I wanted a double french with a very simple design on my ring fingers. 3 colors total, and a design. She quoted me 94. On the website it says a french is 8, 2 simple designs is 8, and 2+ colors is 3 dollars. 66+19 is 85, but she said 94 so I asked to remove the design and was quoted 84, weird! She begins the french and shapes it out with the remover and it was almost a straight line still, so I asked her to round my french out a little and was told there was a 30 dollar fee because what I wanted was an "art french", even though all she had to do was use the same brush with remover to just make the line not straight? 30 dollars for what everyone else calls a regular french is outrageous. THEN, I'm told one of my colors would be 15 dollars not 3. In what world does the small line on a double french equal 15 dollars worth of polish. My nail shapes were all uneven and not matching, not touching my cuticle, there was acrylic all over my fingers. Hidden charges aren't cute and if I would've done what I had truly wanted for my PROM nails , it would've been 124 since I wanted my french to look like a french! Asked her to remove my straight black line of nail polish and that I would leave as is. Absolutely no way I will come back, prices listed should be the true prices.

There were other customers in the building who paid after their service. The staff seemed very rushed. It was a little busy but they seemed to have plenty of staff working, a few people sitting around on break, and no customers waiting to be serviced. They rushed us through the experience, they did not listen to our preferences, they gave us the manicure and pedicure at the same time which felt rushed and overwhelming. They tried to upsell us on gel multiple times after we insisted we wanted regular polish, then they accidentally used gel top coat on my regular polish, which predictably never dried since it wasn't cured. After waiting for it to dry for 30+ minutes (no one came back to check on me), I accidentally smudged it. I asked them to fix it: They acted annoyed, but obliged. Again, they never came back to check on it. I wish I had painted my nails myself. It would have looked better anyway. Would not recommend and would not return. Edit to add: I waited nearly two hours for my nails to dry. They never did. I had to remove the polish and repaint them myself. I called to ask for a refund. They refused.

Impressed by the number of 5-star ratings and the longevity of the salon, along with the fact that it is small and family-owned. Bill went and got his first haircut almost a month ago. He took a selfie and sent it to me, saying he was very happy with the cut. I had just gotten my hair done at a local salon in Olathe, spent way too much money, and walked out feeling uneasy and unhappy with the result. I had a consultation with Dee two weeks ago. Filled with anxiety and in tears for most of the appointment, I shared my story with her. She listened intently to me while looking at the mess I felt my hair was, made some recommendations, tested one hair product on my hair (after asking permission to try it out first). I was completely blown away at the before/after difference. My ends were so dry and unhealthy-looking until she used this hair tonic on it. The results lasted into the next day until I washed my hair! She gave me hope that my hair, and myself, would be cared for from the moment I walked in the door. She told me she had a stylist from her shop in mind to do my hair, gave me her contact information, and when I was ready to schedule the appointment, she would be there working together with the other hair stylist, side by side, discussing beforehand exactly what they would do. I scheduled the appointment for two weeks later, this past Friday. Meriya was patient, she listened to me. She said she and Dee had discussed my situation and my hair, and had a plan of what to do to start "healing" my hair, one appointment at a time. She said it won't be solved in one appointment, but it would get better. I was wowed, more like blown away. I learned haircuts are not quick, they do take time. No one had ever explained that to me before. Meriya is young, but she takes her craft seriously. She can do classic cuts, classic hairstyles, and she is learning from a teacher with years of experience.
