However, four times in the last year I have been called within an hour of my appointment only to be told at the stylist wouldn't be able to make it in, and they would need to reschedule, and they would not be able to accommodate for a cut that day. I understand that people have personal lives, and once or twice if someone can't make it in, I certainly understand. But four times is a trend that I just can no longer ignore. Again, the service is fine, but if you rely, like I do, on being able to count on a haircut at a certain time, then I'm afraid that they may fall short. Once you walk in, the waiting room and place is great inside. They have cool art on the walls and plenty to look at and talk about. They even had a stack of books for sale in the front by a local author/artist that were alphabet picture books of local Memphis spots. They embody supporting local. Their service is amazing. I've never spent a bunch of time waiting. Everyone there is super friendly. I tend to have some awkward silences when getting haircuts but everyone there is so kind and welcoming that's never been a problem. I've also gotten the best looking cuts of my life there and they've been consistent. I've seen a few stylists and they're all great. They're also super affordable for men's cuts. I bought the deva curl products she used and did my version of wash n go.
