    Supai Frybread, delish!
    Caroleann B.

This cafe was a treat to visit a day after we had hiked to Mooney, and Beaver Falls. The air conditioned restaurant and COLD drinks were most welcoming. Wi-Fi was free with plenty of USB plugs along the large windows. All backpacks must be hung outside, I could understand why. They would take up a lot of space on the floor, chairs and tables. We were fortunate that during our visit it was not busy (Saturday afternoon). Although there is plenty seating inside I can imagine this place could easily become packed with hikers and locals. Masked are required at this time when entering the village and businesses. I forgot mine at camp and entered with my bandana and no one complained. I ordered a Supai Frybread, basically a hamburger on a Frybread with fixings and a nice large cold drink! It was nice to have something cold to drink. Placing drinks in the creek with a netted bags kept our drinks a tad cool, but not enough to quench your thirst. So having ice in your drink was such a treat! The food was good. It came out quickly, fresh and tasty. We also added some fries and onion rings to our order. I only took a couple of pictures , not want to disrespect their rules. The photo of me and my husband you are able to see the outlets just below the windows. The cafe was definitely nice to have if you wanted something besides your dehydrated food at camp. It was also nice to have a clean restroom with running water. The things we take for granted.... Definitely give this place a try, support the locals.

The Supa Cafe provided a clean and spacious environment, with fabulous restrooms that were a welcome change from those at the campsite. Unfortunately, the staff appeared to be less than friendly, with no smiles or thanks offered, suggesting that they might be annoyed of the influx of tourists. Despite this, the food was excellent. The cafe was a pleasant place to sit and relax, unwind and offered charging stations for your electronics. This also was a unique opportunity to watch helicopters come and go while we waited for our own departure from the village. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Breakfast burritos were fire homemade tortillas!! Yummy!!

Might as well drop a review while I'm here. I have to preface this review with...I get hungry as heck when I backpack. So this review could be an honest review OR it could be a review from a hungry backpacker... If you're here and getting anything that's not frybread related, you're doing it all wrong. Don't rob your tastebuds the amazing opportunity of eating their frybread. In all honestly, their frybread is soft and delicious. They pair that up with other toppings making a Supai taco, Supai chili cheese dog, even a Supai burrito. If you're in a tent with another person, get ready because they load these up with tons of beans! Beans beans beans! So much beans! You can grab your Supai taco and enjoy it in front of a stunning view. They're reasonably priced for being 80mi from any other food source. Keep in mind, these guys are still cash only, so bring enough. If you can't make the 1mi (2mi?) hike into the village from the campgrounds, there's a frybread stand on top of the Havasu Falls. Their selection is slightly different but definitely still frybread oriented. I really like their sweet toppings which i dont think the shop in the village has. Ok, get off yelp and go enjoy the nature.

What is everyone expecting? This is in the middle of nowhere. It's just nice to have a cooked meal after a bit of hiking. I decided I just wanted to try the fry bread on its own. The menu said either an Indian taco or choice of toppings. I asked the server what the choices of topics were. She said "oh, we have 1 choice of topping, honey." Okay... I wouldn't call that a choice but I applaud the marketing savvy. It certainly sounded impressive to get a choice of one thing. The fry bread is what you would expect. Sugary dough with a nice golden brown fry on it. A little doughy, with honey it tasted a bit like a fair elephant ear. Fun. Prices are high but consider where you are. Best place in town so you have to review this based on the area it's in.

Ok, we can all find something to complain about... ...it took 49 minutes for a cheeseburger and tater tots ...they only had sugar free syrup ...there was no ice for the fountain drinks But if you take a step back and realize you're in the middle of the Grand Canyon, you really should be appreciative for: ...I was able to get a tasty hot meal after a long day of remote hiking ...I could have ordered bacon and eggs ...the fountain drinks came out cold, and I was totes thirsty This is a great cafe, albeit the only cafe in the village. And if you gotta have your Pops, they can deliver

