I came here a month ago and had a decent experience--full set for $65, nails looked great. Fast forward to today, and I'm absolutely livid. I went in for a fill with French tips and was blindsided at the end with an $80 charge. The nail tech casually dropped that it was $20 for the French tip, $40 for the fill (fine), and another $20 just for reshaping. Seriously? Since when does a fill not include reshaping? That's always been standard. This place clearly makes up prices as they go. I've had friends go here and get quoted different amounts for the exact same service. It's dishonest and shady. There's zero transparency, and $20 for reshaping is just ridiculous. Save yourself the frustration and take your business somewhere that respects their customers and doesn't try to squeeze extra dollars out of them with surprise charges. Never again. read more

So this is the second time going to the Nail Salon. They don't want to provide a menu. They just said everything is one price for gel pedicure and manicure. If you want the brush to remove the dead skin that's $10 if you want other things they come with the standard pedicure or manicure it's like oh that's five dollars extra that's $10 extra. Everything is extra. When they do your nails, they stop and take care of another person in between. I cannot tell you how many times Sarah got up and took care of somebody else because the old man didn't know how to take care of them. The old man had no idea what somebody wanted when they were speaking in English. And the owner Rose just as rude as can be now here's the horrible part. They charge an extra dollar for any service that you get for using a credit card so if you get a manicure an extra dollar for using your credit card if you get a pedicure an extra dollar for using your credit card so they only ring up your card once but they charge me two dollars just to use my credit card and here's a funny thing they're making money off that I am in the point of sale business And they may be charged no more than $.60 a transaction. It usually starts anywhere from twelve cents to sixty cents a transaction from the credit card processor so they are now making commission on every transaction. They put through that credit card machine because if it's a dollar that they're charging and let's say mostly they're getting charged sixty cents a transaction from the credit card processor, they're making $.40 of every transaction just to benefit from swiping your credit card. I will never ever be back at this place. Sarah is the only one that is confident and kind but she has to get up and take care of all the other customers during your time Rose is rude and they're overcharging. I would suggest any of you guys to rethink going to this place. read more

I made an appointment for my DH and I to have pedicures. We were seated promptly, but service was delayed. The place was nice so we relaxed and watch soccer while the water bubbled and our feet soaked. They used some different techniques and tools that I have seen in the past. They felt a bit aggressive to both of us. I don't get color so I can't speak to the quality, but what I saw on the woman next to me looked good. read more

The nicest people in the world ...not to mention the hardest working family run business! I've been going to Super Nails for over 18 years and I will never change my loyalty to their business. They have always done great work with my acrylics/gel and pedicures. If I have an issue with anything, my problem is quickly resolved and if I still don't like something.. well it's simply discussed again until they make sure I'm happy with my nails! I've never been nicked or nails cut too short or crooked as others have experienced. They are reasonable in price for what I want. I am treated with dignity and respected as a loyal customer. If you want a "salon" experience with music and relaxation... then maybe this isn't your place. But they do have great pedicure chairs! I hope some of these people with these negative reviews will try them again with a bit more tolerance and patience... you might just get what you want. read more

