    Super Chicken Burrito
    Jaye O.

So disappointed. I came here starving after being at Hoag with someone. I looked at yelp before I got here and it looked pretty good. I ordered and it came out to $14.22 which was way more than the menu. They charge more if you use card. The burrito is not super, it's small. It also was bad, it reminds me more of some healthy chicken wrap with some beans than a Mexican burrito. I also asked for it wet and they said if I did that they would take stuff out of it so I left it alone. I also got an order of fries for someone else and they were $6 and soggy. If you actually want a good Mexican burrito that won't leave you disappointed go somewhere else please.

We were in the area and wanted to eat at Super Pollo. I got the Half Chicken Combo with flour tortillas for $15.99 and a Super Carne Asada Soft Taco for $5.89. Everything tasted so good. My chicken was coated with garlic lemon and butter. Yum! So juicy and flavorful. I definitely want to come back to try their Super Chicken Burrito!

Came here while searching for a burrito spot. Thought to myself why I'd get a burrito from a place named super pollo, and went with the half chicken! I writing this 5 star review while standing waiting for my order because it smells like HEAVEN IN HERE! The chickens are cooking over the flame in the window and the smells are just incredible thru this small interior. The exterior patio is huge and I am excited to bring my family and stroller as it is very accessible. Now the food... I witnessed them ladle the lemon garlic butter over the platter chicken I am droooling! I got home and this chicken is for REAL! I utilized the tortillas and made 4 chicken tacos with the rice and beans and their spicy salsa and for $17 this was MONEYYY! The chicken was juicy and tender and dripping in that lemon garlic butter the beans from the pot simmering on the stove were perfect and the rice was phenomenal. I will Be going back!!

    Super Chicken Quesadilla Burrito (vegetarian)

I've come here a couple of times in the evening and it's never been too long of a wait - they have outdoor seating which is convenient. This place is nice not only for their meat options (I've tried the quesadilla and burrito) but also because they offer vegetarian options. I have a dear family member who is vegetarian so having that option is really nice, plus it tastes fantastic! Lots of good quality food for a reasonable price. Overall a very good casual spot for Mexican food.

Friendly service. Limited outdoor seating and parking. Garlic lemon butter chicken worth the try. Similar to Hawaiian shrimp plate.

Super breakfast burrito with chicken, pico de gallo, and homemade guacamole

Best breakfast burrito in Newport Beach! Here's why. This spot's been around forever. I was a local here for years, moved away, and now that I'm back, this was one of the first places I had to come back to first. Their breakfast burritos are sooo good. If you've never been here, it's a small spot with a pretty decent size patio. I don't remember it being this big before, but now there's plenty of outdoor seating. I got the Super Breakfast Burrito with grilled chicken. It's loaded with hash browns, refried beans, cheese, two eggs, and all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. I asked for side of the fresh pico de gallo and guacamole! That extra boost is what makes it the bomb. The burrito's packed and every bite gives you a little of everything. Their spicy salsa brings a nice little kick too. One of the things I've always liked about this place is how they grill the chicken right in front of you. You can actually see them working the grill, chopping it up fresh, and the smell is unreal. The service is always cool, really friendly. Just good vibes, great food, and I'm glad to be back in Newport with this back in my rotation.

Delicious and moist chicken! Drove by and decided to try it and it did not disappoint. The service was friendly both on the phone and in person and they made sure to double check to make sure that the order was right with no cheese. We got the half chicken with garlic and it was so tasty. The rice and beans were average but the chicken was def the super star. Interior was quaint but clean. Tiny parking area but easy enough.

The lady got upset. That she didn't even say Thank you. We ate our food there outdoor 9:30pm she close the doors. Came out side to start cleaning. No word came out from the lady. Chilaquiles Con Huevo Combo and Super Breakfast Quesadilla

The workers were friendly and the food was delicious! For both chilaquiles and breakfast quesadilla, the total was 32$

Everything was fresh, taquitos were hot and had good flavor. The burrito was a little on the small side but still very good. Excellent salsa and hot sauce. Definitely less expensive and better flavor than all the fancy overpriced taquerias in Newport. Workers were all friendly, little dirty but it was at the end of the day. Only outdoor seating or to go.