How can one not be a fan of this place!? After at least 8 miles hike in, at the bottom of the canyon, hours of feeding on various energy bars, this place is like god sent! Nothing beat a cup of chilli and some good fried wings....the price is super reasonable for being the monopoly here, and the super nice havasupai hospitality! they are really patients and friendly...they are probably the nicest and friendliest monopoly! i am super impressed by their extensive condiment selection too, and I don't even use much condiments.....skippy peanut butter, sweet baby ray bbq sauces...man...what more can you ask for being at the bottom of the canyon, out of reach from the outside world where i bet no grubhub would deliver to?! i was going to order the chilli burger, but after i was told that it comes 2 patties, i decided to go with the chilli and some wings...i was hungry, but i still don't know if i could devour that amount of food...even one of the other patrons told me that it was a lot for her hubby... Granted the beef in the chilli tasted a bit....weird (either this must be what free range, grassfed cows taste like or...mcd/white castle has part of the beef ownership...latter theory may be more of a true statement judging from my friend's burger)... but hey, i am not 'picky'...i mean...it's all about expectation...i was really just expecting cup o'noodles, cold stale pizzas and some sorta microwavable food when my friend first told me that they have a cafe down here so we didn't have to pack much food...and honestly, the wings i had was REALLY good! i would take those any days even when i am not inside the canyon! my friend had it the next day and she loved them too! We were gonna grab breakfast the next day before our hike to the falls, but water interruption in the ENTIRE village closed down this restaurant for an unforeseeable period of time. I literally felt like the end of the world in a sense that i would have to keep eating protein bars and wouldn't be getting my chili and the chicken strips i'd been thinking the WHOLE night for my dinner after the hike while my friend was worried about the shower...#firstworldproblems #mypriority..... But imagine you were one of the havasupai....you got more than chili and wings to deal with...so adjust your expectation accordingly...like one reviewer said...if you want resort, go to scottsdale...

It aint no Ruth Chris, but after 8 miles in 90-100 heat and a few thousand feet descent, I'll take it.

Unlike some other Yelpers, I had no issue with the slow service, menu selection, quality of food, or the price of my meals. I'm in the Grand Canyon, sitting in an air conditioned building without having to cook whatever food I just ordered. I'm cool with having to pay premium and never expected gourmet. In fact, charge me more. All I ask for is a smile in return. Really, the ugly local native attitude by every employee in this restaurant was a buzz kill for me. My gawd, I didn't just kill your dog, take away your next meal or do anything to your phone you can't get your head out of long enough to take my order. Super friendly, happy to have you visit my land service would be nice, but I don't even need that. I just wanted less attitude, less huffing about being put out by having to ring up my order and less eye rolls over EVERYthing! That said, I ate here 3 times. I had eggs twice and a boca burger which I strongly recommend. Either I was starving from hiking or it was amazingly delicious!

High Prices But The Only Game In Town $5 for soda or lemonade with $2.50 refill gets expensive.... The food is alright, but high prices for what it is. The Supai Frybread was decent... Expect to pay over $30 for two people to eat here in the little cafe....

    French toast and chorizo? burrito.

Due to the location and the mission one must go through to get here (to include supply deliveries), I find it really hard to give this place a negative rating. Sure, the staff may get there and open the doors in the morning at their conveniece. Sure, the food isn't cooked by a 7 star cheff. Sure, it might be a little pricier than Mc.donalds. Sure, it may or may not taste like goat testicles. But... who are we to complain? We're out in the middle of nowhere. You could very well be stuck eating goat testicles to survive. I only stopped by this place for breakfast on my way out. I had one of their meat and potato burritos along with an order of french toast. The portions for both of these were generous. I actually thought the french toast was one of the best I've had so far, but that could've just been because I was living off MREs for days before this meal. The burrito wasn't bad either. They were out of some utensils this morning but again everything is carried in here so you really can't be upset if this happens. Go outside and gather some twigs. Make a fork out of nature like a real survivalist. Tip: for the sake of not having people trip over a cluster truck of bags, they have hooks out front to hang your packs on. Not sure if it's a rule or not but all 30+ people cramming in here that morning were smart enough to leave their stuff outside.

I said I'm dining alone and I don't want to just leave my food outside (I've gotten up to get something before and came back to someone clearing my table despite the fact that I was still eating since I was alone and they assumed I'm leaving). Anyway her response was a surly "no one's going to steal your food." It was mean. It hurt my feelings and did not make me feel like a valued customer. It wasn't even busy today so I can't imagine why she had to be rude. Maybe you can get away with this with the tourists because you'll never see them again but I live here. Really disappointed. I've been here so may times and everyone has always been nice and this was uncalled for :( ruined my day. I still have half a pizza left I don't even want to eat because I'm so disappointed. Thank you to another customer that saw the interaction and jumped in to say they'd keep the bugs buzzing around off my food while I go inside. That was the only saving grace.
