Very nice sounding tech, he will call you friend, family, brother, cousin etc. but he will get as much money as possible. It's all a negotiation. He tried to charge $180 on my car and then $100 on a different car. He will point to his sign and say he is not trying to hide anything but his sign is way up near the roof of the building. Same as most places. He was really nice and made conversation but I had to let people know the check-in coupon isn't really what I had understood. He did the test but he did not run the car on the wheel (is that legal???) and I can attest he is A HUSTLER. I'm blocks from his business and he called me 'a neighbor'. this is how it works. A smog test is around $30 plus tax. He can charge whatever he wants by providing you with "an estimate" I'm super disappointed to be hustled. And i looked at the rest of the reviews and they don't smell right. I suspect they are friends and neighbors. A lot of weird names. AND IF THOSE reviews are legit, then it makes his hustling even worse cause he's a severe opportunist. Shame. read more

So I bought a truck went to DMV and was informed I need to get a few things done to finish registering my truck. Among one of them is getting it smog. So I go to the nearest smog test facility near me. Danny immediately lets me know that the catalytic converter is not up to California standards (bought truck out of state) He directs me to some mechanics he knew, long story short, I finally got the right converter and did some extra work. When it was ready to smog brought in Danny notices catalytic converter not done correctly, took it back, mechanic fixed and voila passed smog with no issues! read more

Danny was fantastic and got me in and out super quickly. He made sure too that I was aware of several options available to me: 1. The Yelp offer (29.00 out the door) 2. The retest offer (58.00 our the door I really appreciated his being super transparent about the fact that if I used the Yelp offer and my car failed, I'd have to pay to get tested again whereas if I was concerned that I might not pass I could pay a little more and have the peace of mind to know I could come back and not be out of pocket again. Quick and easy, we walked in with our 1994 dodge Dakota and the sea was done and the beast was passed within about 30 minutes total. Fast and cheap! There was only a five minute wait to get started since there was someone else there. My car is on the older side (pre-2000) and I've heard they take longer but I was out within 10 to 15 minutes. Plus the guys there are super nice and accomodating while you're waiting for your car.