Very fast service and really good authentic Mexican food! I found this location by surprise and when visiting a Walgreens and I'm really happy to have gone here. I ordered the Super Carne Asada burrito for $14 and it was sooo good. It comes with hot sauce and is moderate in size. I would love to come back. There's seating outside and with shade, but I strongly feel it would be good for to go/pick up orders just due to parking. Check out the most menu photos attached (:

Wow! Super Pollo made me fall in love with chicken again! During a recent Orange County visit, I found myself getting over a cold and needed some comfort food to take to my hotel room down the street. I stumbled into Super Pollo by chance, only after seeing their super cute outdoor seating area with umbrella covered tables, patio lighting, and lush green palms potted throughout the seating area. Even though I was eating in, I still love a little ambiance even if only while waiting for my food. The chicken is flame broiled while you wait, and comes with several flavor options; garlic butter and lemon, seasoned, and spicy. I chose the garlic butter and lemon, and let me just say that flavor combo packs a punch! The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, and requires a handful of napkins to maintain decorum. Super Pollo is a small, hole-in-the-wall restauraunt, and I could see it easily getting overlooked in favor of other more flashy Costa Mesa and Newport Beach options. But I was really impressed with the flavor and the exceptional value found here. Do me a favor and check this place out! The staff are friendly, the food is great, and they've got a really cute patio area to enjoy your food. There's no valet, or super convenient parking aside from a limited number of spots in front, but you'll figure something out. Just remind yourself of the delicious chicken awaiting you, and you'll find a spot eventually.

Very good grilled chicken. Must call to order because they get busy. Small place and have a couple of tables outside.

I genuinely don't think it's possible to find a friendlier, more welcoming staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with real smiles, real gratitude, and a level of care that's honestly rare these days. You can tell they take pride not just in their food, but in every single customer experience. Now here's what really sealed the deal for me. Not too long ago, I placed a to-go order for their half chicken with sides, but when I got home, it turned out to be one of their chicken wraps instead. And to be completely honest -- not even mad. Everything on their menu is so good that it was more of a surprise than a disappointment. Next time I came in, I casually mentioned it to Fred (the owner) while placing my order -- no complaints, no frustration, just a quick heads up. He immediately apologized, which honestly wasn't even necessary. Stuff happens, and when the food is that consistently good, it's hard to care. But here's the part that really speaks volumes: when I went to pay, Fred wouldn't let me. Insisted the meal was on the house. No hesitation. No questions. Just genuine ownership and appreciation. That kind of integrity and customer care is hard to come by. At the end of the day, this is a 5-star establishment with 10-star people behind it. The food is consistently incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the experience is one you'll want to come back to again and again. I'll absolutely be returning -- not just because I know the food will hit every time, but because I know the experience will exceed expectations every single visit.

They bread theirs in a quinoa flour blend. QUINOA FLOUR. The crunch is real, the seasoning is aggressive in the best way, and the fries are tossed in schmaltz and "crack spice" which is apparently a thing and I am now obsessed with it. Here's what sealed the deal for me: this isn't a "we can modify it" situation. Their menu literally says all their chicken is entirely gluten-free. No cross-contamination anxiety. No interrogating the server. No quietly Googling the allergen menu under the table. Just vibes and chicken. Jidori chicken, by the way, is a premium heritage breed -- sourced from local boutique farms because The Crack Shack is that kind of place. Chef-driven. Ingredient-obsessed. They actually care. Crispy chicken sandwich = dope, no notes. We also grabbed chicken tenders that first time and got... sad nuggets instead. Not the end of the world, so we rolled back after she dropped $200 on gift cards. This visit: Firebird again, Cob salad, and we made sure to get the _actual_ spicy chicken tenders. Place is huge for a crispy chicken spot. Two levels, 40-ft bar with beer/spirits, TVs, bar stools, and dog-friendly with pics of pups on the wall. Order outside, grab a number, find a seat. Very cool vibe. 10 mins later food hits. Firebird still looks like fire. Cob salad was on point -- avocado, egg, mixed greens, chard corn, pickled onions, crispy quinoa, tomatoes. Solid. Now the tenders. I know they weren't nuggets this time -- they were longer, thinner... and tasted like something I'd pull from 7-Eleven. Even then, 7-Eleven would get side-eyed. Disappointed is an understatement. Advice: skip the tenders unless you've got kids to feed. Last complaint isn't food -- it's the app. I bought $200 in gift cards but waited too long to claim reward points, emailed them, and got ghosted. That's the second bad taste in one visit. Mr. Crack, if you're reading: hit my email so I can update this to 10/10 and praise your customer service. You've got the food and vibe locked.
