Every visit here is a continues to be a pleasure as they never rush me (of course I keep an eye to make sure there are open spaces) which I appreciate because I do have some physical limitations that make drying and vacuuming a car a nightmare on some days. However, their staff never fails to amaze me either; David is a personable guy who ensured those trusty blue towels were always stocked and ready and he did it with a smile. He also really listened to what I was talking about. Additionally, the guy with the long blonde and pink hair is a very kind soul and thinks above his job which critical thinking skills are always appreciated. I also like that there is a restroom where I can clean the brake dust off of me; just bring your own soap and towels. If you're a lady, I would probably use the toilet elsewhere but the bathroom is clean enough with a mirror so A+ there. Really, I had a horrible experience with a major competitor and this place was such a refreshing find! I do the monthly plan which is awesome if you wash your car twice or more a month and they will let you try a wash and vacuum out for free so do yourself a favor and see if you find this experience a little roomier and relaxed. read more

1 Star - Extremely Frustrating Experience! Don't waste your time! This car wash has been partially closed for the past couple of days with only the vacuums being available and absolutely no notice about renovations. Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had here. On multiple occasions, the machines have broken down during the busiest hours, leaving cars stuck in extremely long lines with no clear communication from employees. Oh and half of the vacuums not even working ‍ Today, an employee told us the machine had overheated and needed to be shut off, but assured us they would reopen in an hour. We came back an hour later, only to be met by a rude employee who said, "I don't know who told you that because we're closed for a couple of days for renovations." She then proceeded to tell us that there are over 100 locations in San Diego, as if that somehow justified the inconvenience. Not to mention, there aren't nearly that many locations near me! I've been extremely patient with this place, especially considering I've already been hit from behind TWICE in the last years .. while going through the car wash because employees don't leave enough space between vehicles. Between the constant breakdowns, poor communication, lack of organization, and rude customer service, I've had enough. As a paying member, I expect better service and at the very least some respect for my time. I will definitely be canceling my membership. Extremely disappointing experience, especially after giving this place so many chances for the past 8 yrs or so! read more

Very disappointing experience at Superstar Car Wash. I was told to text "PERKS" to 27800, which I did four days ago, and I received a confirmation for a free car wash. When I went to the location to use the free wash, I spoke with the manager, Mikey. Unfortunately, she refused to honor the free car wash that I had received through their promotion. What made the experience even worse was that instead of trying to resolve the issue or help me, I was asked to leave and was taken out of the car wash. I followed the instructions Superstar Car Wash provided, received the free wash offer, and expected them to honor it. If there was an issue with the promotion, I would have appreciated the manager taking the time to explain it and find a solution rather than simply refusing the offer and removing me from the car wash. Very poor customer service and management. I expected much better from Superstar Car Wash. read more

I've had an unlimited membership for 2 years and I am considering cancelling it. This location has gotten so bad. None of the brushes on the passenger side work and they haven't for over 2 months. Some spin but don't make contact with your car. Others don't even spin. And now the overhead brushes have stopped working too. And when you get out of the wash, there are no drying stations available because half of them are routinely blocked by traffic cones. So you sit and wait with 7 or 8 other people. Then there are no towels and many of the vacuums are missing or broken. I may have to go back to Genie. read more

Can't tell you how many times I've pulled up only to have all the cones blocking entrance. Frustrating and time wasting. I won't get into the gas side of this sob story. El Cajon location consistently sucks. Fashion valley or mission valley is my new go to. Just a little out of convenience range but the peace of mind is better. read more

Superstar car wash of El Cajon really needs to be shut down. I should be able to use my membership to the full benefits but vacuums in all the stalls are most of the time not working. And towels not stocked very well. Why am I paying for a membership that I cannot fully use to get my car cleaned up. Seriously considering canceling my membership. read more

Super Star Car Wash Express - I cannot use the vacuum cause it's not even attached. Is this not obvious that it needs to be fixed!!!! - Car Wash Near Me - El Cajon, California

I have been a loyal paying customer of Super Star Car Wash for several years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. The employee who assisted me was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment I asked for help. Rather than trying to resolve my concern, he acted annoyed and treated me with a complete lack of respect. As a long-time customer who has faithfully paid for a membership for years, I expected much better service. What was even more disturbing was that during our interaction, the employee struck my driver's side window multiple times with his cell phone while speaking to me. He hit the window three separate times, which I found intimidating, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be treated that way. I have never experienced this level of poor customer service at any business. Management should seriously address this employee's behavior and provide proper customer service training before another customer is treated the same way. I am extremely disappointed and am now reconsidering whether I should continue paying for a membership after years of supporting this company. read more

