However it said that the hotel check in closed at 8pm. A man answered the doorbell and was really friendly. He had us checked in and gave us a key. He then told us the best place to park, opened up the room for us, showed us the tv remotes, and the heater. The room was cozy and pretty clean for the most part. The towels did look very old and worn out. I also found that the toilet was dirty even though it had one of those clean seals on it. The hotel was right by the lake which was beautiful and they have a kids play area as well in their "courtyard". Ok now for the fun part, I stayed up until 10pm watching a movie and the people staying next to our room were extremely loud. The walls are paper thin since I could hear the conversation the lady was having on the phone. The person next to us kept walking back and forth throughout the room until probably 2am. Then when I finally was able to go to sleep the people upstairs woke up early in the morning and I could hear their footsteps going back and forth as well. It was definitely a rough night with little sleep. This hotel has no bed bugs and it is right off the road so it's convenient if you want to stop by somewhere to sleep. However, your quality of sleep all depends on the people around you and how much noise their making at later hours of the night.

We absolutely love coming to Salmon Arm Campground and Resort each year. This year is number four…read more The hosts, Joe, Sera and Antoinetta are lovely. They make each guest feel like they are happy you are here. The pool is great and open most of the day each day. They have laundry facilities and free showers. There is a store conveniently stocked with a lot of "Ooops, we forgot to bring..." items. The campground itself is treed and the gardens have beautiful flowers. There is also a Koi pond. They also offer a playground for the little ones. The sites are fairly spacious and can accommodate most campers/rvs. It is located just minutes from Salmon Arm city centre. We find we love the location, the customer service and the overall camping experience! We will continue to plan our annual vacation at Salmon Arm Campground and Resort.

The rooms are large, clean and well-heated or air conditioned (depending on the season). George and Lorry are accommodating and friendly and their rate for me is wonderful. Until recently, I had my black Labrador with me on my trips. Sadly, he has died now. If you are travelling with your dog, my only suggestion is that you bring a bed for him/her because the floors are hardwood and it will be more comfortable for them. The restaurant is very good and there is a Subway across the road and Tim Horton's next door. On my last trip, I noticed they had a "FOR SALE" sign in front of the property. It appears it is no longer operating. SAD! :-(

We were in Kamloops looking online for a place to spend the night and we found the rate quite enticing, considering it's the same rate as some of the budget hotels just off the hwy. This location is just off the hwy near Chase. We reserved over the phone and headed straight over. It was nice to stay on the lakefront and we even built a campfire! Blaire is the lovely woman who runs it, she is a great host to chat with & makes killer pancakes! This is an HI hostel so if you have a membership you get a discount. We traveled during the pandemic so lucky for us we had a whole caboose to ourselves - we are a couple. Normally they sleep up to 6 (there are 4 cabooses) dorm style. There are 3 bunks in each (well ours anyways), kitchen, toilet and sink, large lockers, sitting area, and each caboose has it's own outdoor picnic table & bbq. The bunk bed is a very comfy single size mattress. I had a great sleep! Showers are in a building close by. You can pay a bit extra for pancake breakfast with coffee or tea, well worth it! The trainwagon is now used as dorm with view of the lake. What i liked: - definitely unique accomodation (kids will love it) - view over the lake - included is use of the canadian canoe - basic, very good priced accomodation - friendly and helpful staff ( even though i arrived well before check in time, i still could check in and got loads of tips). Even though the highway is next to the hostel, it did not really bother me. I slept very well. Tip: you will need a car to get here. It is idealy located between whistler and the rocky mountains, so good stop over on a roadtrip Very reasonable pricing.

The suite was an oasis with the balcony having a private hot tub with a great view of the lake. The suite had more than enough space with an gas fireplace that provided great atmosphere after a soak in the hot tub. The weather permitted for us to enjoy the heated pool a couple times which was heated. The drive is quick to Sorrento highly recommend to try Frankie's Pizza and Sprockets Cafe. The owners of the property were quick to respond to any questions and Christine made our experience so welcoming. We hands down will be returning guests as the atmosphere was perfect for rest and relaxation. So if you are looking for a place to rent that provides the comforts of home with added benefits of rest and relaxation of a hot tub and surroundings of beautiful landscape of BC.
