As I did more research on the brand, I realized that you can bring your big, oversized, heavy, or awkwardly shaped Items and they will create custom packing, crating and shipping plans for delivering your packages to their destinations. Anyone can take furniture, artwork, antiques, freight, etc and they will take care of it! Even cars and motorcycles...just come in and ask ! Good to know !!!!!

I am someone who rarely leaves negative reviews. I understand that one poor experience does not…read morealways represent an entire company, but my experience with Safe Ship Moving was so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. During the sales process, the representative assigned to me, Maurice, told me my belongings would be delivered safely to my new state, that picking up my items several days early would ensure enough time for transportation, and that if my items arrived before I did, they could easily be placed into a local storage unit free of charge for up to 30 days. Once I arrived at my new location and contacted Safe Ship for an update, I was told they did not have the ability to track my shipment and that I needed to contact the contracted mover, Always Affordable. After multiple attempts to get information, I learned that my belongings were sitting in New Jersey despite my understanding that they were already en route. What followed was weeks of repeatedly calling for updates, not getting answers, being told to call back, and being informed that no truck was available. The overall lack of communication and coordination was unacceptable. Delivery was eventually arranged with very little notice -- only after my belongings were already on the road did I learn they were coming. I was given approximately 24 hours' notice, and the driver could not provide a clear timeframe for delivery. This made coordinating work, loading dock and freight elevator reservations extremely difficult. Ultimately, I was without my belongings for five weeks. Multiple Safe Ship representatives acknowledged that some of the information I was originally given was not accurate, but instead of taking responsibility, they repeatedly directed me back to Always Affordable. I felt caught between two companies, with neither accepting accountability. When I asked questions, Maurice ghosted me and could no longer be reached. I also had concerns during pickup when one of the movers privately pressured my father for a large tip before the job was even completed. Additionally, there was significant pressure throughout the process to leave positive reviews, including one mover making me write a 5-star review in front of him so he could see it. The driver who delivered my items raised his voice at me multiple times (my building's front desk security also noted his frightening and unprofessional behavior). I regret not taking the negative reviews I saw more seriously. My biggest issue was not simply the delay but the inaccurate expectations set during booking and the lack of transparency afterward. I would NOT recommend this moving company.

Kind people but very inconvenient. You rent the truck from this location, but pick it up about a…read moremile and a half away. You drop off the truck at the same location, but if you get any add-ons (dolly, pads, etc.) You have to return them at the store. You can't leave them in the truck. The store closes by 4:45-5 p.m. if you don't return the add-ons by that time, you have to drop them off by 6:30 a.m. or they charge you for it. There are plenty of U-haul stores around. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.