Super Star Car Wash Express - Car Wash Near Me - El Cajon, California

I've cancelled my membership after being a member for many years. The vacuums are broken, the towels are always dirty and smelly. The brushes in the wash are filthy. The employees have to use metal sticks in the track to keep it going which is clearly an OSHA hazard (see videos). The brushes bang into your car and there is always a film on the windshield that is hard to get off. I've had to use the squeegee from the gas station to clear the film from my windshields after their car wash. They have hardly any staff and the ones they have are miserable. I'll never go back read more

Usually pretty good, the vacuums are usually not that strong. This last visit the wash broke my antena and the left hand side scrubbers didn't even work. Everyone there is friendly tho. read more

That new girl with the dark hair a lip piercing inside the car wash sucks. Everytime I go through she doesnt align my car to the track and tells me to pull forward when I can hear my car rubbing on something. She could care less read more

Very disappointed with the lack of communication. None of the vacuums were working, yet there was no sign before or after entering the car wash letting customers know. Instead, every customer had to wait in line and ask an employee, who repeated the same explanation that the vacuums had "blown up yesterday." Had I known the vacuums were out of service, I would have gone somewhere else instead of waiting in a long line for a car wash when I couldn't vacuum the inside of my car. This is easily preventable. Put up temporary signs and communicate with customers until the issue is resolved. It would save your employees from repeating the same explanation all day and create a much better customer experience. read more

Fast! I haven't had my car washed in a minute, so I had low expectations from some build up, and after a 4 minute wash, I was right. A lot of the pollen I had built up on my car, also, when first entering the wash with the service person at the start, there's so much going on that I didn't even know what to do until they told me I had to put the car in Neutral. Other than that, had I had a consistently washed car, it probably would have been really good. But that's to be seen, will come back in a month or two to check it out again. read more

"Huge shoutout to David who guided my car onto the track was so nice. The whole process was fast, and my car looks great

I've been going to this location for many years and always enjoyed all the perks included. Recently they have a young man who claims to be the manager named Joshua working with customers as they're choosing their car wash. He has been very sarcastic, confrontational and rude. Today was the 3rd unpleasant encounter that I've had with him. Unfortunately due to this Factor I will never use his car wash again and I can no longer recommend it. read more

David guided my into the wash today, he was very nice, I love my service at this location

This company is terrible, they don't keep their equipment working. This location and the Plaza Blvd location have the same issues, majority of the brushes don't work and they must be conserving water, all you get is a bunch of soap and having it blown off at the end. I asked if there was a water hose available to rinse the car off and they just walked away. read more

I just want to say we only come back here because my kids love it which I explained to the young women and the rude tall manager with pink hair the young women seemed sorry and understanding trying to give us what we wanted while the man Josh I believe, mocked me. then yelled mockingly to my kids "thanks kids! keep making them come back" he then kept commenting snarky sarcastic remarks while cussing. after reading other reviews... HOW DOES HE STILL WORK HERE? read more

I love how shiny my car looks when I come here! As you drive up, you are handed a cleaning towelette and air freshener. The car wash system is so advanced with their awesome technology that is why your car glistens when you are finished going through the car wash. The vacuums are super powerful and work efficiently! In the area where you dry off the car, there is always a spot available and towels too to dry off the car. I asked an employee by the name of Danielle who flashed a beautiful smile at me and a can-do, helpful, efficient, and professional attitude for an air freshener because I had accidentally thrown mine away. She happily said yes and brought me back four, all different scents! She went above and beyond to help me, and that is not common for employees to do this unless they are "Super Stars" like "Danielle!" I enjoyed my pleasant conversation with Danielle, and I told her how much I appreciated her help working above and beyond the call of duty! Danielle is a rare treasure at your business establishment! She truly makes your business shine with a happy and pleasant personality besides the great technology of your car wash! Please give Danielle the highest recognition, praise, a raise, vacation, and anything she desires! I will be back and bought a Membership! read more

I used to come here a lot. Regular wash has gone up to $25.00,,,time to look elsewhere.

