If every business had a Marleene, customer service would be on another level. I stopped by the Soapy Joe's Skyline location on Jamacha Rd., and Marleene absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment I pulled in, she greeted me with a genuine smile, incredible energy, and a level of professionalism that's becoming rare these days. She took the time to answer my questions, made sure I was taken care of, and turned what should've been a routine car wash into an outstanding customer experience. It's employees like Marleene who keep customers coming back. She clearly takes pride in her work, represents Soapy Joe's with excellence, and deserves recognition for going above and beyond. My car left sparkling clean, but it's the exceptional service that will keep me returning. Give this woman the recognition she deserves--she's a rockstar! read more

I was disappointed today 9/4/26, I was in line for over 5 minutes. They normally open at 7, it was not opened and there was a long line so I left and came back later. Normally the place is clean it was not as clean. I at the time was going to go home and wash my car but I said hell no I pay the service every month that's why I came back read more

Soapy Joe’s - Jamacha Rd - Long line after 7 - Car Wash Near Me - San Diego, California

There a specific person who is African American that works there and he is rude. He is very unprofessional and lacks respect. I am sure he has a problem working there based on his attitude, but he chose to work there. Maybe he got some other issues at home. I'll talk to him next time along with his boss to see what's up because I'm tired of his arrogant attitude. read more

Customer service is bad. The black guy in the carwash was mean to customer. You need to wait for more than 30 minutes to have your car washed on line. read more

Do not come here! their machine is always down and today I got in an accident in the machine! Manager tried to blame the car in the very front for possibly taking too long to continue out. I strongly believe it was the attendant rushing all the cars in and had the car in the back of me go in too soon after me. it was a very hard slam and I have a massive headache. Manager was not apologetic at all. I will definitely be canceling my membership. way too expensive for an ongoing problem, as this happened to my dad as well. read more

Great new location. Staff has been helpful. The line here is a hit or miss but overall pretty quick.

Great experience, fast, customer service great equipment clean & in working order, towels clean and great condition, over all like I have it if I did it at home read more

I had a great experience thanks to Danny G! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that we were happy with the service. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about doing a good job. It's not every day you come across someone who takes that much pride in their work. Danny G made the whole car wash experience smooth and enjoyable--we really appreciate his excellent customer service! read more

Came today and Ashley helped us out, she was so mind and helpful! My car looks fire now

ALMOST PERFECT, but.... Typically we have a good experience at this location (hence, the 4 stars), but today (Jan.30, 2026) was the exception. While pulling up to the beginning of the car wash entrance (where they hand you an air freshener) some scruffy employee with a shaved head and a lightning bolt tattoo on his head was yelling at us "Go, Go, GOOOOI!!!!". We had noticed while pulling up that he was sending cars through the wash really close together, not quite bumper to bumper, but closer than normal. We have been lucky but we have a friend who was rear ended while going through at a different location. So, yeah, we're going to want to put some distance between us and the car in front of us. So, Mr. Lightning Bolt, calm down. It's not a race car track, it's a car wash. And brush up on your customer service skills; don't yell at customers who PAY FOR THIS MEMBERSHIP. (One star deducted). read more

Awesome carwash. Every time I stopped by, the line was not long at all. I do like how they give out the car freshener and towels to wipe down the car. The vacuum is very strong, so just be careful to pick up everything before you start. The price of the carwash is good. I honestly don't think the tire cleaner works good, but again everything else makes up for it. read more

I really like this location. Not too busy and big parking spaces. Towels fully stocked and strong vaccums. Best part, the great customer service by the employees, especially Daniel W! I def recommend this Soapy Joe's location read more

Absolutely love Soapy Joe's! The car wash moves quickly (even when there's a line), and the attendants are always so kind and helpful! Plus, you get an air freshener with every wash. After the outside wash, I have never had to wait to use the self help detailing services. As they provide vacuums, towels, and trash cans for deep cleaning the inside of your car too. No extra charge! Today my Dad wanted to pay for a monthly subscription for me. I went into the office for the first time to ask if that was a possibility. Not only did they make it work for me, but Danny was AWESOME! Super professional and down to earth. Highly recommend making Soapy Joe's your go to car wash. read more

Jesus was great, great service. Quick and efficient will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visit date- 4/22/23 There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. I took advantage of the current promo - 1st month of unlimited washes for the cost of one was. Attendants were standing by to help process my order and add the sticker to my car. The downside of the line moving quickly was the wash wasn't as good as I would have liked. Wheels were still pretty dirty, bug spots all over. Plenty of vacuums available for use. My favorite feature is the towel bins - plenty of clean towels available to wipe your car down after the wash. read more