So today I had to worst experience in the world at this nail salon in Topeka. I enter this shop at around 3pm for a mani and pedi. This old man worked on my feet for about 3 hours to told him exactly what I wanted and he did it. And the come Rosie or Rose what ever her name is she was the most prejudice Asia I ever encountered. Before me she did a white lady's nails they spoke about her kids and all that stuff. When the old man (who's name I don't know because he did not speak English, and I had to tell him to stop hitting my feet during the pedicure because I was not his child) fished my toes Rose said she would do my gel pedi. I had gel polish in my nails and she gave me a bowl with remover and no paper towel she she used the fingernail file to take the gel polish off of my nails after I told her I did not want her to file them the way she was. She then pushed her chair back in frustration and stood up and began to use a tool to take the gel off of my nails after they had been soaking and she was being so rough she had me in almost in tears at this point. After doing this I told her I only wanted one coat of gel my tips done and a top coat. She sign out of frustration again and still added two coats of gel polish and when I told her that's not what I asked for she said two coats make the nail harder and they will not break. I told her that was not what I asked for and I was not going to pay for what I didn't ask for. So I walked out of the shop to calm down because I was about to slap the fuck out of her. Needless to say I ended up getting my nails done by the slow as old man that did my pedi and they were done in the wrong color. I just said forget it and told them I was not paying for my nails but I would pay for my toes with I did and that was $51 because I got gel and they had to remove the gel which was an additional $5. They could not show me the prices for the work that I had done. As a paying customer I am coming to your shop to spend money. If you can do as your customer is telling you then you should not be in business at all. Rose treated the white customers better than her black customers. I'm saying that because there was another young black customer that came in the shop to get her pedi done and she wanted French tips and Rose told that that it wouldn't look right on her toes and she just needed to go with a solid color. So this young black lady needed up getting her toes painted all one color instead of what she wanted to spend her money on. I would not suggest anyone Black to ever go to this shop because they are every unprofessional and only cater to their white customers. Just say no to this nail salon if you are in Topeka. I went here to get a simple manicure. The lady that greeted me when I came in was rude. As stated I wanted a manicure. The lady that did my nails literally clipped them and file shaped them. No cuticle oil, no removal of cuticle, buffing nothing. No lotion on my hands, nothing. It took me longer to wash my nails then it did for her to cut and shape them. All I wanted was purple nails with a flat finish. The lady that greeted me insisted you could not have a flat finish with regular polish. When I walked in, everyone turned around and said hi. It made me feels very welcomed . I've never been to a nail salon before, so my friend, suggested to get my first pedicure/manicure there. Since the store wasn't busy (around 2 PM), I was seated at the pedicure chair right away. The store was very clean with a homey feel environment. The lady asked me to pick a nail polish for my toenails before she sat down. The pedicure felt very nice, but since it's my first time, I don't have past experiences to compare it to. She worked on my toes carefully, cleaning and rubbing it with sea-salts (I think?). The employees tried their best to make conversations so the atmosphere is not too quiet. After the pedicure, we moved to the manicure table. I told the lady what design I wanted, and picked out my colors. She suggested of getting gel manicure because it'll stay longer, so I went ahead and got it. She worked slowly on my nails, carefully putting on the design as I explained. I enjoyed my experience mainly because it didn't feel like I was being rushed on. More customers came in during my pedicure and waited, yet the lady still took her time. Had a very bad experience here. My pedicure was fine, although slightly painful. The man who did my nails was awful though. Overall he was very rough and aggressive- not words I want to use to describe my manicurist. His tools were not sharp so he was just ripping my cuticles away from my nail bed instead of cutting them. When the color I picked out appeared "goopy" he chose another similar color without even asking. And today, two days later, the color is turning yellow (cheap polish)! When i was sitting at a drying station he proceeded to cut a women's nails behind me and they were flying everywhere! Two hit me! He laughed but it grossed me out. ALSO- I saw a dead cockroach on the floor and floor and when he saw that I noticed it, he covered it with his foot and kicked it under a desk. GROSS. read more

She painted my nails (two coats) within 2 minutes and charged me $35 and my friend got the same thing with someone else and only paid $30 and she didn't even clean up the polish around my fingers or the shavings under my nails. 6 cuticals cut..took pictures daily..red swolen scabbing,4 days later I called them about it sent pictures and wanted a refund, they kept saying they would return money to my acct but never did 30 of the 45 i paid ??..after 2 weeks fingers still looking awful..red..scabs and now skin peeling and no refund put in my bank acct. I personaly walked in Super Nails..The lady looked at my fingers and daily pictures,then a man I think was her husband and the guy that did this to me all started yelling at each other in their lang. All the while customers and I were looking at each other like WOW!!! From what I gathered the men Did Not want her to refund me..it kept going on while she was writting me a refund check..I couldnt see being charged for 6 out of 10 fingers hurt..looking awful..and healing time now over 2 weeks..I should have read the reviews on Super Nails of Topeka Ks. before I went there..I hope this saves someone else the pain I went through..)-: I did get a full refund..but all the yelling they were doing to each other it was pretty clear they do not offer refunds if you are not happy ! read more
