The set is is really nice and bright! They had fresh pastries out, they all looked wonderful. The initial lemonades we got didn't quite taste right. My daughter who was trying to be kind didn't say anything. After a couple more sips, I had to say something. They honestly tasted like lemon water with strawberry. Nothing like how a strawberry lemonade should taste. After informing a staff member about it, they did try to fix it by adding simple syrup to it. After all the adjustments, was still ok. Not to be rude but I should have just grabbed a soda. I'm sure I got them on an off day. I'm positive that they normally don't serve products like this. I'm hoping to come back and try other items off their menu.

My wife is a fan of plain bagels and absolutely loved hers. It was soft in the middle. Go on the outside and cooked up crunchy just about perfect. I had the poppyseed bagel which tasted very good, but the poppy seeds had a funny taste to them. It was just an off taste and they were much smaller than most poppyseeds I've seen. Hard to describe the flavor. The jalapeño bagel was great. It could've used more cheddar and jalapeño like Albertsons down the street, but the bagel was excellent. Just little chopped up pieces of jalapeño resident slices. I toasted it with just butter and was very happy with it. Sarah's bagels are a bit less money than Panera Bread and a little more than a grocery stores but if you want to splurge on a bagel, I recommend them Not a fancy place, but there are some tables and it looks like groups get together and have bagels and coffee there in the morning I was in and out quickly and got my bagels to go. There were also bags of day old bagels, five dollars for six. Roughly half price. If you're not gonna use them for a day or two might as well get the older ones.

If the rating was only for food it would be 3 stars but there is so much good will in the mix for the people working here that that would be too little overall. THE EATS & BEV: We tried three items and the goodies seemed church-social-bake sale quality to us and for that reason it will likely not be our 'go to' but we could tell for others gathered on the pretty outdoor deck on the day of our visit that it worked for them. Different choices for different taste buds. The line up includes bread, cookies and pastries plus dishes like sandwiches and quiche plus soft beverages and coffee service. THE DRILL: Order at the counter for to go or eat in options. In our experience nothing was marked that was for sale and one had to ask "what is...". THE VIBE & SEATING: Bright inside seating for maybe 10 total at 4 small round tables. Lots of outdoor seating at tables and chairs on big deck. LOO: There is one uni-loo in the space. PARKING: In downtown Eagle is a bear but there is a lot sort of "downhill" from the shop and parking on downtown streets. ACCESSIBILITY: If you need to avoid stairs at entry, you'll need to find street parking on Aiken and enter from the sidewalk. (See photo) The path of travel inside at the counter is ample for wheelchair users. I couldn't tell if the bases of the round tables would allow wheelchair users to pull up to the table. The uni-loo was not marked with access symbol and I didn't check it but given the space is new it should be ADA compliant if you're planning ahead. OTHERS: If you're looking for more sweet and savory baked options in Eagle, you might also consider Bella Biscotteria on State Street. Professional baker, broad offerings including Euro style pastries. But it lacks the locaton-location-location benefit of this shop and has no seating or table service.

I have tried the cinnamon rolls and cheddar Jalapeño scones, only things available at the time, both delicious but pricey. If I could give my unsolicited advice, just focus on the bakery and don't offer food items yet. As I mentioned before, I've gone several times and haven't been able to get a loaf of bread. There is literally no signage on what is available, how to order bread, the wait is long and slightly chaotic. The menu is sporadic and I didn't even know the name of the shop cause there is no definable sign. I have high hopes for this shop because I agree with their philosophy. Goldstein's Bagels & Bialys 611 S. Eight Street, Boise…read moreOpen 7-3 pm every day Goldsteinsbagels.com Next to the bagels on display at Goldstein's was one basket titled "Bialy." Pronounced [bee-AH-lee] and Jewish-American in origin, the Food Lover's Companion notes say "this large, very chewy large yeast roll is round and flat with a depression in the center. The bialy is sprinkled with chopped onion before baking. The name comes from the Polish city of Bialystok." I love, love the version that Goldstein's makes, loaded with caramelized thin strings of onion in the middle. Already a matte finish light golden brown on the outside: it is well paired with butter, or my favorite, a schmear of veggie cream cheese. One difference between a bagel (boiled and baked) and a bialy is that it's only baked yielding a crunch. My wife prefers the Everything bagel, toasted with melted butter. If I splurge, the Bagel Shop Reuben or the Kosher Style Deli with pastrami, mustard and a kosher pickle hit the spot with intense flavors. Both are $13. The black & white cookies remind me of Junior's 1515 Broadway New York, NY, although smaller than their oversize version. You'll also find lox options, and other smoked fish plus an array of nostalgic canned and bottled drinks, coffee and can even order a Ubet's chocolate egg cream soda. The plain bagels are $2, the Bialy is one dollar more, give it a try!

I have been to the downtown location and had such a good experience there. The staff there was so friendly! Unfortunately, today's visit at it's sister location was not the same. Walking in, the joint is really bright and clean. I appreciate the huge menu boards of all their items. Everything looked so good at first glance in the display case. We hung out for a second going over everything when the employees started coming out. We weren't really greeted. No one really said hi. Finally a gentleman stood there to take our order. I got my husband's order taken care of. I still needed a minute and finally decided on my sandwich. And this is when things really started to go down hill. We stood at the counter waiting to pay. Waiting, waiting, standing there like a couple idiots. The young gal behind the counter let some other customer cut us off and pay for some random drinks. And then we just stood there. I asked the gal if she was going to ring us up and she said no. "Go sit down and you pay when you get your food". Well, that would have been nice to know if someone would have told us that in the first place. We finally paid for our order, got our food and a table. For brunch I grabbed a tasty turkey sammy on a croissant. My husband got a egg, ham and cheese on a croissant. We also snagged a couple smoothies. We got lemon mango and peach. Our sandwiches were nicely made. My sandwich had fresh veggies in it, a good amount of turkey and the herb cream cheese was savory. My husband devoured his breakfast sammy. The croissant was buttery and soft. It honestly was a great sandwich. If you're planning on selling boba in your teas, coffees and smoothies, please make sure the boba pearls are edible. It was amazing how many uncooked boba pearls were on the bottom of my smoothie. Hard, inedible pearls. How embarrassing. I didn't even order them in my smoothie but I got them. I paid for inedible boba pearls so make sure you specify if you want them or not. As gross as they were, I would recommend a hard no on the boba pearls. The smoothies itself were good. The lemon mango was refreshing even though it was thick and hearty. The peach smoothie was really tasty as well. They are gracious with their sizes. I got medium and barely drank half. I will say their smoothies are pretty legit. As good as the sammys were, I just can't get over the rude staff and my hard boba pearls. For me, I rate on the whole experience and I just can't go higher than a 2. Communication with your customers is so important and clearly this joint lacks it. So basic but not given here. I'll stick to the downtown location for my future Sarah's bagel visits from now on. I want to enjoy my food that's prepared by a nice staff.