Great place for fast car wash and vacume. Don't know what people want saying negative things out of this place. If there are no clots to clean your car. Because people used them and take them home. Bring your own one. This is self-service, not full service read more

Cheapskates. Rained the next day after I got a wash and they weren't in the mood to let me run through real quick. People are way nicer and understanding at soapy Joe's so I'll stick with them moving forward. Shame cause this place does have a nice facility but loser customer service. read more

yes I've been living in El Cajon for like 5 yrs since before the 7/11 across the street closed. Now I was there this past Thursday and there were cones throughout the parking lot and I've never seen them before. I stopped ask the guy at the car wash pay part why the cars where there. This man proceeds to say a bunch of words that doesn't make any sense about the cones so I proceeded to go clean the rental I was returning. This man proceeds to walk over with the rudest attitude like didn't I tell you blah blah blah but what he's saying isn't what he's trying to say. BUT IT WAS COMPLETELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING!!! He kept talking even a customer had to step in and tell him to calm down. He kept saying how it was his parking lot. I told him what are you saying so are you saying that if your not a member you can't use the vaccum he said yes I've already said that I said not you didn't you were completely rude and he just kept repeating my car wash my parking lot. Now had he said oh you can't use them they are for members only I would of just left so while I'm using finishing up he turns the vacuum off and then comes to tell me when the last time I was a member and blah blah bla. I didnt see a sign that said members only. He said he was the manager but like I said I've lived here for a long time and I know those workers come and go but he needs to go right now. read more

I've been coming to this carwash for 3 years, and I'm a monthly subscriber. Today I went to go through the wash and there was no other car in front of me. The attendant working was so interested in chatting with his female co-worker bringing a pizza in that he didn't even look my way when I pulled in. Then he started directing me which way to turn the steering wheel and was visably irritated with me. I rolled my window down and said if he had been paying attention when I pulled in, there wouldn't be a problem. To this he started yelling at me that I should have waited until he motioned for me to drive through like everyone else. That I had "broken the rules." I asked his name and he said it was Ian. After continuing to yell at me to straighten my wheels, I eventually was able to get through the car wash. I'm a very easygoing customer. In fact, I'm the kind of customer who goes out of her way to let managers know when an employee has provided good service. I understand this isn't the most exciting ways to make money, and from the looks of "Ian" it's likely one of his first jobs. He needs a lesson in how you treat customers. All he would have had to do was treat me with respect and kindness (I know, we don't see much of this in the world right now), and there would have been no issue at all. If I was "Ian's" supervisor and I read this review, he would be looking for another job. At this point, I'll be canceling my subscription. It's a shame as this carwash is close to my house and very convenient, but I prefer to give my money to businesses that treat customers with respect. read more

I went to Superstar Car Wash this morning as I have every week for the past four years I have owned my car and the equipment wasn't working properly my car speed up even though I was in neutral did not have my foot on the gas or the brake as I always know how to do when I go for a car wash. My car speed up into the car in front of me and smashed into the bumper The woman whose car it was said the same thing happened to her and she had to press her brake hard to to avoid not going into the car in front of her. The people who work there took no responsibility they yelled at me saying it was my fault that if I didn't share my information with the driver in front of me he was going to call the police and threaten me with a hit and run it was not my fault at all it was the fault of the equipment there were three drivers that's that morning that the same thing happened to unbeknownst to me at the time the same thing happened to my husband this morning at the same car wash again they were not willing to take any responsibility blamed me for what happened and were rude obnoxious and unhelpful is an understatement. I told the person that was yelling at me that it was my fault that I was going to cancel my membership and he said go for it Please do not use this car wash if you value your car read more

Had a little hiccup and Josh was able to help me out, he is so kind and helpful. Thanks Josh!!!

In April, I purchased a membership with Superstar Car Wash that included one free car wash per month as part of the package. Fast-forward to September, I went in to use my wash and redeem the free monthly wash for another one of my vehicles. Johnathan, who claimed to be the general manager, told me there was "no such thing" and spoke to me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. After going back and forth with him, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and asked him to simply cancel my membership. Instead of helping, he ignored me, placed a cone behind my car, and made me sit there for about 10 minutes. When he finally moved it so I could leave, he mockingly waved at me as I backed out. Long story short, I had to cancel my own membership on my own -- something that should have been a simple, respectful customer service interaction. The way Johnathan handled the situation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

I've had generally good experiences here before I've even had memberships. Recently I got a new car, I visited today, attempted to purchase a single wash because I usually prefer hand washes and wasn't interested in the membership at this time. The associate approaches me mocks me for my decision for purchasing a single wash stating that you're certainly not doing a hand wash today.. so what's your excuse for not getting a membership? Then he goes on and on mocking me and not letting me purchase a single wash not respecting my decision to purchase a single wash today. I am 50 years old and do not need to be lectured, or questioned about my purchase decisions by a teenager. I fully understand the need for sales pitches and getting business with memberships.. I totally understand but this went above and beyond and was unprofessional and mocking condescending tone. When I told them I'm leaving I had enough.. He again sarcastically said " bye buddy!" Wtf...
