and it's not in a hair Salon or business. She is very much political in her hair salon and dons banners on her walls. I just don't think business owners should do that. It's just like some nurses and Doctors that I have heard about lately, saying that they wouldn't treat a republican. Ridiculous!
