Gazpacho's has a fairly wide menu but their tacos shine. Six come with an order as they are street size but they have a half order option. The servers met us at the door and we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Poblano soup was a big hit with the table and is something one should try. The storefront makes this feel very casual but the warmth is real.

The Azteca soup was tasty. I think I expected more from it because of all the rave in the reviews about it but it was still very good. I finished my cup after adding all the fixings but my friend did not. He left half a cup behind. The Gazpacho ceviche was delicious and perfectly balanced. Just beware of the power of spiciness of the chopped up habanero on the side. I thought it was melon or cheese and it took me awhile to recover! The crème brûlée was delicious too. One if the best I've ever tried. I also had the sangria because a review described it as having marinated fruits but when I got mine, it only had a strawberry on the rim and no marinated fruit. I asked the waiter and he quickly chopped up some watermelon and pineapple for me. I threw it all in and it was an overall refreshing, tropical, and scrumptious drink. My overall favorite though, was the shrimp and chicken pasta! It is one of the best pastas I've ever had. Great sized portion, perfectly cooked, and a great sauce! I will definitely be back for that!

I very much enjoyed my first experience here at the Gazpacho's restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and took all the precautionary measures during this time of the pandemic. Masks were mandatory which I very much appreciated and they also sell masks for $6.00! I went with two of my friends and we all enjoyed our meals and will definitely return in the future.

We got los tablitos, nanos empanadas, and the Gazpacho's ceviche...it was all absolutely delicious!!!! The staff was friendly. They even gave us cake on the house as the day's special!!!

dinner with coworkers. Two of us had linguine two had steak. Both of us who ordered steak ordered it medium-rare to our disappointment and came out super rare. We sent it back and it still came out rare. other than that it's a pretty good deal with four of us eight for $120. With your meal came to sides and a salad. Nice little spot just be very specific about how you want your steak done

This place never disappoints!! Great location, good food. Good, friendly service and staff. The Aztec soup is my main reason for returning. The free bread and butter combination is delicious as well. Every dish I've ordered so far taste great, and the perfect amount is always served. I will definitely continue to come to Gazpacho's.

Great tacos, bread was good. For more bread they charge but only $3. $17 for tacos is I guess a thing now but at least here they're good.

If Brownsville had a culinary passport, this place would be on Page 1…read more Stopped here on a road trip and honestly wasn't expecting much but BRUHH this taqueria humbled every overpriced "artisan taco" I've ever had in my life. Let's start with the soup. A $2.99 Frijoles Special bowl that tasted like somebody's abuela has been guarding this recipe since the Aztecs. Rich broth, perfect seasoning, actual depth of flavor. Meanwhile my lemonade cost 10 cents less than the soup which tells you EVERYTHING about how real this place is. The tacos? There are 7 types of tacos so we ended up ordering one of each type LOL including the intestines one. Ridiculously good and ridiculously cheap. $1.79-3.29. You know how some restaurants give you one sad tortilla and a spoonful of meat? Not here. These tacos come correct, juicy, flavorful, generous portions, fresh tortillas, and salsa that lets you know it's alive. I could feel the love going into these 7 tacos for real. Real border-town flavor. Zero tourist traps, zero nonsense. Everything tasted fresh, fast, and made with actual pride. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, no "Instagram aesthetic." Just real food for real people at prices that make you question every taco you've ever ordered north of San Antonio. Service was friendly, food came out fast, and the whole vibe feels like a community spot where locals have been eating for years. If you want authentic Mexican food without getting scammed by trendy taco bars, this is THE place. I'd drive back to Brownsville just for another bowl of that soup.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm that set the tone for an exceptional evening. Let's talk about the food: the grilled octopus was nothing short of perfection--expertly charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with fresh, vibrant microgreens. Every bite was a masterclass in balance and flavor, showcasing the kind of culinary skill that can only come from recipes passed down through generations. The authentic Mexican flavors here are deeply rooted in tradition, yet elevated with a modern touch. It's clear the chef-owner has honed their craft under Michelin-starred mentors. That level of expertise comes through in every dish--from the nuanced seasoning to the thoughtful plating. And then there's the drink: La Paloma de Mi Corazón--hands down one of the most refreshing, clean-tasting cocktails I've ever had. Bartender Benito is a true artist behind the bar, blending flavors with precision and passion. He absolutely rocked that drink! The customer service was exceptional throughout. Attentive without being overbearing, every staff member made us feel genuinely cared for. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the front and back of house operate in perfect harmony. Whether you're a local foodie or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Authentic, elevated, and unforgettable. Can't wait to come back.