Hooray for Soapy Joe's popping up all over San Diego. I am a member so I do like the more choices around town. I recently visit this new addition to La Presa and Encanto area. I arrived when they first opened up so there was no line. All the equipment was working well and the place was very clean. Not all the boxes had drying towels, including where I parked to dry, so I had to get towels from another drying parking station. The single employee that was on site was very nice. This location is large and offers a lot of parking for drying and vacuuming. read more

The staff was very helpful and this place cleaned my car well. There was an employee who helped clean my car who was very helpful. I think his name was Eric Arreola he was such a gentleman and a very kind individual. GOD Bless this young man and there is still hope for this generation. This made my week :) read more

I would say that this Soapy Joes is in a good spot. My car was washed very well through the car wash. I've been to some other locations and I still have sap and what not on my car. I didn't interact with any staff during my visit, was just directed in the car wash when entering. Normal pricing for a single wash which is $13.00. The vacuums didn't work very good. Not much suction. A lot of the trash cans were full. Used towels were full. Not very many clean towels. I would say the lot where all of that stuff should be maintained was rather dirty. I didn't see anyone maintaining the lot. That's my observation. read more

Newer location and built pretty efficiently to get you in and get you out. Service is usually friendly. I went with a $200 annual fee that was offered by Costco as has been well worth it as I no longer spend a hour to just was the outside of my car. Unfortunately this place has a problem opening on time. Came here on a Sunday and manager didn't show up so as of 730 still wasn't open and I just left. read more

I would NEVER take my car back to this or any location operated by soapy Joes. They scratched the hood of my car as well as the top. I was told to fill out a report and they would take pictures of the damage and get back to me. After there review my damage to my car they stated was not due to there negligence. Imagine that they are the judge and jury here. I was told to claim the damage on my insurance!!. I asked for a representative from Soapy Joes to put there eyes on the damage but was told it wasn't there problem. Don't ever use any Soapy Joe car washes. read more

Went through this car wash and no soap, no water, flat towels weren't even moving, and no air blow dry. All other cars it washed their cars but not ours. Not even any water to rinse off the car. Would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

After a rainy Tuesday in San Diego & I was busy yesterday. Today, I had some free time before I got see Black Panther 2 at 3pm at Fashion Valley ( by the way I love their AMC )." I wanted to get a quick wash after the rain, I knew there was a new quick-me car wash down the street from me. I pulled in, I payed the machine & I waited in line to get my car wash. I had the 70's car wash song in my head while my car was being washed. I will say, I'm pretty impressed how shiny my car is read more

Absolutely unacceptable behavior at Soapy Joe's. An employee with neck tattoos started aggressively yelling at me in front of my child just because I backed up a little in line. Even with my windows up, I could hear him shouting and pointing. He then continued the intimidation inside the car wash while I was trapped in the vehicle. Completely unprofessional, threatening, and traumatic for my kid. I'm considering filing a police report -- no customer should be treated like this. Soapy Joe's needs to seriously evaluate who they're hiring. read more

I love soapy joes and am always up in this area so I was thrilled when this opened! This location is large and was gorgeous at sunset! I'd give them a no star if possible. They have my credit card on file . I get charge every month for service I can not use . They turn me away saying that my card is invalid . funny that they charge me every month. Gone back three different times with same results. No have patients for this game they play. Pros: spacious. Plenty of strong vacuums Cons: staff are very lazy. They stand there like zombies on their phone while you try to ask for help. I bought the annual membership at Costco and they somehow did it wrong so my sticker only works half the time. read more

Their machine is constantly has a malfunction and will cause a damages to your bumper. They push three cars at once and due to malfunction the cars will hit each other They will simply say we are not responsible. They will always say your hand was on the steering wheel and we told you it has to be hand free. (Usual excuses). Check out other reviews in google and yelp to see what people saying about accidents. Nothing makes me happier than a squeaky clean ride.. and if you want an experience that's quick and painless.. look no further than soapy joes! I've had previous experiences with soapy joes (but not this particular location), and this location was consistent with my previous experiences.. fast, inexpensive, friendly, and fantastic! The staff who checked me in made my drive up smooth, and gave me good instructions on how to get my car in the bay safely. My car cruised through the wash seamlessly, only to be welcomed by SO MANY FREE VACUUMS! WOO HOO! Vacuums we're POWERFUL (they sucked up my rugs, wow!) and picked up every last dog hair and crumb hiding in the crevices of my car. They also provide free wipe down towels for your post wash drips.. so it's truly a spotless experience. Soapy joes is one of my fave and consistent car washes.. and this location is no different. I'll def be back soon! My Audi appreciates you too! read more
