I enjoyed the freshness of the food. The varieties in coffee BUT they only use 2% milk and some of us are lactose intolerant. Would love to be able or enjoy specialty coffee otherwise. I ordered the avocado toast and it was perfectly toasted. The egg was just right and not runny. The only con and reason I don't give it 5 stars is because they don't have enough parking, the wait is long, and this place is super loud and in a small area the noises echo. It reminds me of a busy bus or train station. I do recommend it during not so busy times

Comida auténtica! Deliciosa. Servicio fue súper excelente. Todos nos recibieron con una sonrisa. La carne tenía un sabor único. Authentic food! Delicious. Service was super excellent. Everyone greeted us with a smile. The fajita had a flavor and tenderness very difficult to come by.

So we visitied this place for breakfast while visiting Brownsville, TX area and it was pretty good but nothing that wonderful. Maybe I just didnt order the right thing. I order pancakes with bacon and eggs. The bacon tasted very different than what I am used to. Not sure what it was about it...wasnt very good but I was hungry so I still ate it. The pancakes were ok adn the eggs were cooked perfectly. I also tried a bite of a pastry they sale here and it was very hard. Some type of cinnamon twist, but a dried type of bread. They a lot of pastries and pies (miniature pies) A friend of mine ordered the pecan pie and had it before breakfast (because you havent lived if you dont eat dessert before your main meal) and she said that it was realy yummy! Ample parking Friendly staff bathrooms - didnt use

I don't know how my husband found the place but he did and we're glad. We stopped by on our last business trip to the RGV. The place is cute, modern, clean. We greeted immediately and seated quickly thereafter. The female server was adorable and sweet and took our drink order right away. Served with our drinks was a small platter of chips, two salsas and some pickled carrots. The chips were so tasty. Full of seeds. The salsas were spicy and delicious. I could have eaten them all night in place of my meal if I didn't think we'd have been kicked out eventually. We ordered two tortas - one spicy pork, one... bistec? I think? I don't remember, honestly. My husband ordered the tricolored enichiladas as well. (Which, come to think of it now, I didn't ever get to try). The food, admittedly, did take some time to be served. Not horribly long but long enough that we noticed. Once we received our dinner though, we were not displeased. Everything was tasty, very well seasoned. I preferred my husband's spicy pork torta to my own bistec (simply because it was spicy). He polished off his enchiladas before I could get my fork into one or three. After dinner, we decided to try out some of the baked goods and went to the counter to order. The counter servers were wonderful, friendly and more than willing to answer any questions I had about the sweets. We ordered the chocolate, the lemon meringue and raspberry cheesecakes. They were all so...SO GOOD. In the end, while the service is a bit slow, I don't think it was nearly (in our experience) as bad as some of the reviews say? If you're in it for the food, go! If you're in a hurry, maybe save it for another day but I would definitely give this place a try. Because it's yummy and that's what matters.

The reviews are mixed and so was our experience, but I'd say about 3 stars is pretty accurate; it was alright. The menu was pretty extensive and, considering this is a chain restaurant from Mexico, I was surprised that both the menu and signs in the restroom were in english, especially after the bad review by another Yelper. ("Southern thang" my ass; the term is "redneck.") The chips and salsa had a nice taste. The chips were a little different and had sesame seeds in them. Loved the red salsa. Didn't care for the caldo tlapeno at all. The broth was overly salty and had a weird acidic taste. The chipotle chiles were served on the side, which I guess is okay if you want to adjust the spiciness to your level (who orders a soup seasoned with chipotle chiles if they don't want it spicy?) It did have lots of shredded chicken (did I mention how much I detest shredded chicken?), but I didn't care for the veggies (peas, potatoes and carrots). The BF got a chicken/shrimp fajita thing served with a baked potato and he liked it. They were out of shrimp though so they subbed chicken, but at least they gave us the option; a lot of restaurants in this area would have just left it out completely, so that was nice that they asked. It was served on a hot comal, but I was surprised that it didn't come with tortillas or anything. The meat was pretty good, but wasn't great. Again, it had kind of a weird taste that I just couldn't pinpoint. The baked potato was actually more like a twice baked potato - insides removed, mashed, seasoned, mixed with something (little pieces of ham maybe?) and replaced. It would have been nice if that would have been mentioned on the menu as some people don't care for pork. We both had limonada and it was good and refills were included. We shared a piece of chocolate cake that was a little too choclately for the BF, but I liked it. All in all it was an okay experience and we might return. Today we were happy that we had a coupon.

We ordered unsweet tea and an Horchata latte to drink. I am not a huge fan of chatter and I feel like this blend of coffee and Horchata was amazing! The only thing that kind of threw me off was the sprinkles, but it was cute I guess. I think I would've preferred a cold foam over whipped cream but thats just a preference. I will see all of their coffees are made with whole milk so there is a substitution charge. If you are someone that prefers something other than whole milk or if you have a food allergy to milk. Also note that the only other substitutions are almond milk and oat milk. They do not have lactose free milk as an option. Now for the food, I'm not sure if it's because we went on a Monday, but our service was awesome. It was our first time there, so we did take a little while looking over the menu, but our waitress ( I believe her name was Melissa) was super good about giving us some time and coming back shortly after to get our orders. My boyfriend ordered the chilaquiles de Barbacoa and he added a sunny side up egg to that, and he said they were very good. He was a little jealous that his Chilaquiles did not come with a side of potatoes like the other plate lol. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with my choice of a sunny side up egg and bacon as the protein. This was super filling for me. I love a runny sunny side up egg and they did just that! No critiques on my end and my boyfriend took a bite because he was still hungry and he agreed 10/10. The potatoes were normal potatoes. They weren't too salty, and they had a flavor with the bell pepper peppers and onions that were added to it. Overall, I'd come again I would just be worried that during their more popular hours it would get busy since this was a random weekday.

It is kind of hidden next to the museum but we found it after a couple of minutes. I can see why they want to move to a different location so you can find them easier and so the seating can maybe look a little more elevated. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and it wasn't too full so we chose to sit in a corner and it wasn't too full pretty quiet. This was a nice little change compared to most brunch places that are loud, we enjoyed being able to talk without yelling. There is only one server so I'm not sure how they do it if it gets busy but he was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We got a green tea with pineapple and a raspberry tea. They came unsweetened so you could add the sugar you wanted and customize the sweetness. Soft drinks (Coke, sprite etc) were not refillable so I'm not sure if it was a can or bottle. Coffee was available (cafe de olla) and also had free refills. I got the eggs Benedict with a spinach crepe and it was pretty good. I liked the fruit it came with, it was super fresh and the eggs were perfect! My boyfriend got the poblano chicken with a spinach crepe and this one was AMAZINGGGG! I know why the server said it was his favorite. He added some spice with the chile and it was perfect. I would 1000% come back for more and I will definitely go to the new location for this specific plate. The chicken was shredded perfectly, corn, poblano pepper and the cheese was all delicious. We ordered a side of almond flour pancakes because we were pretty hungry and weren't sure if our plates would satisfy us but we loved these! It comes with strawberries, bananas chocolate sauce and I think roasted pecans. It was so yummy and the pancakes were a little dense but the toppings complimented it so well. I do wish the server came back so I could ask for more syrup because my boyfriend and I like to drown our pancakes but that little cup was fine. Overall I would definitely come back and try other things on their menu. I hope they get a soda fountain since I am a Coke Zero addict but their tea was not bad. I also got to try their mostachon with strawberries and that was hands down the best mostachon I have ever had. I will be looking into ordering a full size one because it is worth it!!
